I think the board was blinded by the Champions League, which is why the prized him away from the San Siro. It's the only logical reason why he was scouted. I don't like talking about his history a lot - there have been numerous arguments on here about that - but it does give us a very clear insight into why he was selected to take over from Hiddink.

Don't agree with that at all. Carlo was a trophy-coach. So he was brought in so we could lift titles in the short run, that's why we only put him on a 3-year contract. His track record with youth players was shocking and so we cannot call him long-term.

Yeah agree to that. The club needs to wait on a new manager before making such decisions to be honest. If he decides we play the same style under Mourinho, Hiddink & Ancelotti then yes to Lukaku as they all used Drogba as the big, strong, centre forward target man. However a new manager could prefer an - on the ground game - when he'd prefer sleeky attackers who'll run at defenders and dribble around to score. I.e. Neymar & Aguero & co. If the club make transfers before a new manager is appointed, it'll say a lot about how things are run at the club

106 pages? Holy cow Anyway, I think people are over the shock of it now. What's done is done, while we thank Carlo for what he did last season it is time to move on and back the next manager & hope he'll stay longer than Carlo, but more importantly, that he's adequate for the job KTF all

I think we've missed a real chance not signing Pirlo on a free. The man is a genius of the game. A great creative player who would settle for a squad role. Though I guess now Ancelotti's gone, there was no incentive.
