I really think we can beat them. If we start the game like we did against Stoke, very high tempo from the start, we can bring the three points back home. Malouda was fantastic in centre midfield and i would love to see him in that position again. He brings pace, power, hard work and skill to go past a man. He also showed good vision by bringing in long balls (like the ball too Drogba that led to the first goal). Would love to see this line-up ------------------------------------Cech---------------------------------- Ivanovic--------------Alex------------------Terry-----------------Cole ----------Lamps-------------Mikel/Ballack----------Louda------------ Cole/Kalou--------------------Drogba--------------------------Zhirkov You can get some great position switching on that left side, with Malouda going out wide and Zhirkov going in centre or Zhirkov staying behind at leftback and Cole staying forward every other time. Zhirkov was our best player in recent weeks (together with Louda of course). His attacking play was fantastic with his mazing dribbles and pace being a real pain for the opposition. I felt sorry for him being benched after the good job he had done when he was playing Come on Chels !

I agree with you that Ballack was great against Stoke. But dont forget that Stoke hardly attacked. I wouldnt complain if he would start but i dont know, i trust Ancelotti will make right choice (like he did against the rest of 'the top 4'.

Tough one but i would have to go for Kalou. I mean c'mon, the guy scored three times and earned us a penalty. Didier a close second for his fantastic performance. Also special mentions to Lamps and Louda.

Aguero Pato is too light for the Premier League if you ask me. And he is way too injury prone. It would be a waste of money, paying something like 50 mil pounds for an injury prone player. Also, he isnt having his best season. Aguero is small but strong and he isnt too injury prone. He too isnt having his best season but Atletico isnt having a good season. Very inconsistent. But he has proven in the past that he is a great player and has a bright future. And like we hate scouse said, he is more complete.

I have a question. Does anyone know if Hutch is gonna stick to that RB position ? It would be his best chance to get into the team and maybe a starting place in the future.

He is out for the season and world cup. Wont be seeing him soon on the pitch...

I have one final thing to say. Why is it that every time a game doesnt go our way, ancelotti takes out joe cole everytime. thats not fair to him at all. It isnt like Anelka some kind of super sub who helps us when things go bad. We need Cole's creativity in games like this. He is the kind of player that all of a sudden has a moment of brilliance. If i were in Ancelotti's shoes at that moment i would have put Ballack on the bench and put Anelka in so we have two strikers and two wingers. Use Deco as a DM playmaker and Lampard as a box to box CM. With Ivanovic staying at the back more so they wouldnt counter our asses like crazy. I really feel sorry for Joey

You're absolutely right. He isnt a winger at all and he would he just fail at Chelsea if he were to play there. Since Ancelotti finally realised that the 4-3-3 formation is the formation that suits us best, Aguero is not needed. He isnt '' Premier League striker '' material and i would be happy if Ancelotti decides not to buy him. His price tag is too high (60 mil euros) and his wage demands are crazy. We need a good young winger and playmaker.

I had such a good feeling about the game waking up today. But then i visited the club website and i found these words of Ancelotti: 'I try to put in the team the players with the most quality and Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka have a lot of quality and they have done very well together. 'The position of Anelka depends on his feeling about the game. He likes to move, sometimes in a left position, sometimes in a right one and sometimes behind. I never give him a precise position on the pitch. I want him to move how he wants to. I cant believe he is saying this because this could only mean that both of them will start today. Please let me be wrong or let this be some kind of way of trying to fool Fergie. Even a blind guy can see that Anelka does not perform well on the right wing position, :censored:. I agree with you there, it isnt one the top priorities. Getting a winger and a playmaker are two most important things. I would go for Ashley Young and Gourcuff or Van der Vaart or even Özil. I forgot all about him as he is also a great young playmaker who is very skillfull. Just seeing Deco play yesterday, made my point about the importance of a good playmaker. Too bad Deco is more injured than fit and his old age of course.

To be very honest, i woud like to see Chelsea play with the exact same line-up against Man Utd. Why ? With Drogba up front the team tends to play at a lower tempo and play the long ball way too much. They just rely on him too much especially in big games. That causes us to create too little chances. While with Anelka up front we play at higher tempo and more technical football with good link up play. As Anelka tends to roam more, you see a lot more position switching. Thats very confusing for the defences of the opposition and pulls defenders away from their position on the field. But the reason could also be that we never (this season) played with two real wingers with Drogba up front. Except in midweek when Joey came on in the second half. And we also ended up winning big, but the overall play wasnt as impressive as against Villa. That also just proves that what i have been saying for weeks is true (I wasnt the only one), we really need Joey. Our only real right winger and he was fantastic against Villa. So start Didier or Anelka in the striker role but dont play Anelka at right wing. Just praying Ancelotti sees it too.
