For years I'm reading how they are biggest favorites in CL. Every year they got knocked out by inferior side. Monaco, Liverpool that fought for top4 that season, Spurs and Lyon that finished something like 6th in Ligue1. Still no semi final for Guardiola which Pellegrini did. So I wouldn't be surprised if they chock against Dortmund. But yeah, Bayern or PSG would destroy them.

But Bamford is 28 soon. And like you said depends on players. It would not be stupid and weird move at all. With this logic Jota would never come to Pool since they had established front 3? Mahrez in first season had less minutes than Sterling, Silva, Sane, other Silva and still came to City. We have similar examples in Chelsea. Demba Ba scored 16 PL goals in 11/12 season for Newcastle and 13 in half season 12/13 and came to Chelsea to be basically 3rd choice. Loic Remy 14 goals in 26 games for Newcastle in 13/14 season again came to Chelsea to be backup. Players want to play for top clubs. And I would feel the same way. If I am Zaha I would rather be on big6 rotation than best Palace player. Because it bring glamour, more money, CL... And it is not like those players wont play at all. From the bench you get 1500-2000 minutes per season. If you believe in your abilities you can grab your chance and maybe become a starter.

Yes, it's nice to have our 3 leaders and 30+ players coming rested for the crucial part of the season. Silva, Azpi and Jorginho. Mancini said last October that Jorginho is fundamental player for them so I'm sure this is just him resting Jorginho. Maybe he is predicting Chelsea's long run in CL and doesn't want to take any risks. Italy is opening EURO just 13 days after CL final. So now is the best chance for Jorgi to have some days off.
