I don't think you need to worry about that. Club certainly won't make a stupid mistake just before the FFP rules approach and there are some experts working on that case. As it was said, the wage bill will be reduced by departing players. Gourlay has also said that the club won't be dragged into bartering and that we will drop out if other clubs try to press us. I'm also surprised though with transfer fees mentioned...let's wait and see what really happens.

Well clubs can't just approach your player and offer him a contract or anything. They need permission from Porto otherwise it can be punished a.k.a. tapping up. They way it works is that you first submit your offer to a club and if they accept it then you have their permission to talk to the player. Dunno about reports, because there is loads of them around, and half are horseshit. Just have some patience, but I do believe we will sign Hulkie

Yeah, but you can't agree personal terms with a player unless his club accepts your offer for him so it means we've agreed about the fee with Porto.

That would've been brilliant, and also something I would try. Not sure about VdW, but he is one of the best available RBs in the Europe atm. Hulk and Hazard together in 1 team...well sky would have to put 18+ when they broadcast Chelsea
