It's amazing how much effect he had. Such an underrated player, you have had players with unbelievable concentration and work rate, defensive type players. They've never been considered as one of the best ever or anything, not even called up on footballer of the year have they?. You get these crazy players who don't switch off and make a huge difference in the team, so consistent etc. But instead players with the flair and attacking football get the highlights, cause goals are footballs biggest highlight. And that's what creates the goals, unfortunately what prevents the goals never gets the recognition it deserves.

We can't keep playing cole constantly till he gets to like 33 either. Because Bertrand i think will be like 25 by then... and it's best to start giving him games now. Infact it's kind of his last chance where he's in his remaining potential years (well so scientists say), i mean you could say that to Scott Parker, he would just laugh in your face.

But you can still have a striker partnership if you play a winger/striker type player on the right who comes in and helps the striker rather than playing out wide. I mean team sheet and line up isn't exactly team sheet and line up is it. I don't know what we are going to do with Mata, either we should stick him on the left in the future or what, if that's the case then i would love a natural winger on the right, because we really need that in the club. Anyone ever thought about playing Mata in midfield in a 4-3-3?. I would love to see this next season, just see how it would work Mata-Ramires Tiote Ramires doing a much bigger job more work rate and staying back more, i think he does well like that. Ramires seems to usually put that solid performance in but never too special. Good player to have, but even better when you've got better players with him. I've always said Ramires would play much better with better players around him, i think he would actually stand out more than having shit ones around him. Then maybe above that, winger on the left or right (doesn't really matter), then a inside forward on the left or right, to maybe form a partnership with the forward and help out. Then obviously the forward upfront. Give Mata creative freedom he could cause damage, but he can also leave damage behind as he goes more forward. That's why i think Tiote and Ramires could do a good job, especially Tiote covering, as he does at newcastle protecting the back four at all costs. Yep i've went off topic sorta, but that always happens when i've got more to say lol.

Essien is possibly my favourite Chelsea player of all time, loved him from day one. I haven't watched the game yet, and it sounds like he had a terrible performance. Well even i have to say he needs to go in the summer. As for the conspiracy, i very much doubt it, Essien just doesn't seem that sort of guy, he's always been cool especially with that smile, and perhaps he's just not bitter. If it was ever true and Essien did really hate Chelsea, well i would never have him in my avatar ever again. And that's strong since i would never remove Essien from my avatar!.

I'm good with ideas, and analysing a game to it's best of strength, but unfortunately my grammar lets me down. Cech Ivanovic-Cahill-Luiz-Bertrand Ramires-Essien Sturridge-Meireles-Malouda Drogba Yes, yes i know Meireles in centre, but there's no one else we are out of options, and i think we need ramires more deeper. Meireles is terrible when it comes to direct play, he wont be able to pass the ball etc, where Ramires can take on players use his pace etc. Meireles can threaten if he's given the freedom, and he has a nice attack on him, may aswell play him there. Mata needs a rest, rest him for this one. Malouda will no doubt play shite but we have no one else, and i also want to rest Torres. Time like this when Benayoun would of came in handy.

We have to remember that teams like Benfica are better than Wigan, and just go out there and beat them. Points are still important, we might be out of top 4 contention, but we mayaswell fight with Newcastle and etc for 5th.
