  1. Fantastic news Javi. Thanks. Would appreciate if you can pass on details of exactly what happened? I don't remember seeing any clash of heads but I had a bad stream.
  2. Must have been awful for his family watching on TV and not knowing the extent of the injury. Good to hear he'll be fine. Lots of rest, Nando. No computer or tv screens, let the brain recover.
  3. For those who think Aquilani is useless...wasn't just the goal, he played well. AS is reporting Torres was disoriented in the dressing room, hmmm. Wonder when he clashed heads? Did he try to play on for awhile? Hope not.
  4. Ollie, the penalty was for Chiellini pulling Llorente's shirt. From the stream, it was very difficult to tell. Thought it a bit soft.
  5. Reports are he's okay but getting a scan as a precaution. What happens after that, who knows. Concussions are hard to gauge. Can people extend the rioting? Kidding, kidding...
  6. Wow, scary. I've been there. I had the opposite problem, I could hear but couldn't talk. Hopefully, a bit of rest and no bright lights, and he'll be okay.
  7. Spain really needs to start promoting some of their youth defenders because Albiol and Arbeloa are not the answer to when the starters like Puyol and Ramos are out.
  8. deleted because i just reread your comment. thanks for the info.
  9. Yes, they are. I've had two in the last few years, one where I got a free ambulance ride to the emergency room. But I'm relieved it wasn't like he damaged his ligaments and would be out for 6 months, etc. Concussions vary from person to person and it may just be a headache for a few days or have long term effects. To be honest, I've not felt the same since my two accidents. Both of them on my bike and one of them I cracked my helmet through when I landed head first. If it's a concussion then I suspect he'll be out for a bit as a precaution even if he feels fine.
  10. Okay, Marca are now reporting it as a concussion. Phew. May mean he won't be available for Stoke then, as a precaution. How did it happen?
  11. It was a bad stream but I can't remember any incident that would have caused him injury. It could have happened off screen I guess. Marca's explanation google translated comes off strangely but it didn't sound like it was a common injury. Again, it sounded like he got lightheaded and asked to go off. He went down the tunnel on his own. Italy are killing Spain btw. Not that I care at this point. I just wanted Torres to come out uninjured and that may have gone down the toilet!
  12. The translation from Marca is pretty bad but something about having a brownout and not hearing properly and was frightened. It IS NOT a muscular problem. Hopefully it's just a matter of heat exhuastion or dehydration.
  13. Complained about this game a couple of weeks ago. F'ing joke this is. And then there is a qualifier after only 3 league games. I can't believe this. Please, please let this just be a precaution.
  14. Yep. My stream hiccup just as I saw Llorente on the sideline. And when the stream came back on, Torres was down the stairs. Hopefully it's just a precaution. Guess VDB won't be playing this line-up anymore. What a nightmare. I'm sure Torres will get blamed for it.
  15. Torres replaced by Llorente and has gone to the dressing room!
  16. Spain having a nightmare. Alonso in particular. The makeshift defense just got exposed. Puyol and Ramos had better get healthy.
  17. Marca is showing Spain's formation as 4-2-3-1 which is Torres' preferred system. Good news.
  18. Love that VDB is starting Silva with Torres and Iniesta. I think that's a great front 3. Hopefully, Torres carries on his growing confident form.
  19. Why not go against conventional wisdom of fighting the physicality of Stoke with more brute strength? I'd rather pace, movement and creativity to counter their physical play. Why not play Yossi, Josh and Torres and work Stoke to death chasing the ball?
  20. Unfortunately, AM are run by clowns. Falcao may do well there, but like Aguero or Torres, will want to move on to win things once he sees the management have not bothered to bring in other players to push for 3rd in La Liga. At 25, he's inbetween Aguero and Torres and Forlan. Forlan blossomed pretty late in Europe and at 32, he probably knows his days at the top are closing down and he's happy to play out his contract and score a few goals. Plus, he picked up a couple of 2nd tier trophies with AM last year. Torres and Aguero started out at 17 and 18 with AM and both left by 23 because they wanted to win win major trophies in their primes. Why is Falcao leaving Porto, who have the CL for AM who aren't even in Europe this year? It may well tell you something about his ambitions. So in 2 or 3 years, does Falcao pull a Torres or does he stick around like Forlan?
  21. Sturridge may play well but it'll he'll be a better version of Kalou and Anelka. So he'll be a striker posing as a winger. For all the good he'll do, I'm afraid he won't stay wide
  22. Mirror Martin Lipton predicting Chelsea's starting lineup for the Stoke game already. He has Sturridge in the starting lineup. I hope Chelsea won't be at too much of a disadvantage with Daniel watching from the stands. Will Lipton be embarrassed again on Chelsea TV?
  23. I heard he beats his children if they do. Think this will picked up as an "exclusive"? God, I wish I had a bridge to sell to scousers.
  24. Torres speaks Swedish, it's really similar to Spanish. See how they both start with "S"? Just tell that to LFCers, they'll believe it.
  25. Haven't seen him play but very excited about Romeu, intrigued to see how many minutes he'll actually be getting. As a LaMasia product, he should be plenty skillful for a defensive mid. Think it'll be a matter if he can adapt to the PL game. No doubts Torres will be taking care of him. Dani Pacheco said Torres went out of his way to help him when he arrived in Liverpool as a 17 year old.
