I disagree. Haven't seen anything from them this season that I can indefinitely say "They would've influenced us"
I'm not ruling out that Chilwell will never be the same player we saw post ACL tear. Cucurella has been poor but i'm still not even convinced Chilwell was that good for us before his hamstring tear this season.
Chalobah has been better than Fofana this season and like Chilwell, who knows if he will ever be the same player before his leg break and now knee injury.
I'm also not going to pretend Broja is some established player when he is still very, very raw and couldn't even influence a match against Brentford.
Chiwell has never looked anywhere to form
Broja hasn't done a thing this season.
Mount has been poor for year.
Fofana has been no better than Chalobah
Sterling has been shit since Potter arrived.
Again, not buying it. An injury crises to me means players that can actually influence the team are missing. That is only Kante and James for me.
I’m really not buying into the injury crisis notion.
Bar James and Kante, our “starters” and depth options have been shit this season.
Seemingly the young lads are the only ones looking to make a difference.
Felix bloke is reporting that there was a verbal and written agreement that the Chelsea lawyers completely backed out on. They instead provided their own terms which went against the verbal/written agreement.
It's also no wonder why DiMarzio and tier 1 Argentina sources also claimed the deal was close to being done as both clubs had a verbal and written agreement.
Smh.
Boehly has single handedly done a tremendous job in making sure every top prospect in world football not want to join us in the future. He has had his pants pulled down by clubs all over Europe in less than 6 months. No player or club will want to work with this kind of behavior.
I think our midfield is still the biggest issue. I even advocated that last summer ahead of bringing in defenders.
Jorginho is such a limited player and even a fit Kovacic and Kante are still vastly limited.
It’s going to be Jorginho + Caicedo/Kovacic/Kante/Zakaria/Ruben. He adds onto the list of advanced ball winners/runners.
Enzo is the perfect profile of player we desperately need and we are low balling and likely walking away. Feel sick tbh.
Lol Brighton are going to bleed us dry for Caicedo. We’ve shown our hand. We’ve fucked our selves. As if they will even sell.
Even so, bringing in Caicedo means Jorginho continues to be a nailed on starter. Kill me now.
The worst thing about all of this, is that Enzo WANTS the move.
This isn’t like De Ligt, Dembele, or Raphinha where they were waiting for Bayern/Barcelona.
