  1. 3 points and that's all that matters at this stage in the season. Chasing down the top and putting the pressure on. Gives WBA hope for survival which will pump up their game against Spurs next week. Scenario: Say we topple Liverpool to 4th, but they win champions league...does a 2012 happen again? Where we stopped Spurs qualifying? If that's the case...we should stop with the chasing Liverpool stories in case they do win the trophy.
  2. How some of these players are deemed professional and worthy of playing for the reigning champions is beyond me. Bakayoko - What honestly has he done since joining Chelsea? Played in one of Monaco's most exciting teams and okay I understand some players may need a season to adapt to the Premier League, but this guy cannot even pass to a blue shirt. When he loses the ball, he doesn't try to win it back, strolls back. On the rare occasion he does run back he clatters into the player who dispossessed him. Awful signing, flop of the season. Pedro - Headless chicken. I love Pedro when the team is on form, but he is useless when we need our forward players to create and hold up the play. Hudson-Odoi would have been able to have put in a better performance tonight. David Luiz - You can tell he and Conte fell out. He just doesn't 'care' anymore. Back to his bull in a China shop ways. Cahill - No words. I can name many more in this side who are not Chelsea standard. It seems a distant memory where we had leaders in our team. Terry, Cole, Lampard, Ballack, Drogba, with players around them like Carvalho, Ferreira, Makelele (my favourite 'recent' player), Robben, Joe Cole, Cech.... only Hazard from now would get in that team. Conte has made mistakes, sure. He even admitted that tonight with his selection. But he needs to have a plan B when it's not going right. At 0-1, we didn't need 3 central defenders. We was creating nothing. Why not take off Moses, switch to a 4-2-3 with Hudson-Odoi replacing him. Okay, he may not have sparked a comeback, but we saw from the Bournemouth game that he is willing to take on his man and try, something our players are not doing at the moment. With just Giroud & Hazard, we was getting crowded out, needed that 3rd man in attack. Speaking of Giroud, I was glad we got him, I think he would do well. But why did we not play to his strength when he came on? He had one opportunity to attack the ball with his head, which ended up with good defending from the Watford attacker. Our season is over. We should from now use our youth to get them more match experience and who knows, even unearth a gem. Hudson-Odoi won't do any worse than current form Pedro/Willian. Sterling won't do any worse than Moses/Zappacosta. As much as he is the main scapegoat for some, Cahill will play as he is captain... It will be an absolute miracle if we somehow progress against Barcelona.
  3. With Hazard's form, I'd say so. Why not use the players who show they want to play.
  4. Traore as well as Kenedy I'm very excited for. They are keen to impress and actually look a goal threat. Loved Traore's attitude when he came on vs Stoke, and nearly scored an absolute blinder. I'd give him matches at RW, with Willian occupying a more central role.
  5. Point #5, so true. If we get an early goal, keep at it! We can't defend like we used to, only feel confident of this at 3-0 as we are always likely to concede at least once.
  6. Begovic Azpi - Zouma - Cahill - Baba Ramires - Mikel Willian - RLC - Kenedy Remy ^ Players who deserve to play at the moment. Must win game, why not use the players who will actually be up for it? However, I'm sure the team will be: Begovic Zouma - Cahill - Terry - Azpi Fabregas - Mikel Willian - Oscar - Hazard Costa
  7. Our recent 'improvement' in form twinned with bad luck is going to mean that we will absolutely batter a team soon. Everything will somehow click and the shots will find the back of the net rather than inches wide. However, for the sake of the team and club we need something new. A new, passionate face who will make the right improvements to the side to get them firing and back to the top where we belong. I believed Jose when he said he wanted to create a dynasty, as I'm sure most of us did. But we all know he doesn't last long at clubs. With the upcoming fixtures, on paper they're winnable. If we win most/all of them, crisis over? No. With our negative tactics and on/off the field controversy, we will slump back. New manager, new direction. Take us away from the media, until we can be shown as a respected club. The new manager needs to be trusted with signings, both in and out, no more "yes" men (I know I said I wanted Ancelotti in my last post), and give him time. Use this season as a transitional period. Give Kenedy, Baba, Traore, RLC game time, let them evolve. Kick out the players who will not fight for the shirt or who will kick up a fuss if we don't qualify for the Champions League. We are allowed 25 players in our squad, use it.
  8. As an infrequent poster, long time reader, this current situation makes me have to vent. If my views are agreed with or not, that's fine. It's the time to talk. First off, I love Jose. His time from 04-07 will always be remembered by Chelsea supporters. Our first league title in 50 years, taking us to new heights in the Champions League and becoming the best team in England. We had the likes of Robben, Duff, J.Cole, Makelele, Lampard, Essien, Carvalho, Cech...I could go on. The only downside, was that it seemed like he was setting us up as a robotic unit, a team who would just not be beat and would win even with an unattractive style. But we didn't care, we won and we dominated. The second time around? Times are different, but still the same in some way. We're still set up as a robotic unit, no style or flair, just go out to win. We have/had some incredibly talented, skillful players with Hazard, Mata, Oscar, De Bruyne Willian and more. Yet, the tactics aren't to their strengths. Why does Hazard need to track back? His duty and his wages are going to him to create chances, and win the game. Are our defenders not trusted enough to deal with the opposition? The saddest thing, to me about Jose coming back, is that I don't think he is 'one of us'. He never looks happy, even in his first interview back he didn't break one smile. I can't even remember the last time he celebrated a goal. The name "Jose Mourinho" has lost it's vigor. When a man deemed the Special One has a season like this one, with seemingly losing the dressing room, something needs to be done. Chelsea Football Club are no longer feared. Coming to Stamford Bridge would be 'bonus' games for the lesser teams, where if they somehow got a point they would go home delighted. Now, no team is afraid to have a go, and believe they can win. I would get him out. As well as the supposed player who's said they'd rather lose. Whoever it may be, the club is bigger than both of them combined. We need a fresh face, someone that you can see cares for the team, the fans and the players. We made a huge mistake by letting Ancelotti go, now Roman use your magic to get him back!
  9. I think the board needs to ask themselves a big question, as early as Monday; Do we want to save our season? If the answer is yes, then Jose needs to go now. We have been in poor form throughout 2015, and if it wasn't for set pieces/individual wondergoals, we'd be even worse off than where we are at the moment. We have no setup, no passion, like the players just don't want to play for the manager/shirt anymore. Something needs to change. We've tried different players/slight tactical changes and absolutely nothing has helped. Somewhere along the line, the blame has to be with the manager. We need a positive thinking manager. Someone who can actually be here a number of years, actually have the mentality of building a dominant squad with a tactical awareness to play flowing, winning football. I would look no further than Klopp. If the answer is no, and we are writing off this season; then Baba, RLC and Kenedy/Traore needs as many minutes as possible. If we are just playing to finish this season, why not give them extensive minutes to develop/get used to the flow of the Premier League? Besides, they cannot play worse than our current crop. Use them, develop them. Also, if we write off this season and finish 7th for example, then some players will want to leave purely for the fact that they won't play Champions League football with Chelsea that upcoming season.
