Typical. I found myself surprised Mendy didn't save it, that's a change from what I was surprised with not a long time ago, lol
-
We're lucky, but I take it

Kante has recovered to full beast mode recently, love to see it.
-
Yeah, just seen a clip of it. That tackle was way worse than what he did and obvious straight red imho, so if that kid left unwarned it's ridiculous. Media making headlines like 'Drinkwater obliterates 15-year old' now are BS and just unfair. Never thought I'd say it, but I 100% stand behind Drinkwater here. And of course, Tottenham school of football visible even in kids match – make a two-footed, criminal tackle and then pretend to be the victim, holding wrong leg, ugh.

Apparently he works on his mental issues as mentioned on previous page and I really pity him due to how his career fell off the cliff in Chelsea, but I suppose that while he'd probably get all the best kind of support from the club, any substance abuse that interferes with football would be used as a reason to terminate his contract the very first second it happened. He, as a business asset is a huge trouble for the club so I doubt they keep dumping millions of pounds on him if they are not absolutely forced to but rather look for any way to move him without even bigger loss.

Actually, what's up with them? They looked like safe top 8-10 team this year, overhyped by some due to history, but still. Last year they had trouble with magicans like Mustafi, but I'm not buying that they regressed due to Luiz & Willian. Not registering their highest paid players in league looks like poor board management. Despite shameful results, I'm yet to hear someone yelling Artreta Out, when everyone is into sacking Ole, so what is it? Lack of individual talent in whole 20-men squad? Poor board with unexperienced yet liked manager?

Thumbs up for VAR, but it wasn't a jersey-thin offside, he was at least step-length in front, so where the hell refs were? Would it just slip through if there was no var?
-
Hope Mendy is not having a Karius-type effects of early knock, as he's just tripping
-
Dunno if it's Ancelotti's masterclass, but we look completely powerless. We need a radical change of approach soon.
-
Mount unlucky, but it's pretty much miss on open goal. It's happening again, skills are there, but minds not so much.
-
So what, next match we see Cech re-debut in PL, or do we still have Blackman around?
-
It's a downside of his size I guess, but I also wonder what is a difference in build between him and Cech, who was quite good with pens and also big guy.
-
Trailer to our nightmare. Hope he's ok.
-
Is Tomori pretty much gone (on loan, I hope) from the team, or he is having some injury that phased him out completely? Miss seeing him, deffo not ready product, but promising for sure
-
So rather unexpected events. I wonder how safe Conte's position is, especially given his clash with the board not a long time ago…
-
Wasn't it like he had a really good season in Palace and pretty much disappeared, when moved to united? I recall he was called a viable alternative to TAA for a moment.
-
I'd feel more relaxed if Kepa focused his hands action on, like, goalkeeping, instead of waving for the offside when 1 vs 1
-
Please see my post above – most probably he didn't and even more probably he didn't mean to. It's a language matter. Plus I can understand that living in country of 99,9% single ethnicity makes you less sensitive to certain matters. That was highly unfortunate and unneeded of course, but still, they are just sport officials not diplomats. And I emphesise I'm 100% against any form of racism, but I'm also aware that racism is totally different thing in 'western' and 'eastern' world, and here they did clash.
-
What I recon he said "negru" which is just a word for black people in romanian and has a totally different weight than all the n-words in western world, but I guess they couldn't know it. Misunderstanding and perhaps a lack of sensitivity awareness? Yes. But racism? I'd say BS.
-
They will never fine any team for protest against racism / "racism" I guess, that would be moral and marketing suicide for UEFA.
-
Feeling strange that our very own Demba Ba ignited this PSG scandal, that quite probably can be a misunderstanding, lol
-
How? Isn't it Rb 12, PSG 10, Utd 9 then? Or You count 0 points from PSG?
-
100% agree. That's why Mendy is giving such a Cech vibe – he's not only solid doing his job, but he saves what looks lost & gone on regular basis.
-
So what, PSG match is over?
-
Yeah, Kepa was a spectator here, but it will be on him anyway. Meanwhile, total meltdown by defense with this goal
