  1. Hahaha the excuses would already be in place BlueLion.. They'd call him McClaren mk II.
  2. In the beginning of his Chelsea career he demonstrated a lot more attacking potential than Mikel ever will (due to his attacking abilities being dissolved by Mourinho & co.). Now he's a bit more defensive. Who knows why, orders from André or he doesn't have room to get forward.
  3. Kostas does make a valid point though. It's not that we're so worse off from last season, okay we did have way more dodgier results, but we have maintained consistency with league points and such. The problem has been the strength of our rivals, City & Tottenham especially. Where Chelsea has failed to build in the summer, we've conceded certain advantages & it's not easy with a new playing-system trying to be instilled.
  4. It's true, and I'm not suggesting this is all in stone.. But it would be hard to ignore a certain attitude emerging from the boy. He looks happy to play, though, which is always good to see but it's clear as day the wing position isn't one he can fulfil. He can't cut-back/cross or play passes in the box, while he has still time to perfect these traits, it is worrying to think he may keep these thoughts alive in his mind.
  5. He's not a finished article, yeah I'll agree he's been less noticeable of late, but it's hard to ignore the tremendous impact he had in the beginning. I think it's wild to suggest Mikel should be playing there (in most games) because I think Mikel has uses at other times. Oriol should be our starting DM, I don't understand why Raul starts alongside Essien instead of Romeu.
  6. I concur with your points, but some of them are exactly why I make the suggestion of bringing in Malouda to keep Mata central. As you said, Mata's tracking back isn't what it could be, so therefore it makes sense to ease him of that responsibility which is where I think Malouda comes in use. It's no secret his attacking abilities are dire, but he gives Cole a great deal of support when we're defending he did it with Bosingwa v. United. Like you said, again, it's the fact he drifts from that wing (when he's deployed there in a sense) into the middle which does create a type of problem on that wing. Now I wouldn't vouch for Malouda in an attacking sense, but in the case of using the three of Malouda - Mata - Sturridge means Mata can drift as much as he wants and we know someone will be covering that left-flank. It somewhat makes sense why André targeted Perreira in June.
  7. TheChels have done an excellent comparison over the last decade of Chelsea FC Limited & Chelsea PLC's profit/loss, turnover & wages. http://www.thechels..../club/finances/
  8. Newcastle has probably been his best game this season. There were some tales he disappears in big games, but he's effectively proved that wrong with strong performances v. City & United. He must be kept in the middle though, even if it means playing Malouda on the left. It's simply essential afaic
  9. Apparently his potential isn't that great according to some* *who've seen him play the grand total of 2x v. Chelsea
  10. LMAO!! Oh my. You just made my day LOL!
  11. Robben, Ribery, Shaqiri.. Talk about dedicated wingers.
  12. I'm so glad we're not the 'golden generation' any more..
  13. We are frivolous to their efforts. They still take down many streaming/downloading websites weekly, but they don't understand we cannot be stopped in our efforts. Like TX posted in the BTJunkie thread 'Now I'll have to spend 3 more seconds looking for another website' The truthfulness to this of this quote is on point.
  14. Better Bayern than United/City/Liverpool!
  15. I didn't know that. I don't even think the England manager has to be 'English'. He should simply have an understanding of the English game, and be frequent in English. This whole 'England manager should be English' is nonsense.
  16. On the note of the support though; Liverpool are looking more, and more, embarrassing as each week goes on. Kenny Dalglish is doing more harm than good for Liverpool, his post-match interview after this game were he berated the SSN pundits for complimenting Carroll said it all! I think even some of the media are starting to recognise this arrogance too. Whereas before he was 'King Kenny' and all, even they grow frustrated of his 'us against the world' reactions to the simplest of questions.
  17. While it was disgusting I do maintain that most players, if not all, would do the same thing if it meant such importance... Think about if it were a Champions League final and we were 1-0 up. If Terry decided to handle it, they missed a pen & we won, I wouldn't cry (except from joy perhaps). That's just me though.
  18. I don't like Crapello as a manager, but as a man of principles I do rate his decision. Harry Redknapp is an awful manager, it sickens me how deluded this country is, it seems any dick who's English is a brilliant manager. FACT, Brendan Rogers is the best English manager around. I'd even rather have Steve Keane over 'Arry. England are fuck regardless, but Harry is not the man to lead.. Fuck sake.
  19. Yeah, but you just know he won't activate it.. He'll have a meeting with the FA and all will be right as rain, as usual.
