  1. Could someone change my name to TrueBlue ? Would be forever grateful
  2. Again It's official, our club absolutely sucks at developing and guiding talents for the first team. They just keep loaning them out without giving them a chance of showing what they got in a full season with the first team. I mean, would it really hurt to keep him in the squad ? Him being able to play multiple positions would really help us since our squad is really thin now (20 seniors!!!, we're screwed when a very possible injury wave strikes us). He could fill the Belleti role with ease. We're probably going to end up buying expensive and foreign replacements for our current first XI players...
  3. Anelka's showing his first half of the 09/10 season form again and that's great. He was much better versus WBA though. Hope he'll able to keep this form for the rest of the season. And feel bad for Borini and Van Aanholt. Should've been brought on after the 3-0 if you ask me.
  4. Indeed a great great pass. During pre-season i was already posting about Mikel being more adventurous with his passes and I hope he does it more regularly. He has a great long pass and he shouldn't be afraid to use it. It will help a lot when we face very defensive-minded opponents or when our midfield gets stuck, like today in the first half.
  5. How do we keep doing this ? We dont play that well but keep scoring a lot of goals, it's crazy. Are we going to see double figures when we actually do play great games ? I'm so happy and confused at the same time . But i'm still not happy, we seriously have to improve our play. Especially our first half performances. Didier Ives Drogba Tébily was without a doubt the MOTM. He seems like a new man after he had his operation.
  6. I don't even know what to say. So so sad. Good luck with whatever you'll do Sam. Maybe he'll coach Chelsea first team one day.
  7. This is very special talent and the people in charge at Chelsea would be fools not to get him. He actually seems interested in a move to our club but is scared of this move harming his development. Don't blame him at all. A move to Chelsea right now, would mean a place on the bench for him. Our more experienced players simply get played a lot more. Not attractive for youngsters at all. We have a great great talent in our squad right now and he wasn't even on the bench against the easiest opponent in the league at home! The place where we are at our absolute best and goals just fly in. We were destroying them and instead of bringing in the youngster Sturridge, who can use all the game time he can get, the coach brings in Kalou. A player I personally like but is simply not good enough for Chelsea and only should be brought on as a super-sub or play in emergencies. He is not going to get any better than he is right now so him coming on instead Sturridge, who is very young and has a lot of potential, was a absolute shock. Especially after a great performance against Man Utd. If it was up to me I would pay the money to trigger the clause and loan him back to Santos for two years, maybe three. He gains experience and by that time our starting attackers will be very old so starting instead of benching will be more likely. Everybody happy ! If the club handles the youngsters in the right way, Next-Gen Chels could be great (CL-winning) side. And more importantly, a far more entertaining side ! Cech New player Ivanovic Bruma Van Aanholt Mikel/Ramires Matic Kakuta/McEachran Kakuta/Sturridge Sturridge/Lukaku Neymar
  8. That's like saying Drogba's finishing and movement is better than Malouda's Pato is a striker and Neymar is a left attacker. So Pato's finishing and attacking intelligence Should be better than Neymar's. Pato is also two years older and would cost us 20-25 mil pounds more by the way
  9. I thought Ancelotti said Drogba isn't fit for a week or two. Able to play but not fully fit. If so, no need to rush him back. Lamps and Drogba are key players but they're not the youngest. Rushing them back might harm their fitness, short or long term. Cech Mikel Essien Matic Sturridge Anelka Malouda or Cech Ferreira Ivanovic Terry Cole Essien Mikel Kakuta Sturridge Anelka Malouda Ferreira Ivanovic Terry Cole
  10. IMO Matic should be Lampard's direct replacement whenever he's out (rarely happens), like today. Nemanja's the only one who comes close to Frank's passing ability and vision (his vision is even better than Frank's but that's no shame since he's a true playmaker). I think he's ready to play full matches against lower table sides. Or we could play Mikel in the holding midfielder role, Essien in his natural box-to-box role and Kakuta as our attacking midfielder. We have some great options so there's no reason to rush Lamps back.
  11. Please no ! Everything but diamond formation. Attacking through the middle is so hard in modern football. Many teams today play with two defensive-minded midfielders and that makes the diamond formation (or any other formation where you mainly attack through the middle) very easy to defend. And we don't have the right players for the diamond formation You need players with great passing abilties and great vision in your midfield. Players who excell in the one-touch passing. And you need world-class (classic) number 10 to feed the strikers with great through balls. Those players are practically (sadly) extinct in modern football. The only reason the diamond formation worked for Milan back in 2007 was because of legendary form of Kaka and Pirlo back then, especially Kaka's form, and the fact that Carlo put the main focus on the CL. In the domestic league they finished 4th. So please, let's just stick to our 4-3-3 formation. We've booked a lot of succes with that formation so no reason to change. I know we're only facing WBA but still. If we book a good result Carlo might wanna keep playing the formation (I'd rather play the 'English 4-4-2 formation'.)
  12. We could easily play the 'Barcelona midfield'. A DM (Busquets), CM (Xavi) and AM(Iniesta). In Chelsea's case: DM (Essien), CM (Lampard), AM (Özil). All three midfielders like to help out in defence so that's a big plus.
  13. Nahh they already have Müller and Kroos who play behind the main striker. Both huge huge talents so like at Real, it would be overkill.
  14. Jorge Valdano (Real Madrid) confirmed that they made a bid for Özil and got rejected. This is a great example of buying with no vision. You already have Kaka, Van der Vaart and Canales in your team and you are looking to add another attacking midfielder to the squad . Hope Özil doesn't join them (or Man Utd ) and instead stays in Bremen or join a team where he's really needed (hint us).
  15. Wondering what specific role he'll be playing for us.
  16. Welcome to Chelsea Fooball Club Now let's get Neymar and a skilfull playmaking AM (or play Kakuta there) and were set !
  17. Ivanovic is pretty fast but he needs a little time to reach full speed. Not as pacey as Riccy was in his prime though. Bruma too has good speed for a CB. But he's not ready yet. What our CB's do lack is agility (Bruma has good agility but again, not ready yet) and we don't have a real reader of the game. But defenders who really read the game are fading away quikly. Now it's all physical.
  18. Yeah i agree, very weird. Mancini seems to be the only coach who just comes out and admits who wants to sign or who's joining his squad.
  19. Yup, i agree and it's really bad for the club's (already horrible) reputation.
  20. Chelsea are really wasting the English talents. First Bertrand and now Cork. Cork held up pretty well in the PL, why waste his talent by loaning him to the Championship Bertrand has been doing well in the Championship for years and still no PL club loan or a chance with us. They already messed up Sinclair, so finally get it right with these two
  21. BREAKING NEWS: Santos Striker Neymar Agrees To Move To Chelsea - Report The Brazilian is on his way to London... By Subhankar Mondal Aug 12, 2010 2:06:00 PM Santos starlet Neymar has agreed to join Premier League champions Chelsea in the coming days, according to latest reports. One of Brazil's most important newspapers, Folha de Sao Paulo, claims that in a meeting held in New York the decision to allow the Brazilian international striker leave Santos for Chelsea was finalised. It's been reported that the meeting was held in the presence of the player, his father, agent (Wagner Ribeiro), Santos president Luiz Alvaro de Oliveira Ribeiro, Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck and agent Pini Zahavi. Neymar agreed to sign for the Blues, who will pay Santos €25 million. Neymar has been the target of Chelsea all summer and at one point it appeared that the move fallen through when Santos officially rejected a €20 million bid from the English giants. However, with Neymar having agreed to put pen to paper, it now appears that an official declaration will be made inside days. http://www.goal.com/...rees-to-move-to Let's hope this is true.
  22. I know he can play the role but do you seriously think he would be used as one if he'd join us. Doubt it.. Save the number for a true striker. The number has already been 'damaged' by giving it to the likes of Sidwell and Di Santo.. P.S, I wouldn't call him a winger as he hardly sticks to side like real wingers do. He's more a roaming left attacker. But i guess i'm getting all technical .
  23. He CAN play as one, thats true. So can Kalou, Walcott, Babel and many more but it's not their natural position.
  24. Made some few changes since Riccy left us.. Ferreira Ivanovic Terry Cole
