According to a tweet on BBC, Anelka's missed his last 3 PKs.

Penalty miss was disappointing but Chelsea's 2nd team is even with Everton's 1st team. So that's good....

Radio commentary was that Anelka was very nonchalant with his pen. Let's not pick him for PKs again.

To clarify Terry is absolutely innocent until proven otherwise in my eyes. I may have not written my post better because it was about possible 'whys' and such since an official investigation has been launched. If the FA can not find definitely against Terry, he should be cleared and be left in good standing. So that's that. Sorry to say that he has lots of black friends and teammates reasoning isn't always airtight. Let's take Terry out of this just to make sure I'm not impugning him unfairly. So speaking generally, a person can say something in the heat of the moment that he may take care to not say around co-workers. Luis Aragones who disparaged Thierry Henry racially had black ex-players who stood up for the old coach and said he was like a father to them. Yet, he was 100% caught on camera describing Henry in a very crude and cringeworthy term. We're human, we are capable of contradictions.

Don't conflate the referee's performance with the issue that Terry is being investigated for racist abuse.

Well, Terry and AVB claimed the issue was over because Terry and Ferdinand had a chat after the match. That doesn't jibe with the fact that the FA has opened an investigation with QPR's request. Either Ferdinand didn't agree about the chat and requested an inquiry OR QPR and/or the FA are going ahead with the investigation despite Ferdinand's non-cooperation. This is serious stuff. I'd like to think Terry would not racially abuse someone. Obviously because I wouldn't want to support a player of questionable racial sensitivity. But even if he and I disagreed on the subject matter, I'd like to think he's not stupid enough to spout racial nonsense in a PL match under white hot glare. Please tell me players nowadays know better? In any case aside from the thorny morality issues, this is going to hang over the club until a resolution is reached. Fail to get a result against Arsenal and it will be a very slippery slope.

RVP is the most in form striker now. I'm very worried about him especially with Chelsea's ongoing shaky defense. If QPR could pressure Chelsea early into trouble and giving the ref opportunities to make those 50-50 calls, imagine what RVP can do.

Torres scored a brace against Arsenal in 2009 in a 4-4 game (Arshavin scored all 4!). I wouldn't mind a repeat performance by Torres but with a Chelsea win of course.

And having a very flat start and generally looking less than threatening even when we had 11 men on the pitch. As great was the fight in the 2nd half, Chelsea have no one to blame but themselves before Boswinga was sent off (the one egregiously bad decision we can lay at Foy's door). The 2nd red just made it mission impossible. Chelsea lost their heads in the first half and even a brilliant spirited 2nd half couldn't overcome it.

I love, love Luiz, I do. But the thing I can say about him is he's fundamentally unreliable as a CB. And that's just about the worst thing you can say about a CB when they're supposed to be 100% bedrock solid. He is supremely gifted but is seriously lacking in Defense 101--just the very basics. He can do everything physically but his decision making and positioning border on childish.

Problem though is the refs will take care of their own, so I expect more reffing crap for Chelsea after AVB's words.

Barca have played the season so far with any combo of Puyol, Pique, Sanchez and Iniesta out. Understandably, they've had some bad results but losing Torres and Ramires shouldn't have affected Chelsea for QPR. That's just not acceptable for a title contender. Drogba, Lampard, Mata, Meireles and company in decent form should handle QPR easily. The team was sluggish at the start and Foy's decisions just completely rattled them. Drogba finished it off with his red. A 10 man Chelsea should have still been good enough to grab a point. But with only 9 men, it just turned into desperation. Foy's penalty call and red for Bos were questionable but once Chelsea were down to 9 and it was all out craziness, you can't entirely blame Foy for letting it go out control. He was completely responsible for the shit call on Bos. That one he owns.

Foy was awful today but to be fair, what AVB said could have applied to Chelsea. Never looked composed even where there 11 of them on the pitch. If Chelsea are that bad without Torres and Ramires, then we're nowhere close enough to City much less Barca and RM in the CL.

The worry is if we'll have any players around for Arsenal, who of course, are rounding in to form.

Obviously doesn't care. Honestly, I hate to harp on this but Drogba's red made it impossible. Really can't fathom how he could have done that when there was already an early red against Chelsea. Wish Sturridge had stayed on instead. His young legs would have covered more ground than Drogba.

Credit to the boys for their fight in the 2nd half, including Luiz. But his decision to not deal with that ball in the box was the first domino. You can't blame for Foy for that.

The ref has been awful but I'm putting this down early, Chelsea shouldn't have let started so slowly. Cost us today.
