  1. Too many prospects have failed to live upto the hype.. I have too many hopes on stoch.. Esk is partly to be blamed if he doesn't make the cut i'll give up on the youth...
  2. More of it to follow when these so called ghosts will outsing Almunia's fans at the Emirates, The Modern Library...
  3. Honestly Greg, I wonder how you've through all these years of football related stress, the Ups and downs you've seen at the bridge far outweigh most of ours put together lol.. Your astute sense of humour must come in handy.. Guss is the man.. anyways G, here's the text version of Al Pacino's talk..
  4. My hands are ice cold and shaking in this 35 deg Celcius temperature.. I kid you not.. Come On Chelsea.. Just to get you all pumped up a bit..
  5. The Referee Tom Henning Øvrebø (born 26 June 1966 in Oslo, Norway) is a Norwegian football referee. He works as a psychologist outside of football.[1] Øvrebø has refereed 205 matches in the Norwegian Premier League since his debut on September 20, 1992. In 1994 he became an authorised FIFA referee, and has refereed many matches in the UEFA Cup and UEFA Champions League. He won the Kniksen award as referee of the year in the Norwegian Premier League for 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2006. He refereed the cup finals in Norway in 1999 (Rosenborg - Brann) and 2006 (Fredrikstad - Sandefjord). He was chosen to referee at Euro 2008 - his first major tournament and the first time he was chosen over fellow countryman and colleague Terje Hauge. He refereed the Germany - Poland match on the opening day of Group B. He refereed the Italy - Romania match which resulted in a 1-1 draw. The Italian Football Federation later demanded an apology from UEFA after Luca Toni’s goal was incorrectly ruled out for offside in the Italy - Romania match that Øvrebø refereed.[2] There was also criticism of the official for a penalty shot given to Romania and a yellow card to Daniele De Rossi at the ending moments of the game. Afterwards, Øvrebø admitted he had made a mistake during the game.[3] Øvrebø was not assigned any more matches to referee at Euro 2008.[4] He was preselected as a referee for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.[5] Referee Stats for 2008-09
  6. there are always two sides to a story.. and there will always be people believing in one on both sides...
  7. I think Abidal might just start CB ad sylvinho at left back.. since Pep might be second guessing we won't play with a right winger again and also caceres is short of games...
  8. With Malouda on top form I don't think we'll be ready to shell out 15mill for Zhirkov now..
  9. Wow i misspelled risk twice.. I think Quaresma and Mancienne are a given.. may be Stoch and Di Santo as subs..
  10. I wish i could share the same confidence, but I understand where you're coming from i'd rather isk finishing fourth than rick getting knocked out in the Champions league..
  11. Ahhh.. that day... was full of tears as gay as it sounds...
  12. I still think come end of season one of Riccy, Alex and Ivanovic will leave.. Mancienne will get his chance next season.. may be not a full first team regular but more than he's got this season.. I think what you're forgetting esk is, Mikel is a midfielder and Mancienne a defender.. A striker is judged on how many times he gets it right, a defender on how many times he gets it wrong.. As a DM mikel could get away with a few things, for all his yellows and reds.. he stayed on in the team.. as he had people like Terry and Carvalho to cover up for his mistakes.. if mancienne will be scrutinized far more seriously..
  13. though i'd want the team you put out, but i think this will probably be the more likely starting line up.. 6 points isn't really comforting.. as the following weekend after the barca clash we play arsenal away with a days less rest.. IF we happen to lose that then it would put huge pressure for the last game of the season, which god willing will be just before the two finals...
  14. Guus is gonna be busy till November.. what do we have until then, league, carling cup and Champions league group stages.. I'm sure even if we were to give Guus a week off before all the international breaks.. Ray Wilkins could take care of the team.. God willing if we do score the cup double the next manager will be in for a lot of expectations.. which lead to undue pressure.. New squad members new team, new ideas but the manager can't really afford to seem like we are going to have a season where we finish fourth and trophyless.. else he goes scolari way.. which is bad.. financially as well as with regards to clubs stability...
  15. Cech man of the match.. Iniesta is one brilliant player..

  17. I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of the blues fails, when we forsake our teammates and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of woes and shattered dreams, when the age of blues comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this great team, I bid you "stand, Men of the Bridge!" Lord of the rings
  18. He started off with orange shorts but then he changed it to black as he said he couldn't realise where his legs were..
  19. Spot fucking On Esk... A single goal deficit would do, provided we score.. but i'll put my money on a high scoring draw..
  20. Ernesto Bronzetti: Inter & Chelsea Plan Ricardo Quaresma-Deco Swap Deal The transfer guru believes that the Portuguese stars could trade places this summer. Inter brought in winger Ricardo Quaresma from Porto on transfer deadline day last summer for a fee of almost €19 million, but the 25-year-old failed to adapt to Serie A and the Nerazzurri decided to loan him out to English club Chelsea during the January transfer window. And renowned transfer market consultant Ernesto Bronzetti has now revealed that Quaresma could make his move to London permanent in the summer. It is suggested that Inter could use him as bait to land fellow Portuguese star Deco. Meanwhile, Bronzetti insists that Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic will stay put. “Ibrahimovic will remain at Inter because no-one can guarantee him €12m per season, however, Deco could land in Milan in a swap deal for Quaresma,” Bronzetti told AGR. “As for the rest of Europe, several world-class players will pack their bags. [Franck] Ribery will leave Bayern Munich to join either Real Madrid or Chelsea, while either [Cesc] Fabregas or Xabi Alonso will move to los Merengues.” Quaresma has made just 13 appearances for Inter, netting a single goal. link
  21. Bosingwa is faster up and down.. Remember Rafa deploying Arbeloa at LB to counter messi and how good that worked??
  22. The article says we conceeded 4 at home to bolton.. just pointing out
  23. Can/Want to see Kalou, Quaresma, Mikel and a few other non-regulars starting..
  24. No excuse for dropping points tonight.. come on Chelsea..
  25. Welcome mate.. well arsenal still have to play the top 3 who are still vying for the premiership, that could mean 9 points... though personally i'd prefer arsenal beating pool and united and losing to us...
