I don't know what is more concerning. That is only had an xG of 22.5 as a CF for the team that finished third in Germany or that he underperformed it by 7.55.
-
Well it is Sport Witness, so it must be true.
-
Wages is partly it as he is hyped and 25 so expects his major contract. Other issues are that he didn't look great in the PL the last time he was here and that he has only performed in the Champo and Portuguese league (which is essentially like the Scottish league with sun and three teams instead of two.)

Great that we got CL, but equally it feels to me he got a bit lucky by riding the coat tails of our form from last season and then getting found out once he fully implemented his system (around late Nov.) For me, we could easily be 8-12th by Xmas next season unless we nail the players he wants in the Summer and we don't get any injuries. This said, I may be a little biased as I absolutely dispise possession football for possession footballs sake and tactically inflexible managers.

Selling Jackson isn't a good idea. Sure get another CF to start ahead of him but selling him for £30-£45m at this point is a massive risk. For me, his flaws aren't completely insurmountable - although I don't think he will ever be clinical - which means he could easily go somewhere and get 20+ goal season. If he does that he becomes £60-£90m (depending on how good the season is.) Jackson isn't really a problem, the problem is having him come in very raw and making him CF1.

Club cannot keep selling the hotels and women's team to itself. CL is vitally important with regard to avoiding accounting tricks. Additionally, reputationally too many years out of the CL means you become an Arsenal where 2nd becomes some sort of success.

Agree with all of this.
-
This has us written all over it. Hopefully Delap's clause allows us to go for him as at least he has more upside - although I say this fully well knowing Delap is another development player.
-
I am more thinking he shits the bed against Forest, we lose to Betis and find ourselves back in the conference next year.
-
Yeah, I can just imagine his first day in training Maresca saying something like: Right, you little fucker. At Chelsea the ball goes sideways and backwards. Any of that dribbling and forward play stuff will get your skinny arse dropped to the U18's. Understand that CL qualification is only an aspiration around here. As coach my aim is purely for Conference League glory.

Yeah, but this guy can't beat fucking Ipswich.
-
Hope this is true.
-
Maatsen only happened because we took Kellyman. Onana was their main target. After that they had no money.
-
Nope. Villa couldn't spend in the Summer. Only way he Conor went there is if they let Duran come the other way.
-
Say the same, anyone buying an attacker from the Bundesliga needs to either a) avoid. b) get an amazing deal. £60m+ for EH is madness, yeah he shows flashes but he is nowhere near consistent enough to be sure he can handle the PL.
-
This is the thing. A lot of people keep going 'Well if he gets top 5 and a trophy he has done well'. However, they seem to forget he sent us out against teams like Ipswich and Leicester where we struggled - I mean seriously 1 point from 6 against Ipswich and scrapping a 1-0 win against Leicester at home is awful. I am not ruling out us finishing 7th, losing to Betis, and being back in the Conference next season.

This has a draw written all over it.
-
Apprantly Leeds and Leverkusen are looking at him. See him being flipped for profit and Jorgensen being at Strasborg next season.
-
Reckon we draw and Villa beat Utd.
-
VO has all the hallmarks of a CF that will piss the fanbase off. Firstly, his overall stats aren't great, second he has his agent talk a lot via the press. Personally, I think he is a major no, no.
-
Villa beat Utd. You're on crack if you don't think Utd roll over for that one...just look at how they've been prior us and the bye they have Vs. Spurs midweek..
-
Bad result today. I personally cannot see us winning at Forest now with them something to play for. They will come out of the traps and put pressure on us and you know Maresca will have us playing for a draw until 65 mins and try and win it in the last 25 mins.
-
Whatever they're offering, take it You do realise Spurs bottle everything? Having Spurs in a final is akin to getting a bye.
-
Enzo will still tell the boys to pass sideways and backwards. Utd's CB's - whoever they are won't have to concern themselves too much with forward passes. Only concern they may have is that Sancho, the guy with 0% cross accuracy won't be playing.

Guiu doesn't really belong in this. Sure he is raw but he has been OK when he has played was showing signs he may kick on. Getting injured when he did was incredibly unfortunate. That said, he should've been brought as CF3 with development minutes in the youth teams and/or loaned. Not our CF2 - although I do think Nkunku was thought to be able to contribute there. However, you're right in that Neto is the only player that made sense and he should've been followed by more established players.
