At this time of his career, he should play as much as he can, rather then warming our bench. He'll hardly get a chance with Torres, Drogba and Sturridge battling for a place themselves already. Also, add to this Lukaku who we are close to sign from what I see.

Just from the mere thing that he's available to buy and that he is(was) a world class player shouldn't mean we must buy him...huge wages, bad form, injure prone and 29. I believe we've got enough of this kind of players...

Look, Benitez, Hidink, Ferguson, Wenger, Mourinho...they are all human beings that like football and know a lot of it. They try to do their best for their team and usually don't care for what people think. We hate Ferguson, but what he archived with United is really amazing and I respect him. I wouldn't like Benitez being our manager either, but if he came I would support him. Having fans behind him would help him a lot and would bring us better results.
