Why I never even bothered watching. Football just disinteresting these days when even when we play well we lose, whereas our rivals play like shit and still win.
Knew Arsenal would scrape a win.
Think its less of a risk given wingers from Portugal tend to do well in the Premier League. Jota, Diaz, Neto, etc.
Looks like he has a 68m buy out clause. I'd also throw in Simon Banza as the ST depth as well.
Think its evident Poch needs two systems.
- One with a CAM/CF (carrying the ball + linking with attacker)
- One with 3 central midfielders. (433)
There is no way he can expect to go into the season with fit CAMs throughout the entirety, and the mark of a great manager is being flexible. What I saw yesterday was Poch panicking and throwing the kitchen sink after Mudryk at CAM experiment destroyed the momentum.
Mudryk and Madueke looking like utterly useless and needless buys. Legit would’ve been better off holding onto Ziyech and Pulisic the second half of last season. Sell them then get some actually quality goal scoring wingers.
Shit.
Shouldn't be the only reason. Mahrez left and Palmer came right in and under right coaching is thriving.
Its honestly ridiculous and I'm really fed up. All the optimism from preseason gone because Poch wants to follow in his predecessors with safe/pragmatic football which makes our attack completely obsolete.
Fuck off.
Also not sure how we as a football club can expect the likes of Mudryk and Madueke to improve without a run of matches.
Vinicius Jr went up a level because he constantly played, forming a relationship with Benzema and upped his confidence.
This really is a carbon copy of Tuchel's dead system.
Broja still not fit. We really are a Jackson injury away from making our easiest run in the season look incredibly difficult.
I think he's built up a lot of scar tissue on that hamstring. A decision needs to be made if surgery is required to clean it up or he needs to go through a vigorous rehabilitation program on mobility.
