  1. Think I'd be on suicide watch if I spent 5 minutes in their company! Let's not forget we have to win every game easily whilst playing with an expansive attractive style, keep within FFP, the manager must possess manners, respect rival managers & just let them gob off about our club, be humble & dignified whilst licking the F.A's arse because they are rational in dealing with all things Chelsea, did I miss anything?! Internet has a bearing FB but we've had 18 years of success so most of these pessimist's have had it great so when the shit hits the fan the toys are well & truly thrown from their cyberpram! As I keep saying, if Jose goes & they get the manager of their choice it won't be long before they'll want him out as well when he hits a poor spell, rinse the manager - repeat!
  2. Last season we were the first team to make a profit in the transfer market in the PL that went on to win the title in ten seasons - yeah some credit due! If you want to talk about talent & sums spent then look no further than City & Pellegrino - still no CL or the latter stages i might add or Utd with what Moyes & Van Gaal have spent in the past 3 seasons whilst achieving nothing..... That said Jose has to improve, so far its been a disaster & one that is going to challenge him in more ways than one, he is so far away from the manager that we had first time around right now, no question of that.
  3. Jose has started the cull he should of done a month ago but its clear he didn't go far enough as the 2 main protagonists were again left untouched, its strange cus where ever I go I get the same feedback from fans regarding Ivanovich yet Jose keeps playing him? Now if the layman can see it then I'm damn sure Roman can? So with that in mind Jose is either making a point to the board, he wants the boot or as I keep saying there is deeper rumblings going on behind the scenes & not just Evagate either! There are 2 arguments that are regurgitating in this thread, the first blaming José for not becoming proactive in remedying our current predicament with team selection amongst a list of others that I tend to ignore & another where the players are equally at fault as they simply aren't giving that 100% commitment you'd expect or are just not giving the level of performance they are capable of & we all know there is so much more in their locker but are no where near their full throttle rendering José redundant in everything he tries to achieve. Well I'll tell you this, I concur with both arguments (please don't quote me on this or that I've read enough of the same old - thanks!) & I'll hold my hands up & be man enough to say Ive been wrong in my defence/views on José as is his current status managing our club.....however I won't give up on him either, I unequivocally don't agree with fans who want him out - their opinion, I just hope he is given the time to prove you lot wrong & then perhaps we can see who really are true Blues fans because they will be honest enough to eat some humble! Definitely more questions than answers, I just hope he finds the right chemistry & solution quickly. For me José can kill 2 birds with 1 stone by integrating some of the exceptional youth he has at his disposal thus dropping some of the senior players to give them a boot up the arse which if anything should make them perform to their level again, just one notion of where Jose has gone wrong but I'm one of those thousands of back seat managers!
  4. FYI, Three, yes 3 former PL referees one of which was the former head of the refereeing body(same as Mike Riley now) all said the same thing about Matic's sending off & that was he should never of got a red, he pushed Barnes below the neckline so that is not classed as violent conduct, they went on to state because of the nature of the challenge they completely understood Matic's reaction, therefore a yellow card should of sufficed so with that in mind, why shouldn't Jose defend Matic? Who incidently had to deal with a near career ending injury & you believe Matic shouldn't of reacted - did you not see that was a career ending tackle, no? & just to remind everybody, the Fuck All (F.A) didn't ban Barnes cus Atkinson saw the offense.....apparently so no retrospective action taken, now I wonder if it was Costa that did a 'Barnes' I'm pretty sure they'd find a way to give him a sabbatical! As for Costa, unfortunately he has raised his hands & the Fuck All won't miss an opportunity to hit us in any way they can, my beef with them is like I stated last season on the Matic situation, is that they never show consistency, Sparky Hughes has already made his point about one of his players being hard done by the Fuck All, then stating Arsenal & Gabriel conveniently getting let off......??? However they have made a rod for their own back because the amount of times players raise their hands in dead ball situations alone will bring about similar offences & I bet they do didley fucking squat unless its certain teams or more specifically certain players. Looking forward to yet more hypocrisy from the Fuck All & I bet our board are hoping for something similar to happen before they receive Costa's report.
  5. First of all, you obviously have not been reading my posts, I do believe I have 'blamed' Jose, you must of conviently missed that?! With that said I concur about your comment regarding Remy. I can understand why Moses went on loan cus we signed Pedro, yet most people wanted rid of Moses last season yet now we're struggling he should be a shoe in?! Easy with hindsight isn't it, no? We have no divine right to finish in the top 2, cannot believe you can make such a confident statement, City in my book had a far superior squad last season but it didn't help them win the league did it? It just doesn't work like that.
  6. Not sure about the compromise mate, we seem too fixated on making a few quid nowadays, that's evident with our current policy on loan players. Not withstanding the Cech transfer where Jose vehemently stated that he wanted to weaken Arsenals squad if they wanted Cech but was dealt a double whammy by the gutless board. Looking from the outside in, the board only started reacting when it was too late. Not sure why we seem to be complying with FFP cus City had their knuckles rapped then just splashed the cash again after a sudden relax from Pratini! Van Gaal has spent well in excess of £300m, whilst I understand we're not going to get all of Jose list, we should of got 1 quality signing this summer as a minimum. You're spot on regards Fergie though, José has not been in this position before, its time for him to show his mettle, he's been left with a squad he wanted to strengthen, so time to show he really is the special one! Confidence plays a massive part in football & I think tomorrows game has come at the right time for us, I hope Jose shakes things up - one good performance could kick start our season.
  7. Think someone flagged this up earlier in the thread, could of even been you Tomo? Fergie himself said he had to change the way Utd started the season cus Jose totally out foxed him in his first tenure, whilst that's not totally relevant to our current crisis it's something he had to address, it was indeed around that period that his team was struggling, he knew that he had to rebuild again & was given the time & patience to do so - Jose gave a list of players to the board he wanted back in April, he recognised that we needed to reinforce his squad, Utd were rewarded by backing Fergie, he didn't become a poor manager overnight & nor has Jose, of course he needs to get his shit together but he should be given wholehearted commitment from the board. The board had 4 months, 4 KIN MONTHS to get their shit together & we end up with some late scrambled FAILED bids. Its pretty clear he isn't or should I say doesn't have the final say on transfers which to me is dangerous route to go down IMHO.
  8. Not at all fella, let me ask you this, would you play Mikel alongside Matic in our current predicament? I wouldn't let him in my Sunday league team let alone in a PL fixture! The decision to play Mikel is bizarre in my book. It's not just who plays alongside Matic that's the problem, the offensive players have to work so much harder when we haven't got the ball.
  9. Think there are some quality posts from both sides of the argument, however I also believe that some are being over zealous & premature in wanting an imminent Jose departure. Even us staunch supporters of Jose simply cannot justify his current team selections which tbh is all I care about - I couldn't give a monkeys about what statement he comes out with next, it's what happens on the pitch that concerns me & he is simply not cutting it so deserves the flak coming his way. I am truly baffled by his stubbornness & long for the old Jose that would haul off players before half time if they weren't performing, I was at the Palace game & the only person in the stadium that couldn't see that Ivanovich & Fabregas needed taking off was him! That said you attack & defend as a unit & teams are being afforded far too much space, whilst the defence is taking the brunt, our attack has simply become too bone idol, I feel for Matic, whilst he has been poor too he has far to much ground to cover, he needs help in there & Jose needs to show some bollocks & start dropping these overpaid lazy superstars, I said in my last post a month'ish ago that they have to take responsibility also. I can't fathom why he has not changed the team - my only conclusion is he is actually after the sack?! I still believe he has been left high & dry by the transfer dealings of the board this summer, the fixtures in are pre season were poorly organised but I don't buy the players are tired crap, most teams are doing the same nowadays its just our players have become complacent & immuned from non selection. Things are certainly not right behind the scenes either, unfortunately we aren't privy to that.......yet! Jose has earned the right to have the time to turn it around, City had a similar run last season in the months leading to the end of the title race but their board stuck by Pelligrino & then gave him another £160m to boot & look at them now?! However we've seen in the passed that Roman takes no prisoners so he needs to make the fundamental changes necessary & quickly & that's despite the board not backing him. For those that won't Jose out I'm intrigued to find out how long will it take before you start berating your chosen appointment when things aren't going so smoothly? I wonder, is it the better the devil we know.....
  10. Can't disagree Tomoz, I'm not naive enough to think we're not without problems, for me there is clearly something amiss behind the scenes that us menials are not privy too. However my gut feeling is José is getting frustrated with the lack of activity in bolstering his squad, even us layman's know that after a title winning season you have to strengthen & we need 3 or 4 quality players. Jose picks the team & he has to take responsibility, however some of our players look so far off the pace its untrue, JT got the hook at half time but both Cahill & Iva were equally as bad, we might as well played with 10 men as Fabregas went AWOL, the whole squad bar Begovic look out of sync at the mo, maybe it's true that the players won't reach peak condition til Sept with the extended holiday he gave everyone, we've had a tough start & I expect City to win the league this year so hopefully our season starts now!
  11. There not supporting the team, then why is everything all but so negative......? Never said anything about things all Jose just reiterated some shit from posts previous, in fact I stated he's no angel! However there are pages on pages of bollocks of doom & gloom cus of doctorgate, etc etc, tbh I'm not going to have a long drawn out cyber discussion cus I've far better things to do with my time. However its astonishing reading some of the bollocks written on here just a few months after winning a Prem league title for the first time in 5 years & that was the only one we one since Jose left with largely his signings! We are not going to win it every season, its far tougher nowadays & fans have to be realistic to that fact, far too much pessimism for my liking on here.
  12. Not posted for months & nothing changes here, same old rinse Mourinho out to dry & repeat when it ain't going our way......oh less not forget we have to play wonderful attacking football whilst being respectful to all & sundry - cus that's all what matters more than winning, integrate young players whilst keeping a check on the finance's?! Anything I've forgotten please quote me - yeah miracle worker José is, can manage a miracle, part the waves & throw in a 'Messi'arrrhgggghhh' to boot! Less not forget last season where we were the first team in 10 years to make a profit in the transfer market that went on to winning the title whilst being top all, yes all season to boot! So we sell Cech when he categorically states to Arse (& board) that if you take Cech then I want one of your squad (to weaken it) our mob let Cech go without José getting a return, so this is the state of things to come! Nothing like last season or the days of Kenyon where a list of targets were done & dusted before the season began?! Oh but let's just blame José..... Some of you are fucking embarrassing & & I can't just point the finger at the 'johnnycomelatelys' either cus there are some fans on here that have been supporting this club longer than I & that's what makes it even harder to comprehend. Get a fucking grip some of you ffs or fuck off & support a team that's more to your likening, Jose isn't this or Jose doesn't do that or he should of done this or that I hear you bleat, well nobody's fucking perfect & José is no angel but we'll bounce back this season & all the shit written on here will fade along with doctorgate, then the hypocrisy on here will be out in abundance! Support your fucking team through thick & thin & that includes you old timers.....
  13. If you want him sacked then that's your opinion fella, I hope next season we will see some new faces & a different approach but you simply cannot do it all the time, Utd scraped so many results by playing poorly but ending the season as champions, didn't see their fans moaning about their style then. Yeah I hope José & the board have learned some valuable lessons from the past.
  14. No, we need to talk about the players too, did they or did they not make mistakes too? 2 corners that put us out, one is poss fair enough but 2 in one game is completely unacceptable, they would of been drilled by José on who to mark what, where & when & I've said & now you have reiterated it, they have had a week to prepare & still played like amateurs. See my post to Fernando, I am not defending him, just stating a point that the blame is equally shared with the players.
  15. As I've already stated fella, I cannot defend him after last night, contrary to what the detractors feel I have criticized him previously this season, however some of the pessimism just goes overboard & tedious, just to keep digging the same old up all the time. He has made mistakes no question but you also have to look a little deeper than that, predominantly the players are simply not playing anywhere near their potential at present & you cannot lay all the blame at José door. A couple of years ago most were calling for stability, now we are heading that way we are now seeing posts wanting him out ffs! Then there this tiredness bollocks, well Costa, Matic, Fabregas have had spells on the sidelines & rest, the whole team was rested for a week & we were still poor so as you see fans want it both ways. The difference is expectation, many like myself see this as 3/4 year plan to create a side to compete with the very best playing offensively with intensity & high pressing game, unfortunately this all takes time. We were in a right mess before he arrived & whilst I don't agree with some of his decisions he has built a fairly decent squad which has kept us in the hunt for the PL & keeping inline with FFP, if we win the PL for me that will be a fantastic season, others want us to play swashbuckling football whilst winning everything & they want it now! I've always said that Jose & Roman set out objectives when José returned & I believe building 'his own squad' was the first which is still a work in progress, second was to start playing offensively like Roman wants & third is to slowly introduce players from our academy or something along those lines. Sure he is making mistakes & fans have a right to vent their spleen but I believe he will get it right & peeps just need to be a little more patient.
  16. Its every bit the players fault as it is the manager's. Was it José fault that lvan left Luiz or JT lost Silva for both goals? Then there was the occasion when Cavani hit the post, there were 5 of our players - yes 5, all but in a line & not one of them were marking him or anyone but thin air, that has absolutely nothing to do with management, that is just basic communication & organization, where they should be talking to each other, again nothing to do with José. I played the game for long enough & hated 2 things, one was losing, the other was playing poorly, you let yourself down, your team mates & lastly your manager down, these players have to cop the responsibility too, many of them are a pale shadow of a couple months ago. I've barely read a post on here that's defended José, most have been honest to admit that he made mistakes last night & like the players he needs a good shake up! I do agree though it wasn't the fact we got knocked that bothered me, it was more so the performance that lacked everything that we have grown to expect from his teams, no hunger or desire, lacked energy, fight, very poor communication, couldn't string 2 passes together & where's that will to win gone? Bar Courtois & Hazard, the rest of the players should be embarrassed after that shambolic excuse for a performance, however I'm hoping it will give them the wake up call they need to get us over the PL line, starting with Southampton on Sunday.
  17. Where do you start? PSG certainly deserved to go through, we can have no complaints bar some poor refereeing over both legs & I'm not talking about just tonight, Hazard was kicked out of the game in both legs & how that Verazzi or whatever his dirty cheating name is stayed on the pitch in both legs is beyond a joke. They are no mugs & it has slipped all but everybody's attention that have spent a shitload, eventually its going to click & I wouldn't be at all surprised if they provided more shocks in the competition & good luck to them. So now for us, José has everything coming to him after tonight, you simply cannot defend the indefensible, I am like most lost for words after that abomination, I'm shocked by everything I've witnessed tonight, he has to shoulder & have massive shoulders to carry a large portion of responsibility. That said, it took me nearly 6 pages to read someone on here hit the nail on head, as ffs to concede one goal from a corner is poor but 2 is just unbelievable & that ain't José fault, good grief I've seen better defending on a Sunday league game! Not sure where the rest of our players minds were but only Hazard & Courtois gave any credit, so that leaves 9+ players with a lot to think about.... I'm actually not too disappointed about going out, more so about the shockingly poor performance & let's face it, how many of you really thought we were good enough to win it? It's all about expectation, mine was to win perhaps a Cup & a decent finish in PL, however being 5 points clear & a game in hand you would expect us to finish it & I would be ecstatic with that before tonight, problem being is if it was our early season form then I would say the league is over - no question but we have been struggling for over 2 months & that's worrying. Though no more distractions & a severe boot up the arse for all concerned we can still have a great season whilst lessons have to be learned no doubt.
  18. It's highly unlikely Jose will throw him in now that Matic has unjustly got a ban but I've said before this kid is ready, he has impressed me immensely every time I've seen him play. It'll prob come back to bite me on the arse but I hope he gets the nod on Sunday.
  19. Routledge rightly got his red rescinded, Vertonghen gets fuck all & can play in the the cup final, yet Matic gets a 2 game ban for nearly having his leg broken/career over - fucking priceless! I've heard Keith Hackett & today Richard keys state that was the most inept refereeing performance in the PL era.....Graham Poll & Mark Halsey both stated that Matic reaction was not violent but aggressive so therefore the punishment should warrant a yellow only especially after the nature of the event, Poll stated that cus Matic pushed below the neckline it doesn't warrant a red card....meanwhile Wankinson gets to be fourth official on Sunday then given a PL match the week after, Halsey made the very same error with the Mcmanaman case & admitted he hadn't seen the incident cus a player blocked his view (perfectly understandable) his punishment.....he got stood down for 6 weeks..... There has been widespread condemnation of the tackle & Wankinson's performance yet the Fuck All had the chance to save the microscope bit of credibility they had left......again however, we get fucked over by their incompetence, reducing the ban to 2 games is a sympathetic way of laughing at us, Matic must be heartbroken, in a nutshell they are saying that its fine to break another players leg & end a players career but you can't push anyone cus that's excessive, great example to kids watching & trying to learn the right way to play the game..... Whilst I've never gone with the conspiracy theories, this whole episode has certainly turned my head & added food for thought, I think this will do the same for neutrals from now til the end of the season - not that it will benefit us in anyway but people are going to be having second thoughts now. I spent sometime at Southampton's academy when my young relative was there for 6 years, he wasn't pulling up tree's but was def going in the right direction, til he reached 14, then a certain Steve Greaves was his coach for 2 years & without going into everything that I experienced, he was fucking useless, so to my horror I read he was Wankinson's assessor on Sat, says it all that he agreed with the worst refereeing performance in the Pl era, the FA are already a laughing stock but trust me its going to get a whole lot worse, especially with clowns like Greaves given an assessors role but why am I not surprised!
  20. Careful Barbara, You're getting too 'rational'!!! You nailed it again but you're a much better person than I, as I would add a little sarcasm just to be mischievous! There's irony in this as the so called pro José camp do criticize him, however its just not incessant or the same old droning bollocks after a poor result/performance. I have no problem with criticism, afterall we all see things differently & to be fair there are some careful constructive posts that are on the money, unfortunately they get deluged by the plethora of the same old. Here we are again today with José doing his utmost to back his club & 'stick it up em' they say you don't appreciate something good/great til its gone, well we can all go back to the Spanish waiter or AVB days, or as Tomo put it, the place goes in overdrive when we play shit, draw or lose but its like a morgue in here when we play well.
  21. The recent world of football have been asking for players to be more honest to help referees.... Well here we are with a player that doesn't roll around for 20 fucking yards over not just a career ending tackle but potential health implications that follow it (other players have sued for less?!) So where's the protection from the official that needs help? Oh yeah, he sends off a player for a push, yes a push ffs, & the aggressor that ironically got away with 2 other nasty challenges gets away scot fucking free - no booking for all those indiscretions, he then gets the corner that leads to their winner & I've read posts that we shouldn't be blaming the ref, ffs its mindblowing, the very same as the statement that Matic shouldn't of reacted, good grief get off your lap tops & start playing the game, when you get one those come on here & tell everybody how you played the Saint that is holier than thou & didn't react in any way, look at what all the former pro's are saying ffs! I actually think Matic will get it rescinded, if the Fuck All (f.a) can make a case for Wayne Routledge & rightly so, they must be seen to be showing consistency & the very same with Barnes who should get banned for 3 games the same as Diego got, though those challenges should be a dozen game ban, minimum. Yes before I get hit I know were Chelsea but let's see if the Fuck All can actually get it right for a change.
  22. Excuse! Your something else, I've already kin well told you to read what I've already stated, there are some games I will not defend but PSG was more than understandable, hard kin work or what! Tell you what mate why don't you ring José & ask him to bend over & sweep the the whole of the stadium with a broom up his arse & make sure he gives you the 6 winning lottery numbers at the same time, miracle worker is our José!!!
  23. No being tired is in an excuse being made by many for players that have been played consecutively who are performing poorly because of it yet tell that to Hazard?! Lack of fitness is completely different, just look at Costa and Fabregas against PSG to see how far off the pace they were because they haven't been training or playing recently. Difference is, I do not expect us to win the CL, we are still very much a work in progress & for me if we win the PL its a massive bonus this season. We're not far away & once José has invested in 2 or 3 more players I think you will see a different mentality, not wholesale but more offensive but then someone will then start griping at that!
  24. Who said our players are tired? If you care to do some reading, I referenced our players hadn't trained therefore not 100% fit & if you read a little deeper I also stated that I do not buy into the bollocks of players being tired! I think I said 'I can understand & sympathise' with fans frustration it did I not?! But i also detest the spoilt brat mentality which is rife on here, last time I looked we are 7 points clear in the PL, a cup final & a good chance of making the quarter finals - again if the CL, yet your harping on about playing defensive & creating chances! Well yeah in an ideal world we can do that we can also go back to being out of the CL places, inconsistent results & prob fined by Fifa for spending shit loads on average players. Rome wasn't built in a day mate, I suggest you have some patience.
  25. No I understood & yes we could of been a little more adventurous (allowing are flair players to negate some defensive responsibilities for a short period) however IMHO I think there were some fundamental reasons why José stuck rather than gambled. The lack of training/fitness to key players must not be overlooked as has the form of most of the squad, we haven't played well bar Swansea for over 2 months, so going to a very tough opponent in their own ground there has to be some degree of caution. I can understand fans frustration because this tactic has been accumulative over recent weeks & I can sympathise, however as stated I think on this occasion jose had some genuine reasons and that's why I get vexed with the spoilt brat mentality that rears its ugly head on here. I do have a problem with the Hazard treatment though, once the ref starts doing the job he is supposed to then some yellows followed by poss reds would of ensued because their players would think twice after they had been booked about fouling Hazard, Blanc knew by stopping him they could take a result to London, his plan worked cus the official was so kin well lenient, the persistent fouls meant Hazard could not get into the game. I'm pretty sure José will make some reference about protection for Hazard come the PC in a few weeks time. I think we were lucky & poor at the same time but you also have to expect the home team to take the initiative so we have to give them credit, nonetheless we still got a great result. Seems some are also getting confused about the Bayern perfomance/result? Well we actually scored - enough said!
