  1. Bclifford47 billy clifford Nice surprise from #joshmceachran to pop round n see us by the looks of things injury isn't to serious 40 seconds ago
  2. You couldn't even imagine.. Went through all the cycles.. Hearing stories how "deal is imminent" to "work permit being organised" to "Real Madrid close to signing" ect.
  3. Good to see him in a bit of action. No surprises to see him with Bosingwa..
  4. Repetitive isn't it? We can only hope he's sold soon so we can forget the Kalou threads.. (Idealistic world, much?)
  5. One day, we won't have to use a to say that
  6. I'd agree. However, that leaves Malouda to waste space/potential on the left wing. In that case, I'd rather have Mata there and watch Lampard at least try.
  7. Agreed with all of this. We can only hope Sturridge will meet the hype around him, though I fear we've come to over-expect from him. Which could be worry in terms of fan backlash here.
  8. Oh don't worry. When Gerrard comes back it'll be "Gerrard performs better for England alongside Wilshere"
  9. Agreed. If the tempo does pick up, in the next few games, we will see optimism return.
  10. I'm with those who are saying Terry's still got some years ahead of him. Maybe it's because I've got blue-tinted glasses on, or something, but I just don't think Terry's slowing down by any means. He's consistently been making vital tackles, organised our defensive line and defended to the death. He might have slowed in terms of his pace, but that's never been a strong point of his anyway and he's actually adapted to that. He's still a great threat from the air, and doesn't get out-muscled by strikers. Now I hate to over-exaggerate our youth talent. But because of the 2-3 years I feel Terry can still give us, I reckon Nathan Chalobah (who'd be around 19/20 by then) would be an idea replacement. Of course we'd buy someone else too, to keep up the competition, but Chalobah will certainly be a candidate. Gary Cahill's time is now and that's why, maybe, it wouldn't be right for us to target him. Like David said, Spurs can offer him a first team role. With King still always injured, Dawson being prone & Gallas/Kaboul being average at best, he's almost guaranteed to play 20+ games over a season.
  11. I hear Meireles is an avid follower of the "pass-and-move" play. Miracles do happen.
  12. We'll have an edge on offering him better wages, that's for sure.
  13. Good point. Then again, remember, there will be a bidding war between ourselves, Tottenham & perhaps Arsenal.
  14. Idealistic. But unrealistic. Will cost around £15m-£20million.
  15. Love the optimism. But I predict we'll spend quite a bit between now and then on new players.. Maybe 5/11 of those you named will make it.
  16. Ferguson: Chelsea a "big threat" http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/sep/04/sir-alex-ferguson-chelsea-manchester-united Mind games.
  17. Meireles to fill a void left by Ballack http://onefootinthegame.com/2011/09/04/new-role-for-raul-from-liverpool-to-chelsea/
  18. Walcott backs Lampard Good to see the kid's not as dim as he looks.
  19. Ah. Meh, he's a young footballer. They go through celeb women quicker than Ashley Cole loses Cheryl
  20. It's clear he doesn't trust the wide men. Thankfully he's yet to play a full game with Sturridge & Mata, so hopefully they'll form a good trio. Because clearly Torres, Malouda & Anelka/Kalou does not work.
