I do not doubt that they heard it from people connected to Tuchel, but his people also made silly comments like that about owners that have let Tuchel go in the past.
If Pep left Man City for moral issues, he would be breaking his contract and Man City would not have to pay him. If Man City wanted to continue his contract to keep him from joining another PL team is possible.
With all this talk about Potter out, didn't they give him a rather long contract? There could be FFP complications to buying him out and bringing in a high profile manager that demands high wages.
