  1. Everybody is on their toes today haha, the excitement is fever pitch , just like transfer deadline day :541:
  2. VILLAS-BOAS INTEREST CONFIRMED C http://www.chelseafc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10268~2379963,00.html
  3. http://www.skysports...6999411,00.html I agree though , nobody in the media has a clue what Roman is thinking or what is being decided in the boardroom . The ones who do know as his closest advisors , don't talk to the media.
  4. Haha , I've been trying to convince the Kiwii guy otherwise but he seems deadpan over streaming tennis . Won't happen till late evening anyway , if there is even going to be a press conference although a BBC reporter just tweeted about going to the Bridge .
  5. Wouldn't put it past AVB to know about Josh McEachran's qualities already . There is a definitive push from the club specifically pushing for the development of Josh as a player and a personality of CFC , putting him in club events like the ' Audience with .. ' etc . They as well as the rest of us know we have a diamond in the rough , and I'll be willing to bet big money that there's a careful development plan already in place for Josh.
  6. :blue scalf: Haven't felt this good since the Torres transfer , but what's even better is , haven't felt this optimistic about the future for a long long time .
  7. OFFICIAL FC PORTO puts a release on the Stock Exchange : http://web3.cmvm.pt/sdi2004/emitentes/docs/FR34462.pdf
  8. Sky Sports News reporting that AVB is already in London discussing terms.
  9. LIVE Sky Sports Feed : http://magictvv.yola...om/stream-2.php
  10. Wonder how he got a hold of that kinda money , Roman's platinum card still hasn't been reported missing .
  11. You know it wont' be official till the club takes all day , releases a teaser on youtube of a big announcement , a big banner of a ChelseaTV exclusive so theres still time for a few more subscriptions signing up , and at about 10pm , there will be a statement on the website before Villas Boas gives a poorly produced 4 minute interview
  12. More sources including the apparently reputable Journal de Noticias : http://translate.google.com/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&sl=auto&tl=en&u=http://www.jn.pt/PaginaInicial/Desporto/Interior.aspx?content_id=1884477 http://translate.google.com/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&sl=auto&tl=en&u=http://www.ionline.pt/conteudo/131796-andre-villas-boas-ja-enviou-fax-anunciar-rescisao
  13. CONFIRMED http://translate.google.com/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&sl=auto&tl=en&u=http://www.maisfutebol.iol.pt/fcporto/villas-boas-fc-porto-chelsea/1261736-1304.html
  14. NEWS JUST BREAKING Andre Villas-Boas fax sent to FC Porto to report the termination http://translate.google.com/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&sl=auto&tl=en&u=http://desporto.publico.pt/noticia.aspx?id=1499601 I've got no clue about the legitimacy of the source but looking at the timeline and the current time in Portugal , this broke about 10 minutes ago .
  15. Hasn't seen much of the ball at all , Brazil aren't keeping the ball well for that matter . Denmark could've gone even and even lead if they had converted their chances .
  16. I'd be surprised if this hasn't been posted in here already but its been a long day in filling these pages up and some might've missed it . He speaks fluent English , is warm and friendly , readily likeable , doesn't shrug away from a question and you can tell he's not ducking behind a wall as a personality . Starts speaking English at 15 : 00 and goes on for another 15 minutes , speaking about his time at Chelsea and the fact that he still talks to staff and players and likes life in London , as his family does as well . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cP1q-E89K6w&t=14m50s
  17. If it hasn't been posted already , here's an incredibly insightful article on Villas-Boas . Covers his roots and advent into the game , going into great detail with plenty of references . Makes for a good read altogether : http://www.level3football.com/royhendo/article/andre_villas_boas_would_you_back_him_as_the_next_liverpool_manager
  18. Villas-Boas' league record at Porto: W, W, W, W, W, W, D, W, W, W, W, D, W, W, W, W, W, W, W, W, W, W, W, W, W, W, W, W, D, W Ahem .
  19. I think its more of a case of his agent trying not to belittle his client in saying he's not a makeshift to help with the Lukaku transfer. Its likely not to be a part of the same deal , just different transfers that are intertwined together. De Bruyne himself has this to say : "I have had time to think about my future and I would love to join Chelsea, but the important thing next season is that I play," he said. "And with Chelsea there is not that guarantee, but there would be at Anderlecht and they would be ideal springboard for me. Think its pleasing to hear him make things easier for the club, he's basically stepping down from Genk as champions with hopes of getting into the CL through qualifying to Anderlecht , where is he guaranteed playing time anyway . Must've had plenty of assurances from our people saying he's required at Chelsea in due time. Couldn't agree more, we are direly lacking in some much needed pace and the ability to surprise up front , much too predictable and static the way things are right now and it wouldn't be any different with having Lukaku in the squad . De Bruyne would fit in more seamlessly , the way things stand.
  20. - Kevin De Bruyne - The agent http://www.skysports...6993406,00.html More quotes from his agent confirming that despite Liverpool and City's interest in the player , Chelsea is his first choice . Sky Sports also confirming what we knew all along , Lukaku talks are ongoing and is likely to be settled soon . Irony is , we need De Bruyne more than Lukaku the way things remain right now .
  21. Boxing day fixtures: 26th Dec : Fulham (H) 31st Dec : Villa (H) 2nd Jan : Wolves (A)
  22. First game of the season : Stoke ( away ) First Home game of the season : West Brom Last away game of the season : Liverpool Last game of the season : Blackburn ( home )
  23. Bronzetti denies it here : http://translate.google.com/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&sl=auto&tl=en&u=http://www.sportyou.es/blog/futbol/2011/06/14/bronzetti-el-madrid-tiene-casi-cerrado-a-neymar-335850.html Interesting how in a feeding frenzy that's going around in the rest of Europe in signing players , Gourlay's quotes about the immediate future of the club comes when he's out on a paid trip to Hong Kong .
  24. Ronaldo for his last 15 minutes in yellow , 3 shots, two on target and saved by the keeper , one from 2 yards out . Could've had atleast on goal with an assist from Neymar . El` phenomenon either way , fortunate to have seen him play his final game for Brazil. Easy to see why Neymar is streets ahead of Robinho , his dribbling and skill actually has purpose , as opposed to Robinho who runs right into a defender or gives the ball away . Also , he's been swtching flanks all half and has been good from the right as well , did everything he could to get Ronaldo to score .
  25. Tommy Docherty : " I'm very proud to be here , the club has been very good to me . I love Chelsea . " :blue scalf:
