We won't need to be as reliant on him trying to consistently produce creatively now we have Fabregas. I think the Matic - Fabregas - Oscar trio is very well balanced in that regard.

No rush in buying a new CB this season IMO (as long as we sign a LB to free up that CB role for Ivan), should go in with the four of JT, Cahill, Ivan & Zouma and then perhaps buy a new CB next year. 3 proven CBs and one protege is more than enough.

Zouma I think. We didn't sign him for £12m to start loaning him out again IMO (well I hope not anyway). Looks like our new batch of CBs will be Terry, Cahill, Ivanovic and Zouma. I'm fine with that. 3 solid, experienced heads and one young understudy with huge potential. Sounds good.

I'd definitely get a professional to look at this, demanding £300 is excessive and over the top.

Slight interest is different from full on going for it though... If we never made any concrete offers how is he going to chose United over us? Like I said, United were the only team in for him in the end because they priced everyone out with a high transfer fee and high wages (100 or 160, we don't know but either is ridiculous) so I don't think you can say he chose United over us. He'd be stupid to turn that sort of money to "hope" that CFCs slight interest turns into a concrete one.

That's assuming he chose United over Chelsea because of money... We weren't ever that strongly in for him. United had no competition.

How often did you watch him?He's always been good going forward though, his biggest problem by far is defensively. He hasn't been tested thoroughly enough in the Eredivisie. There's a difference between looking quality against full backs in the Eredivisie and looking ok defensively against Eredivisie players and making that step up to a top division like the EPL. Honestly you shouldn't get too excited over him doing quite well in the Eredivisie. He wasn't even the best LB this year (that was Jetro Willems).

He hasn't been "outstanding". Hyperbole and a half. He's had a good season but good in the Eredivisie doesn't prove much at all.

It's goal.com but 160k is far too excessive... what the fuck is going on at Old Trafford. He's going to be paid more than Fabregas.
