would love to see RLC start now, really deserves to start over Oscar or Ramires
Tibo
Azpi JT Zoum Baba ofc we all know which fullbacks will play eventually but one can dream
Mikel/Matic with Mikel's recent resurgence and Matic's declien I am actually indifferent between the two of them
RLC Fabreagas RL Fucking C has to start after that performance no two minds about it
Willian Kenedy Kenedy spread more danger in his cameo than Pedro and Oscar did combined the rest of the game
Diego goes without saying
should be a solid and at the same time creative enough lineup to take on almost any EPL side.
RLC was distinctly average and has not yet warranted a starting place.
Bar Hazard, and an injured Oscar, I think we could see a similar line up to Palace match

My first visit to Stamford Bridge in almost a year and it was amazing as usual. [emoji4] (Man, I've forgotten how crowded the nearest bar to me at half time). I wanted to keep up with the match thread here while I was in the game but the mobile internet from the O2 network was painfully slow so in the end couldn't do it.
I wanted to comment here about the starting XI and how disappointing it was, thankfully from the start of the 2nd half I finally get to see RLC...and he scored! (Highlight of the game for me) I really hope to see more of RLC in the near future, including Kenedy and Traore. They did well.
I personally wanted more than a 2-0 win, but a win's a win and while the game overall wasn't an impressive display, it wasn't a terrible one either.
not really ever had a problem getting a 4g signal there....not that I would want to be on a mobile whilst the match is on

Just saw highlights so happy for RLC finally home grown talent making his way into starting 11. Hope to see more of such talent play in starting 11.
He has actually started from the beginning in matches previous to this.

not just the goal, but the overall performance of RLC was brilliant.
on the ball, he looks comfortable. that turn was awesome. his movement is also very good. i dont get all that shit that he does not work hard.
compared to the likes of oscar and pedro, RLC should be getting more if not as much playing time as those "big money" signings.
kenedy was good too.
ramires is a good B2B player. if you play him as a destroyer and curb his runs, then you are using him in the worst possible way.
oscar and pedro were SHIT.
cesc "ran" the show in the 1st half but as soon as scunthorpe started pressing in the 2nd half, he became shite again.
dont know what happened to begovic's kicks.
zouma needs a partner who can run (so not JT) and someone who can defend well (so not GC).
all in all, happy with the result and the 2nd half performance.
I thought most of the 2nd half was pretty dire as if they had come out after dominating the 1st easily thinking the 2nd was going to be a doddle.
RLC wasnt all that good to start with and seemed to be running about like a headless chicken ....took a while for him to settle down.

whats all this they should have had a pen ? Guys at that end reckoned it looked as if the forward planted his foot into Ramires foot and it was outside the box anyway

You would have thought that the case v Mourinho ( if there actually is one) would have been heard first as the findings from that are pivotal in the constructive dismissal case.
The FA said there was no case to be heard against Mourinho but obviously an employment tribunal can say different and it just makes sense to me that the issue would have been sorted first.

Hey!
Figured I'd join a place to talk about my favorite club. Looking forward to the pre/post game threads.
I only started watching soccer/football as a filler during the 2004/2005 NHL lockout (hockey). I grew up in a small village called Chelsea so knowing no better, that's the team that sparked my interest at first. I grew to love the game and the Chelsea squad at the time (Drogba, Terry, Lampard, Makalele, Gallas, etc.). Also enjoyed the Mourinho attitude at the time. [emoji4]
Anyway, 11 years on and still don't miss a game. Figured I'd find a group of like-minded fans to chat about the games.
Looking forward to it.
welcome....good effort.

I dont think we will leave it at that as it is obvious there is a case to be heard from both sides and the club think they have a case otherwise they would have pushed for a settlement.
The only sticking point to the above is whether its true she wants her job back....for all we know that could be the reason why no agreement was reached.
Like I have previously stated my comments, your comments and others on what may or may not have happened are all speculation and we are 2nd guessing what is going on by our knowledge of employment tribunals or lack of.
Apparently there wasnt silence between the club and the doctor like you are suggesting and there was communication. Hence the detailed texts, emails etc that will be used by lawyers on both sides if allowed by the tribunal.
So...lets leave it that Kojak
You are so horribly missing the point that it is painful. REGARDLESS of whether this has gone to tribunal or been settled internally, my point is that she has every right to take the club on for damages because she has been absolutely humiliated in a public arena. Whether or not she is asking for her job back is another matter entirely. But that is irrelevant in the context of my point. I am not making any points based on speculation or innuendo, but based on the way she was quite clearly berated and insulted on the touchline by Mourinho, and the rather public fallout that ensued.
And you are with a huge misunderstanding missing other points which are that the tribunal allegedly by all accounts is just not about that one incident.
The FA have already cleared Mourinho about that incident with use of words that might or might not been used towards to her and the physio and I think the club were being influenced by them getting involved .
-
What has she given to the club that not some other doctors have given us?
Its not like she is some legend at the club. Only reason she is well known is because she is female and an attractive one.
In reality, nothing has changed at the club's medical part since she was dismissed. She hasn't given us anything else than being a doctor, just like our current doctors are doing.
Not once did I say she's given more than anyone else. However, as you've alluded to in a later post, you got hung up over my use of the word "given".
Regardless, it doesn't matter whether she was long-serving or a three-month intern. The way she was treated was disgraceful.
Well obviously the club think her and her lawyers do not have that much to go on and have called their bluff by letting this go to tribunal instead of settling out of court under her terms.Of course, she still has the option of a settlement ( agreed mutually) right up until the hour of the case.
A see some posters are getting confused by what Mourinho said after the match and the actions of the club there after.
Also, some posters seem to giving verdicts of the club being completely in the wrong without hearing a shred of evidence from either party
Good work Poirot
The club did nothing to either back or admonish Mourinho for his actions. In truth, in acquiescing with his actions, they indirectly condoned them. Their silence on the matter is deafening no matter how you would try to sugar-coat it.
However, the irony here is delicious. Whilst you're lambasting ""some posters" for being "confused" and for "giving verdicts... without hearing a shred of evidence from either party", to open your own statement with "Well obviously the club think her and her lawyers..." is somewhat contradictory.
Good work, Miss Marple.
I think we'll leave it at that.
I don't think Alex said she did anything more special than the other doctors do. I don't think Alex said she was a legend, actually he didn't say that. What Alex said was very simple: she worked many years for this club and didn't deserve to leave the way she did, just like the other doctors who are working for the club don't deserve that kind of treatment., because people that are not "legends" also deserve respect.I think his post was very simple to understand.
Correct. At least one person is able to comprehend what I was saying. Regardless of the rather undignified way she has acted since, this treatment is most unfair.
I dont think we will leave it at that as it is obvious there is a case to be heard from both sides and the club think they have a case otherwise they would have pushed for a settlement.

Although, that Daily Mail article has no quotes, so it's a bit ridiculous.
Thats the whole idea...
Daily telegraph reporting Hazard wants to see who new manager is before deciding.
Can see the headlines in June
HAZARD PICKS ..........XYZ...AS NEW MANAGER OF CHELSEA.
love all the stories. ;-)
-
Good old Daily Mail back page reporting he wants to leave for PSG now
Great a bidding war
We want 150m ;-)

Hold onto your horses chaps...not done and dusted.

She didn't get sacked.

That's what I read as well, but how could she file an 'unfair dismisal' case if she wasn't actually dismissed?!
Constructive dismissal.....It could be based on several events behind the scenes then the match incident was the final straw.
Speculation of course ;-). As you or I do not know and why it amuses me that posters have made their judgement already without the full story behind the scenes coming to light

Without getting bogged down with the legalities of the case what is undeniable is Mourinho's petulant schoolboy just found out he's going to Darlington rather then Disneyland for his summer holidays is all the evidence the prosecution need that Eva's boss was to say the least prone to the occasional tantrum and overreaction.
Paco Biosca???? He was her immediate boss

Do we know if the club actually fired her or she decided not to continue working? Because obviously Jon Fearn has returned.
Anyway, I think regardless, she will win the case against the club because (unless courts work differently in Britain) it will most likely hinge on the expert testimony of another professional doctor who will probably side with her.
As for the sexism case against Jose, if she wins that, it would only be because of the media hysteria that followed the case. The only sexism involved in the case is the media coverage and witch hunt that followed the incident just because she is a hot woman.
She was never sacked by the club and the week following after the match incident there was a meeting between the manager and medical team where things were allegedly cleared up. She chose not to go back to work after the match.
The strong rumours of other incidents and certain decision making by her regarding injuries and rest for 1st team players may come to light

Hope she takes them to the cleaners.
Not only does it constitute unfair dismissal, it it was entirely humiliating, degrading, and embarrassing for someone who's given a lot to the club.
I previously posted that I backed Mourinho on his choice, and to some extent I still do, and I made the point that I would rather have José than some doctor. Nevertheless, that doesn't take into account her shameful treatment and the club deserve what's coming to them.
Well obviously the club think her and her lawyers do not have that much to go on and have called their bluff by letting this go to tribunal instead of settling out of court under her terms.

Doesn't matter to me how he ends up there. Seeing our best (and my personal favorite) manager ever at the helm of a club I despise will be painful.
He's a success wherever he goes and he'll be one there. Which in turn means we'll likely be less successful.
I wouldn't worry about it...its just football.
Seen many managers come and go...same with players. Just wish them luck and move on
