Malouda holding onto the ball too long. Only annoying when you're beating Genk but costly there.
-
A yellow for Terry but not Kenny. Yeah.
-
More crosses like that are the only hope now. Foy won't give Chelsea a penalty.
-
Foy, you're an asshole. Asshole.
-
Who doesn't have a yellow for Chelsea?
-
To nick a point would be a superhuman effort.

Oh well, maybe we can keep all the shit luck in this game and get on with it. So, so worried about Mata. For all those who said Modric wasn't needed...if Mata isn't on the pitch, we have very little creativity and we can't play Genk every week. Drogba had 3 games to reclaim his starting spot and he not only produced very little, he did the one thing to even hurt his team more. It's not just the bad form, he physically can't play at a high speed anymore. The game was passing him by and that challenge reflected his frustration.
-
This team has no composure whatsoever. Not just bad play but absolutely low on character. Drogba should be embarrassed by that. Should be a leader for the team and he produces that.
-
So a team closes down quick and Chelsea falls to pieces. Think teams will be doing a lot of that now.
-
Fuck off! What a horrible call!!! They're both shoulder to shoulder on each other. Stupid bastard.
-
If we can't beat Qpr without Torres and Ramires, we don't deserve the league.
-
Drogba should have given it back to Mata.
-
Bags of physical ability, just does not have good defensive instincts. Install Terry's brain in Luiz and he would be the best CB in the league.
-
David, david.... Not just the stupid penalty but letting that ball bounce in the box.
-
Oh good, Chelsea wearing their pajamas uniform today.

Don't forget the white bandage on his left wrist. He had a minor injury with Spain over a month ago. If he keeps his form, wanna bet we'll see that white bandage in May? Maybe he's got a whole new set of rituals now that he's at Chelsea. I've noticed the changes too. Aside from the switch to short sleeves, he's no longer coming out of the tunnel 3rd in line. For Spain and Liverpool, he would always make sure to be 3rd behind Casillas/Ramos and Gerrard/Carragher. He had claimed he was no longer as superstitious as he was while at Atletico but I think he just got new ones to replace the old ones. Hopefully he get plenty of new goals to replace the old goals.

Gotta get 3 points from this one since up north one of the Manc teams will drop 3 or they both drop 2. It'll be one of the few weekends one or both of those teams drop points so Chelsea has take advantage. Drogba will start but I'm confident Anelka can do the job if DD doesn't get it done after 45-60 minutes.

Going to be debbie downer here and just say Torres has impersonated a good striker so far this season. Nine games (should have been more, dullard!) and I would say he's had two stinkers with Norwich and Sunderland but has since looked good in his last 5 games. He needs to step it one more gear and I'll be comfortable with saying he's back to his best. Plus, he needs to do it over 10-12 games before I'm convinced. After that, I'll be both overjoyed and greatly relieved.
-
Lipton probably realized that Torres doesn't give a shit whatever he writes. He can call off the hate campaign and just report the games without his snidey jibes.
-
Excellent report. I would only change: It skipped into the net didn't it? Your description makes it sound like it he hit it high.
-
Yeah, but they're British and really, really get Liverpool.
-
That's better. I like how some of them think Carroll, once he gets past this bad patch, is going to be as good or better than Drogba. Haha. Does Carroll even 1/10 the skills of DD? Carroll will get better and likely have a decent career. He has a cannon of a left peg and he'll ping in a few goals but he's not going to be Didier Drogba II. I think he'll do well if he manages to stay in the PL for the next decade or so scoring 12-15 goals a season. That is a good career. A 35M career? A career for a "big club"? Oh, and that is if he manages to stay away from injuries or prison.
-
The Champions League is nothing without Liverpool, nothing. Barcelona are not worthy Champions as Liverpool weren't in the competition last season. I do feel sorry for Carroll in a way because he's in a similar situation as Torres has been/was in. He's not thriving in LFC's current line-up and would probably do better back in Newcastle. But then I think of the malicious crap Torres had to put up with the last 9 months and though I feel bad for Carroll as a person, I sure as hell don't feel bad for the Liverpool supporters-in the stands, on the boards and especially those in the media. I hope they never replace their old #9.

Malouda is quality, he just undermines his overall performances with an unwillingness to take the better option when he's near goal. It's been brought up repeatedly so I don't think it's just me who's noticed this unappealing trait. Every player can be selfish now and then, especially strikers. But somehow Anelka and Torres can make a pass on a consistent basis. What's Malouda's excuse? And his selfishness is really blatant when games are settled and it's obvious he's going for a goal. Torres, on a hattrick, opted to pass the ball twice in the box in the waning minutes of the game. And to be honest I think he should have gone for goal. But if he had opted for being greedy, at least he had the tiny, tiny excuse of a hattrick in waiting.

I'm not of the religious persuasion myself but I think the moment between Torres and Luiz was indicative of a good dressing room. Religious or not, there's obvious affection and concern for teammates there. I like ribbing Luiz a lot but he does look to be a good guy.
