  1. YESS ! Being confirmed on SSN as well , its all coming together .
  2. David Luiz at Chelsea for 20 million ByNewsroom Chelsea have secured the signing of David Luiz. It was an overnight operation of the blues and England central defender for 23 years is already preparing to travel to London. The Brazilian central defender will arrive tonight to England to meet a new phase of his career. The agreement was reached this afternoon in a transfer that will yield to the religious community of the Light 20 million, a cash payment, payable over five million in 2013. The transfer also includes Nemanja Matic, the Chelsea central defender, who will be seconded by the blues but, however, should only come to light next season. Waiting for some kind of confirmation from a reputable source . Here's more buzz ": http://twitter.com/#!/portugoaldotnet : Benfica try to outdo city rivals Sporting in the "letting go of an icon" stakes. I'm not venturing into the Lisbon streets tonight http://twitter.com/#!/jasonburt_tele ( Daily Telegraph Journo ) : http://forum.talkchelsea.net/index.php?app=forums&module=post&section=post&do=reply_post&f=8&t=5156&qpid=173146
  3. Had to bring some attention to Luiz after all the Torres drama haha . Crazy as it is , the day just got better . Its as good as confirmed : http://www.abola.pt/nnh/ver.aspx?id=245075
  4. This has to be the most insane deadline day EVER !
  5. BReaking news coming out of Portugal , we've apparently got David Luiz for 25 mill . Take it how you like : http://twitter.com/#!/portugoaldotnet
  6. Reports out of Portugal that Benefica have agreed to sell for 25 mill ! http://twitter.com/#!/portugoaldotnet
  7. Guillem : Torres to Chelsea deal almost done. Player waiting to get permission from Lpol to travel to London to pass medical
  8. Dan Roan @danroan London, UK Sports News Correspondent, BBC News Reliably informed that talks on image rights and salary (approx 175k/week) are all that remains forTorres deal to be completed http://twitter.com/#!/danroan
  9. This guy' claims : BREAKING NEWS there will be some big news regarding Fernando Torres coming from both #LFC and #CFC at around 7pm or 8pm GMT! http://twitter.com/Vredesbyrd
  10. For someone with so much skill and talent , Anelka sure is infuriating at times . Should've slotted the through ball from Ramires in .
  11. No arguments there , he's nowhere near putting the kind of shift needed for a wing-back with the way we play in our system . Wouldn't be surprised if Bane started at RB if Alex was fit in the middle , his runs are positive and always with purpose . Bosingwa , has been a bit of a headless chicken running forward lately .
  12. Just stating as an example that when it comes to holding the fort at the back , against the very best , he's no slouch . Besides, he's barely played much for the next two seasons since.
  13. Bos seems like he's lost his bearings a little since coming back from injury , moreso at the back . Not to forget though , he is quality when he is on song , injuries did him in . Remember he kept Messi at bay all night at the Nou Camp when Cole was out suspended , played at LB and was astounding that night . Defensive masterclass , along with the rest of the backline .
  14. That's that then . http://web3.cmvm.pt/sdi2004/emitentes/docs/FR31601.pdf 'PRESS RELEASE The Sport Lisboa e Benfica - Futebol, SAD, in compliance with Article 248 of the Code Securities, reports that reached no agreement with Chelsea Football Club for transfer of sporting and economic rights of the athlete David Luiz Moreira Marinho lying this time the negotiation process ended. The Board of Directors 28 January 201'
  15. First time I actually believe this bid wasn't all smoke . http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/torres-is-not-for-sale WTF is the club doing waiting till the final 3 days of the transfer window ? Did Roman just get back from his island to the mainland to see the board lazing around and sanction a massive bid ? There's no way this transfer will go through and I'm willing to bet even the suits involved with transfers know it . Probably just flexing some muscle saying we've still got some in the transfer market .
  16. Radio morons . Switched games just because Chelsea are winning .
  17. From a Chelsea news writer , updating the situation real-time on twitter : Ray Wilkins told he was being removed this PM: at half time in a reserve match he was watching with Ancelotti. Both shocked. 1 minute ago via Twitter for BlackBerry® Much of the Ray Wilkins speculation seems to revolve around a contract dispute rather than a major falling-out. #chelsea 17 minutes ago via Twitter for BlackBerry® http://twitter.com/BluesChronicle
  18. Looks like a sacking rather than a contract not being renewed to me . No contract runs out in the middle of a season . Massive loss , the media will have a field day and just when you thought there was some semblance of stability in the club this happens . Not jumping to any conclusions yet about the board , but they might've blown this one , bad .
  19. Here's a full blooded statement if there ever was one : http://www.santosfc.com.br/noticias/conteudo.asp?id=22687 "In respect to fans, sponsors and advisors Santos Football Club, the board has the following to clarify the reported interest from Chelsea Football Club striker Neymar: 1) All surveys and proposals, whether official or unofficial, to foreign clubs or national Neymar received by the athlete and will get the same answer: NO Saints are interested in trading that considers one of his greatest talents; 2) The Saints will not bow to pressure or suggestions from anyone to negotiate the athlete; 3) The Saints will publish any threat that is made against the player or the club to force a unilateral breach without paying the termination clause of the contract; 4) The Saints will comply fully with the signed contract and make sure that the athlete will do the same by relying on their training and in his word; 5) The only hypothesis Neymar stop wearing the shirt of Santos is on full payment of the fine rescission provided in the contract; 6) The Saints will act with the discipline to enforce rights under the law and will not allow sports clubs or businesses recruit and seduce our athletes; 7) The Saints will not tolerate unethical attitudes of other associations, national or foreign, or agents for any of his athletes, otherwise go to FIFA to ensure that our rights are preserved and that unethical actions are restrained by the maximum authority football; 8) The board of Santos reiterated his appreciation and affection by Neymar athlete and has absolute conviction that maintaining this relationship is the best alternative to that club and athletes achieve their biggest goals; 9) The Saints will present next week, a development project for the career of the athlete to plan the best use of his brilliant talent. A project that interested him and Brazilian soccer. Luis Alvaro de Oliveira Ribeiro Chairman of Santos FC" Its clear that he doesn't want to let go of Neymar , considering Santos have already sold 2 or 3 first teamers from last season to clubs but it also goes to show that its a negotiating tactic where nothing can be done about their grasp on the player if Neymar hands in a transfer request AND we match the buy out clause , which is the full 28.7 mill sterling. We've so far officially made only one offer , about 17 mill and there seems to be more weightage to his earlier comments about us asking for a fax number ( Google it dammit haha) ... which means a second bid is highly imminent . Either way , I can't see the club getting into another 'tapping up' situation anytime soon , let alone for what happened with Kakuta's case , which FIFA still owes us an apology by the way , seeing it was proved we didn't do ANYTHING wrong in getting Gael. This will only gain steam in the coming weeks right uptil the transfer window shuts , if it gets dragged along
  20. Its just a quick chat about Adidas contracts , just a case of the pretty blonde wondering what an Englishman smells like, just a game at the park after going back to Germany , just AARRRGGHHH ! Bastiaaan ! London Calling !!
  21. Yep , for new members signing in to see older ones with a large post history making the racist comments or infact , sticking up for it , wishing death on a player and making fun of his appearance in a thread titled " Official : Yossi Signs " as a new player coming in to OUR club , is just bound to turn off potential new posters from expressing any sort of an opinion when there's a stupid unnecessary juvenile circus going around . Makes the whole thing kind of look pathetic really.
  22. I can't wait to see him play in the Blue shirt. Such an easy player on the ball that its a treat to watch, very very technically gifted and has time and again found an opening and spaces for a through ball and despite being a willowy frame, is strong on the ball. He's got a footballing brain. Boils down to this, a proven player in the league, hence no two-year settling in process for a flavor-of-the-month player from the WC or indeed anywhere else who needs to get used to the pace and tussle of the Premiership -- who can provide different options , experienced and can provide strength in depth for that kind of money, is an excellent piece of business. It hilarious that there are some actually complaining about this signing .
  23. Yossi is a fantastic squad player to have , one of the few consistently good performers from the Liverpool squad . Technically good, is easy on the ball and having him along with Kakuta in the right wing could work out well for both the players, not to mention helping in the development of Gael . Great signing IMO , if people don't get caught up in touting him as the replacement for Cole, which he is NOT . Could end up to be a brilliant signing for a proven creative player in the league despite his age, time will tell. Could just be the kind of guy who could help open up defences when we are up against a brick wall.
  24. While I was reading what the OP had said , I thought he was talking about Capello . Ancelotti is the exact opposite , he's a young manager compared to many and he still remembers that feeling of being a player and one with the lads . He can still do a sprint down the pitch despite that belly ! I remember reading about how Carlo took the team out for an Italian dinner one night to loosen the strings a little . Deadmilkman made a good point about how Gattuso was down to tears when he heard about Carlo leaving . Even Ray Wilkins repeatedly has said how Carlo keeps things calm and always finds humour to lighten the mood within the camp and always finds an excuse to crack a joke . His English has come leaps and bounds from a year ago and the players , supporters, Roman himself and the entire club are loving him !
