Copyright infringement is a civil case (unless it's piracy or mass distribution / selling of said item) and would be done in the small claims courts anyway, it's a load of rubbish. Only reason for them to "sue" you would be over any damages; and unless they are selling the image for some reason - those damages would be exactly £0 (and if they are, they would have to prove how much they make on selling these images, which in all likely hood, is probably £0). It's 50% of the fee over what they paid for him. So if we signed him for 40 million euros, they would get 2 million. They don't get 50% of the total transfer fee. As it stands (if 33 million euros is correct), they won't get anything.
