Tbh, I'm not sure Fabs has a better stamina than Oscar. Might be wrong, though.
-
You ain't a real Chelsea player until you have a pic with Storm the Husky.
-
Looks like it's a typo. His weight everywhere is 75kg. Silly mistake by the official site.
-
Do we know yet whether or not Hazard plays tomorrow? Can't wait to see how he links-up with the new lads.

Looks like OptaJoe is reading this forum:

Different levels of attachment to players, different experiences, different opinions. If someone feels angry/disappointed/betrayed with Frank, it's fair enough. If someone doesn't give a fuck about this and thinks it's not a big deal, fair enough as well. There's no right and wrong reaction here. It's not an objective issue where there's only one "right" point of view. So let's not tell each other how we're supposed to feel about this. Ultimately, it's not worth bickering over. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Yeah, I think data on Italy is even more limited than on England. The premiersoccerstats gave Cesc about 1.65*the real number of his assists, so Giggs's real number of assists could be around 170 instead of 284, which sounds about right and is far more reasonable.
-
I'm inclined to think that both are not entirely correct. The list with higher figures has more stars of previous generation but got the amount of assists too inflated for everyone for some reason, while statbunker is missing some names and possibly some data from earlier years. Either way, it doesn't really matter. Giggs definitely didn't have 284 assists( though he probably had more than 131; 150-160 seems more realistic). ESPN has data only after 2000, and according to them, in 2001-2014 Giggs made about 90 assists in 13 seasons. It's very unlikely that he made about 200 assists in 1992-2000.
-
I checked Arteta and Ronaldo's stats in ESPN's database: they're more or less correct. Arteta has a few more assists in EPL than Ronaldo does (he played 11 seasons in EPL while Ronaldo played 6)
-
Who knows. It's hard to find older stats and the figures are different everywhere. But in that link with higher figures it shows that Cesc had 119 assists in EPL. It's definitely wrong. He had seventy-something.
-
Yeah, I've seen it, but it seemed way off. Cesc's assists are definitely incorrect there. I found this one here and it's a couple of assists off when it comes to Fabregas's stats according to ESPN, but seems more or less correct. A few weeks ago, skysports showed all-time assist-makers in EPL, and Cesc was fifth or sixth.
-
Yeah, losing stars in their prime is so much worse. After watching this video, I felt about hundred times better: 1.40 min. Sucks to be an Arsenal fan.
-
Found these figures, though not sure how correct they are(checked only Fab's, and they're correct): Premier League All time most assists Assists Assist name 131 Ryan Giggs 99 Steven Gerrard 95 Frank Lampard 89 Wayne Rooney 80 Thierry Henry 72 Francesc Fabregas Considering that since 2006, Cesc averaged 11-20 assists in a league, he definitely has a shot at overtaking Giggs. Giggs achieved those stats in over twenty seasons. Cesc achieved those just in seven. He's just 27. Midfielders like him, those that rely on pass rather than pace, play well until at least 33, if not longer. Pirlo is 35 and is still doing well. Cesc has plenty of time to overtake everyone.
-
Yeah, still very impressive. I think I've seen somewhere that at the moment Cesc is fifth or sixth in all-time EPL assist makers. Considering that he played just for 7 years, that's definitely impressive.
-
Wait. There's something wrong with these stats. Pretty sure all of them have more assists than that.
-
Of course we wanted to be strengthened and of course we replaced him. He's 36. There's nothing wrong with not offering a contract to a 36-year-old legend and buying younger players instead. If he's angry with us because of this, that's just weird. Frank is smarter than that--hopefully. Chelsea aren't at fault here. Nor is he, strictly speaking. He didn't betray us-- we didn't want him anymore. But he's going to play for our main competitor by his choice. It's his choice, which is fair enough. If he doesn't care that it sickens many Chelsea fans, fair enough.
-
Yes, rationally I know he isn't good enough anymore and is unlikely to strengthen City considering their great squad, but it doesn't change a thing. Still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. But actually, now that you mention it, replacing him with Cesc might have seemed like a betrayal to him, though they're different players completely and it obviously wasn't a direct replacement. Well, I certainly prefer to think that rather than think Frank doesn't give a shit about fans.
-
Yeah, maybe, but I think it's different, Barbara. We can't keep our legends forever, no matter how much we love them if they are no longer good enough. Keeping a player until he's 36 is more than respectful, imo. He couldn't possibly have expected to stay with us forever, right? Oh well. There's nothing we can do. And we've got Cesc Fabregas, to quote Arsenal fans. Total mindfuck.
-
I understand your point of view, but I consider a title contender a rival. I'm not angry with Frank. I'm disappointed, because I don't get why he's doing this. He has no reason to do it. No one can force him. He won everything with us, he earned enough with us to last several lifetimes, he's long past his prime. So what he's doing it for? He can't not know that a lot of Chelsea fans will be disappointed/crushed/saddened by this. Does he not care? It's strange. My first reaction when I heard the rumour was: no way, I'm sure Frank wouldn't do it. Well, it seems I was wrong.
-
He's still a Chelsea legend in my eyes too, but this taints his legacy somewhat. In my eyes, he was almost up there with the likes of Maldini when it came to club loyalty. I was wrong. I can't imagine Maldini going to play for Juventus, even though Milan fans were horrible to him in his last few seasons.
-
I'm not angry with him. I'm disappointed. I don't understand why he's doing it. He won everything with us, he earned millions with us, he's become our legend. It's not like he needs money. It's not like he failed to win trophies with us and needs more. It's not like we treated him badly--he's 36 years old, for fuck's sake, it was time to let go and move forward. By this pointless move, he's tainting his legacy in the fans' eyes. And for what? For nothing.
-
He could refuse going to Man City. He's not a slave. It's not like he needs money.
-
Next: Messi to Real Madrid, Totti to Lazio. Nothing will surprise me anymore.
-
Fabregas playing for us, Lampard playing for City. What the hell is going on.
-
I will puke if he plays for them. But I'm sure he won't.
