Early dementia setting in ? Would explain a lot.
Keep it classy, man. Just to echo the sentiment from someone else, and ironically this happened only yesterday and with another Belgian member; is this the way we talk to each other?
Doesn't put the Belgian crowd under a very good light indeed.
And yes I do think Courtois is one of the biggest twats in the game, challenging it with Ronaldo and Kdb. -

I remember it a whole lot different, then again, after his many dumb quotes, soon after people come telling how he didn't really say what he said. Sure some are taken out of context the media are the media afterall, but all those quotes? mmmm.

and after Jose left the first time he kept telling the media how he wants to leave, even went as far as saying things were broken.
Imagine if Courtois would love any manager as much as DD loved José (which I think impossible anyway, because he seems to care only about himself.) Yes, he wouldn't say anything, he would just leave.

Go take all the other Courtois's quotes, there are many. A whole lot. About a whole lot of topics. About Cech it was either in his last year at Atletico or during his first season here. Some dumb comment about how if he was in Cech's shoes he would leave or some shit like that.

Funny thing is, rewind to 2006 and put Jimmy instead of Petr, and that was the exact same thing people said about Drogba.
DD was feisty, he had passion, he wanted to win, (a few times he went overboard, I admit) he loved Chelsea. Can you honestly say the same about Courtois? Can you ever see Courtois being that outraged after a stolen CL semifinal.
If that would happen to Courtois, I imagine him strolling out of the pitch with his dumb expression as if he doesn't even know where he is, not giving two fucks about it, he gets his pay check either way and probably puts in a transfer request the following summer.
Did DD ever come out as arrogant as Courtois in his interviews? Can't recall it even once, unless it was against a direct rival. Courtois badmouthed all over his countryman Mignolet, he tried to do the same with Cech, there are countless examples of him doing this.
This example is just stupid, as a person, not even as a footballer, as a person Courtois isn't fit to look at Drogba. -

The average Chelsea fan, me included, has still Petr Cech in his heart. Not this petulant, arrogant, mercenary, child.

Did Messi really retire from the NT? I thought it was banter when i read it the other day. What is he 28? 29? What a little whiny twat.

This is why if they get eliminate by Germany (which is more then likely) it would not be that bad.
Of course it will be bad
Chelsea ain't the centre of the world right now, and these comments, frankly, are daft. I'd much rather have Chelsea players come sooner than Conte. He's actually thinking about Chelsea even now, by sending the Spanish home early. You know, Fabregas, Azpi, Pedro will be all rested for that meaningless friendly. While Conte is going to play a Euro Quarter Final against Germany.

Of Course Roma would play hardball when Chelsea come knocking on the door, but have no problems whatsoever selling Their top/2nd best player in Pjanic to a DIRECT TITLE rival in Juventus for less than Radja.
Of course they would. Just our luck.
Small Club mentality AS Roma have, and it is why they won't do anything in the Serie A.
Guess its on to the next one!
We fucked around with our bids. There was no way they would sell both players in the same window and everyone knew it, even my dog.
Pjanic wanted to leave, he himself said so, there was no way Roma could keep him. What we needed to do here was bid, negotiate without fucking around and finally get the player. Juventus have been faster in their dealing and it was done in days basically, we were linked ever since April ffs. -

Cesc can now come back to Chelsea to train, let Antonio find you in top shape, mate. -

I'm not one of the Hazard lover boys so calm down. You don't like Jose, i don't like Hazard, get over it. ?
With Conte's work ethic, Hazard will want an extensive siesta come december, after a sequence of self substitutions
His hip will be "injured" again. And thank god Courtois is not an outfield player or he would put in a transfer request come september.

Arbitraggio scandaloso.
Fallo su Eder non fischiato era scandaloso. Ramos doveva essere espulso prima del fischio di HT. Poco male, abbiamo vinto e la Spagna con arbitro compreso se la sono presa dove sappiamo noi.

I worry when I remember this. We also have no striker who can hold up play like pelle........
Bar a few.....Chelsea has a worse team than Italy. Let's open our eyes people
Azpi, Zouma, Matic, Willian, Hazard and Costa are the exceptions I'm talking about. -

That's what an Italian manager looks like.
That's what football looks like. Take notes. Work Hard, Defend, Press, Counter, Keep the ball when necessary. Do it with passion or fuck off.- Chelseabluerising and Stats

I don't think William Carvalho is any better than Matic and doesn't offer anything different than him to be honest.
We should buy Kante and play him in his best position (DM) and buy an actual B2B midfielder like Nainggolan, Witsel, or Gomes.
Yes, I know and I agree with the sentiment fully.
But if our b2b is going to be Witsel then I reckon we'd have more benefits from playing Kante there, with Carvalho rotating with Matic. I would take Gomes, but for 42 mill? No way, and he wouldn't completely fix our long running midfield problems.
I fear with Witsel we would make very little progress in quality. -
12 minutes ago, Yeboii said:
Why are Chelsea insisting that our midfield purchase is a Belgian? Surely there must be other midfielders out there that are better and younger.
Exactly. Get, if possible, Kante+Carvalho. Use Kante as b2b even if he's more of a dm, vastly better than belgian afroman mk2.
Alternatively get Allan from Napoli. -
They can still field a 0-0-7-3. Football is a game of movement and evolution afterall.
-
It's unbelievable how we seem unable to get our targets though. This was such an attainable target, we only had to act quicker and not piss around with half bids, we were linked ever since april.
I expect us to waste another month or two on Witsel and then failing to get him too. -
Don't like Witsel at all. He's just....meh. I would've gone for Kante+Carvalho. Well, let's see what happens.

Come on man, he finished his last season at Lille with 20 goals and made a small team french champion. When he was like 20-21.
I would reply to this, but then you would have to read twice, just in a far less articulate fashion, OhForAGreavsie's post.
As I've said a few times, he has the potential to be world class on his day, just like tonight, and even better than tonight if he would push himself harder. It just doesn't happen consistently, he has had very good performances with us, but also those, and I'm not talking only about the past season, where I was left hugely disappointed. Not to mention he's yet to show up in the CL. -

Yeah, because 2014-2015 never happened.
Aside from that season (and even that season he started slowly, too slowly for a top top player.) he has never consistently performed on the highest level like he did tonight, He has yet to do this in the CL. And I still think he can perform even better than tonight if he would push himself harder. Then again I don't regularly lick his ass and wear red-tinted glasses.

Have no problems with Belgian fans at all. Except you and a few others that is
In fact when the discussion is being kept civilized I even enjoy debating with you people. Many can tell you the same.
Constantly make cheap digs at Belgian players? I'm only consistent in my opinions regarding them. Courtois and Kdb, oh and Lukaku are in the "twat" category, I don't dislike Hazard, I just wish he would work harder because then, and only then, he would be a truly fantastic player. And anyway these comments are directed towards them, not towards your person, learn to differentiate this. Not in good light "buddy" not at all.
Didn't came to question even once his talent, man. Are people reading what they want to read?
You're better than this.
So, Buffon, Bonucci, Barzagli are twats? mmm.
Funny how this was all born from me liking Cech much more than (and disliking) Courtois.....Funny indeed.
