  1. I defer to the SB experts. Like you said until we see the pics... I feel like he's the lochness monster, big foot, etc. Everybody saw it but show me the pic. Please!
  2. Maybe they confused Mata with AVB? Waiting for the pics.
  3. I would love for Mata to be there but going through the main entrance? That seems a little off even with security. As long as he signs for Chelsea, that's all that matters.
  4. If the translation is correct, at the request of AVB, Torres was recruiting Mata. Use what resources you have to close a deal.
  5. http://translate.google.com/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&sl=es&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Felvalencianista.lavanguardia.es%2Ffichajes%2F81607-la-venta-de-mata-al-chelsea-es-inminente Torres has been exchanging messages with Mata throughout the summer selling Chelsea to him. Who knew Torres was an agent in his spare time.
  6. I get what you're saying. The view seems to be that every Spanish player wants to go to Barca or Madrid. If they can't go there they'll go somewhere else begrudgingly (or that's the impression from the Spanish media which can be tilted quite heavily toward either Barca or Madrid). The Spanish media has a hard time believing any player of quality would want to leave Spain so they must not be quite that special. Silva when he left Valencia and arrived at City was desperately homeseek for several months. He missed the warm weather, the food, the language, everything. Now's he's a dynamo for that team. As with anybody new to a country it takes time to adjust. Anybody else Chelsea should take a look at at Valencia? Villa, Silva, now Mata.
  7. I can't find the link now because work hasn't mata'd this afternoon and I kept looking at juan more site for info.
  8. During the last international break that seemed to knock some cobwebs loose for Torres, he and his brother stopped by Atleti. He jokingly asked if they were looking for a #9. If he ever returns home it may be for a final hurrah at Atleti where by all accounts he is still worshipped.
  9. Its just a Mata of time before we see Juan (father/agent) of the Matas at Cobham to finalize the deal. Supposedly father/agent will be at SB to watch the match.
  10. If Kalouda play maybe they'll have a game of a lifetime (in a good way) knowing that Mata is on the way.
  11. Am I the only one surprised at how quickly this has happened assuming the deal goes through?
  12. Twitter rumor @FourFourTom Internet reports claim Arsenal have sealed a 23million deal with Lille for Eden Hazard, which will be finalized IF they qualify for the CL.
  13. I feel better, Sid Lowe who has his ear very close to Spanish football said "Mata deal to Chelsea very close".
  14. I think we all want it to be true but you never know with any media sources with the exception of twitter which is gospel. Wouldn't it be a great way to start off the weekend if it does happen?
  15. Tapas at the Torres house with Torres, Mata, and Oriol.
  16. Like others have said Marca isn't the most reliable source out there. They have a tendency to stretch the truth.
  17. Soccerdemics says Valencia have accepted a bid from Chelsea for Juan Mata to discuss personal terms with the player.
  18. Supposedly Chelsea have been given permission by Valencia to speak to Juan Mata
  19. Twitter, the great social network of accuracy and accountability, is bombarded with "Mata bid accepted" tweets. Waiting for the substance to support these great tweets.
  20. Good lord! There's being optimistic and then there's just plain stupid.
  21. Agree. Also, as my daughter so eloquently says, they're "butt hurt" that he left under Kenny's watch. The cult of Kenny has its grasp on the scouse morons. They just cannot comprehend anybody not wanting to play for Kenny in their simple minds.
  22. Assuming Chelsea get Mata, WTF is Arsenal doing over there? Cesc was gone, just a matter of time and amount. Mata could have been had cheaper and would have fit right in at Arsenal. Instead they screw around and get nada. If I was an Arsenal fan I'd scream. Arsenal's loss, Chelsea's gain, hopefully. On the other hand, Chelsea could have had Mata cheaper too. At least Chelsea's excuse is AVB was still checking out his new squad.
