  1. Hopefully if the Kaka & Villa rumours are finally put to bed we ( & the press ) can get down to the serious business of our real transfer targets rather than "Real's" transfer targets.
  2. I work as a Balloon pilot for Goreme Balloons
  3. Yes I must admit I feared the club was about to go into freefall just before Roman stepped in, without him the future looked bleak.
  4. I have a mixture of shirts mainly bought cheap rather than full price. Chelsea - "Samsung mobile" strip fakes bought out here in Turkey - Lampard (flimsy but realistic at a glance) & Drogba #15 ! which bears little resemblence to any strip Chelsea have ever worn, but was the best Urgup market had to offer at the time. Besiktas - Current "Cola Turka" horizontal Black/Silver (Genuine BJK gear) as they wore this strip to win the Championship this year it has to be my current favorite. England - last world cup shirt bought at 90% discount last winter in Plymouth for less than £5 Plymouth Argyle - bright orange away shirt bought for a tenner so I had something to wear for the Plymouth v Burnley match this March. Oddly the local turks love bright orange tops & think it is great leasureware.
  5. No player who is a big fish in a small pond likes the idea of moving to a bigger pond where all the fish are at least his size so I can understand his gripe, but as both Chelsea & Barcelona are packed with talent he aint going to get an automatic place in either, & we do at least have a Russian owner.
  6. OOps seems I forgot to put my real name in the above - its Jerry Cooke
  7. Trouble is if Kaka doesnt join Real Madrid, it will probably be because he has come to us instead, so we still dont get Pato.
  8. Realise though I've made a couple of posts I have never done the introduction bit. I live permenantly here in Urgup, Turkey with my wife who is also a Chelsea fan, am also into football in a big way out here supporting Besiktas (Fortis cup winners & Turkcell Superleague Champions this season), as well as teams in other leagues than the Premiership - see my profile for full details.
  9. My wife being a CSKA Moscow fan (as well as Chelsea of course) means I have watched a lot of their matches this season, I think he would make good addition if he comes here, but CSKA & their fans will really miss him if he leaves, which could well be why he is being reticent about any negotiation taking place at present.
  10. Seems to me Clarkie was (& had been for a longtime) the lynchpin, whoever we get will be sure to struggle without him. Alas I rather suspect his departure is too recent for it to be reversed at this stage.
  11. Yes, the match wasnt telivised here in Turkey either so thanks for the report.
  12. Whilst everyone seems to be blaming Real Madrid or Kenyon over the Robinho farce, I cant help but wonder whether our inability to complete the deal could be rooted more closely to international politics. The UKs tough stance on Russia over the Georgia crisis could well be making it difficult for Roman to invest in our club. He has in the past shown himself to be very astute at avoiding conflict with the powers that be in the Kremlin, so I personally wouldnt be surprised to see him step back from &/or disinvest from Chelsea if tensions continue to mount between the West & Russia over foreign policy.
