Surely we're not just bringing Villas-Boas alone to the club ? One of the reasons , possibly , that we still haven't announced AVB's contract is that the suits are also likely working on bringing some of his backroom staff along with him . Wouldn't put it past AVB to know about Josh McEachran's qualities already . There is a definitive push from the club specifically pushing for the development of Josh as a player and a personality of CFC , putting him in club events like the ' Audience with .. ' etc . They as well as the rest of us know we have a diamond in the rough , and I'll be willing to bet big money that there's a careful development plan already in place for Josh.

I think its more of a case of his agent trying not to belittle his client in saying he's not a makeshift to help with the Lukaku transfer. Its likely not to be a part of the same deal , just different transfers that are intertwined together. De Bruyne himself has this to say : "I have had time to think about my future and I would love to join Chelsea, but the important thing next season is that I play," he said. "And with Chelsea there is not that guarantee, but there would be at Anderlecht and they would be ideal springboard for me.
