Once again, last night Conte has refused to answer if he will be Chelsea's manager next season. Don't wanna scare anybody or sound too pessimist but it's clear Antonio is playing hardball with the board and he might do what he did in the past with Juventus. The matters are well known: players recruitment (he wants to compete with the top European clubs) and backroom staff. Roman, Antonio might be one of the best thing happened to Chelsea, don't be penny pincher!

we were crying all the summer for the board to sign a CB. david luiz is far better than any name we've been linked with, and CHEAPER. welcome back geezer!
-
Apparently Koulibaly is a bit overrated on here, if you believe he's a world class defender with Pirlo's ability on the ball you're wrong. Thanks to Maurizio Sarri's tactical influence the last season he's been extremely good and rightly considered by many as the best centre-back in Serie A (especially in the first half of the season) but not long ago he was like a poor version of David Luiz. For £30m he was a gamble worth taking, £45m+ is just madness.

Cuadrado > De Bruyne

With the transfer market closed all over Europe i can't see this millions storm happening. What's the point for PSG in selling Cavani, a first XI in their squad, to Arsenal and having to wait till Jan or the next summer to replace him? It's not gonna happen that much, they are only trying to keep people glued to the screen.
-
might still happen. https://www.fcbayern.de/en/news/news/2015/press-release-300815-fc-bayern-take-kingsley-coman-on-loan-from-juventus.php

Is Jose still around the forum?I'd like to ask you what's the point in having a workhorse with Mikel's shot accuracy and assist ability as our number 10??
-
I totally agreed with you about the Premier League being in decline for the last 4/5 years, but in my opinion still levels above the Bundes (with the exception of Bayern which is clearly better than any PL team). Referring to La Liga clubs apart from Real and Barca as championship material was the real BS. But things might change next year with the new tv rights deal (and i think it will), even if money wasn't the reason because the funds have always been there but badly spent (I can mention for example how Tottenham spent the treasure generated by Bale's sale).
-
So you might have a secret crush on overrated players. And It's a shame because Verratti would be the perfect signing for our cm spot.
-
Sorry mate, i might have missed the post where you kindly replied to my statement about Oscar potentially having better stats than De Bruyne in Bundes. My pc just showed me the one where you sounded offending and bullying. My answer was more a joke than pure serious. Anyway, i don't wanna get involved in arguing about De Bruyne while our team look dogshit and it seems like no real game changer player (besides Pedro) will join us at the moment. He's the smallest of our problems.
-
Wow!Today's lesson learned, never say De Bruyne is a good player but not world class or a Belgian will insult you without reasons. Hey macho man, I'm Italian and as you can see from the four stars on our badge apparently we play and understand football quite well. When I'll need a help with mussels and fries I'll look for your advice, but not with football. I had huge expectation when De Bruyne joined Chelsea based on his youtube videos (i know, big mistake) but then I can remember only few games where he was anonymous, and on top of that his well known lack of spirit to fight for a place. You might say he was better than Hazard at World Cup, yes it's true, I followed the Belgium national team because i like it a lot (on the paper) and De Bruyne was decent in a mediocre team in which Hazard looked completely drained of his strength after a long and exhausting season in one hell of a championship, not a mickey mouse league (you're right again mate) like the one De Bruyne has been playing in. When we'll meet City again this season I'll shit in my pants only thinking about Silva and Aguero, and not for the ginger pork who at that time will probably be sitting on a bench. Enjoy Hazard, your NT have a gem in that guy. My two years old nephew has a better first touch than Lukaku. Your beers are amazing. Best regards.

Even if Man City splash 58m on De Bruyne, it doesn't mean De Bruyne is a 58m worth player, like Lescott wasn't worth 22m and so many others (of course we did exactly the same in the past). He's good, but far from being world class. Put Oscar in a Bundes team and he'll have better stats than De Bruyne. Put Willian in a Bundes team and...no he won't score anyway.
-
The first time I saw Stones playing I thought (like many others) the guy was going to be the next big thing, but in his recent games he's been more like the next Gary Cahill. I'd like to have him in the squad, but not any price, not even for 30m. In my humble opinion, AT THE MOMENT, i'd easily pick Zouma ahead of him any day.
-
Still I'm sure we'll sign two players at the deadline day, or even earlier. Likely a double deal with Zenit for Witsel and Garay, two stopgap options, not a huge upgrade of what we already have but they'll help us having a decent season at least. And i'm more reliable than many tweets i've seen posted here. I think we actually were ready to step into the new season with the same squad that have won the league last year + Begovic/Falcao and a LB. Then in the last few weeks we realized we have to react to City's spending spree but wrongly targeting un-buyable players at the minute. Jose, Marina, Emenalo and all the board were absolutely brilliant last summer, but now they have to take the blame for this mess.
-
It means really nothing because in the second picture there's Coman for whom Juventus are rumoured to be close to reach a deal with Bayern. I'm not trying to argue with anyone, it's just that so many bs and ridiculous links (like the daily mail ones) have been posted in this thread by people expecting to be taken seriously.
-
Something you might have missed is that Di Marzio is not a fictional character or an internet freak. He's one of the main journalist in Sky Sport Italia regarded as the most reliable source for transfer news. He personally knows football players and their agents. But I'm sure Raiola is a close friend of this Jorge Ramos fella.
-
And so an Uruguayan sports commentator should know better than anyone else the truth about the negotiation between an English and an Italian club for the move of a French player because he tweeted last night something about it and starting it with the huge word "RUMOR".... oh.....ok.
-
-
The HUGE difference between Pogba and Koke is that the letter has a release clause. The problem with Koke is it's seems he doesn't fancy a move to the Premier League at this stage of his career.
-
Yeah, it'd be really smart and make sense for Juve to keep it secret till the last day of the window avoiding a bidding war between the top clubs in Europe.
-
Even if the Pogba deal is 90% almost done, if something unpredictable will happen and the move collapse, who will be your favourite last minute plan B for the CM spot: - Witsel (quite cheap) - Moutinho (out injured till late october) - Koke (€60m release clause) other..
-
I'm from Italy and I can assure you that none has ever talk about a possible deal, an improved offer or Pogba leaving Juve. I repeat, in Italy, a country where we talk, eat and breathe football 24h a day. If there was any possibility, even the remotest possibility to reach a deal there would have been hours and hours of debates already, even more so in a negotiation that involved a garbage bin with a big mouth called Raiola. Do you really believe that such a mammoth deal can be agreed in few days, without long negotiations and in the last week of the transfer market?Get real! I'm a Chelsea fan, I'd love to see Pogba in our midfield, but there's literally no chance of this happening this year.
-
I raise the white flag, he's definitely coming! allah akbar!
-
The meaning was that talking about Pogba joining us is like what Liverpool and Arsenal fans did during the summer with Reus and Benzema. And this article (sorry it's only in italian) explain why the Arab guy won't get any birthday cake. http://www.calciomercato.com/news/romano-pogba-il-piano-della-juventus-e-la-vera-offerta-del-chels-681717 calciomercato.com is the most popular website in Italy about football transfers; and the writer, Fabrizio Romano, works for SkyItalia/Guardian and a close co-worker of Di Marzio. If the offer had been made before the sale of Vidal, probably Pogba could already have been a Chelsea player. That's what the board have to think about and it should be more interesting to find out which are now the alternatives we're looking at than listen to some unrealistic Arab tweets.
-
That's exactly what he is, a box-to-box Mikel.
