I was disappointed Sturridge wasn't getting any run in the league, but thank god for the loan deal. Carlo can ignore 5 goals in a reserve match, he can ignore goals against weak opposition in the Carling and FA cups, but he can't ignore his stint at Bolton. So once Sturridge is back, we know he's going to be a core part of the team, and if he still isn't then there really is no excuse left for Carlo, and Sturridge will be within his right to ask for a transfer. So basically, this loan deal makes or breaks Sturridge's future with Chelsea, which is good for fans and for him, cause it just frustrates us and surely him at the lack of confidence his manager has in him.

I think I can say this in full confidence that we will not sell Josh. Probably won't sell Aanholt and Sturridge either because they seem capable enough to step into Premier League right away. Kakuta depends on if he's able to finally gain some confidence and not look so timid when he's given a chance. Bruma maybe cause well he's well down the pecking order and he hasn't impressed at all during his appearances. About Conor, we don't know much about where the team stands with him.

Really hope Torres doesn't get taken off, providing great movement and is trying to get into great positions, just lacking that confidence to finish. Gotta keep our faith in him, if we take him off, that will only hurt his confidence further.

Why do you think that? Both have very good off-ball movement and will be a nightmare to cover for opposing defences. Of course we need a good mid you can supply them with good balls, but as a strike partnership it could definitely work. Right now, Drogba and Anelka both dont move much without the ball, Drogba plays with his back to the goal, and Anelka drops deep to pick up the ball, neither of them look to get behind opposing centre backs on a consistent basis.

Great showing by Sturridge so far, even dropping deep at times to pick up the ball and then running at defenders. Winning free kicks in dangerous places and always making great runs.

At this point, I'd be happy we clinch a top 4 finish, with our form, I'm scared we end up 5th, if that happens, my lord, I would kill myself.

Horrible performance, but I have already let it go, too many horrible performances this year, before I used to be pissed but now I'll die if I did that. Think we deserved a draw at least though, shoulda never conceded that goal. Luiz looked very good, he's in the starting XI for me already, no doubt about it. Bosingwa is getting back to form, should have kept him at RB and just replaced Ivan with Luiz. Essien finally had a good game after a long time, definitely our best player today. Torres looked nervous, very nervous, can't be down on this signing already. Anelka isn't that bad in that position, did play a great through ball to Malouda, probably our best attacking move all game. Subpar performance from Lampard, expected better, much better. Mikel started the game very bad, yellow card and gave away passes. Drogba, well, he needs to sit on the bench now, I rather start Torres-Kalou up front, at least they MOVE!!

Yeah people are underestimating how much this will help Drogba, Drogba always had pretty much both CBs man marking him every game, imagine now. 1 on 1 coverage for both Torres and Drogba, good luck with that. Then you still got to worry about Anelka, nightmare for defenders.
