  1. I like the simplicity of the patch This will give you an idea of how it will look when used https://www.wearedesignstudio.com/works/premier-league-rebrand/
  2. Personally, I like the new PL logo more than all the others
  3. I quite like the sleeve patch. Simpler and cleaner. I wonder if the change in font means there will be new numbers/namesets to match the font. They're definitely following the modern tastes of getting rid of serifs.
  4. What's the point of being a supporter if you're not going to watch? I was hoping it wasn't too bad when he stood up, but from what everyone else seems to think, it's serious. Get well soon Zouma.
  5. That's assuming 1) John Terry won't take a wage cut, 2) he wouldn't accept taking a reduced role on the pitch and 3) we can find leadership elsewhere. We don't know all of the facts, and I doubt we ever will. If Terry will take a wage cut, accept that he won't be an automatic starter next season and that his primary role will be dressing room leadership and a bridge to being a coach at Chelsea, I don't see why he can't be given a 12-month contract. That said, if they don't want him in the dressing room and he doesn't want the reduced role, they're well within their rights to not renew him. It's still not going to go over well with the majority of supporters. We've seen Lampard go and score against us. We've seen Drogba go and play against us. We've seen Cech go and make great saves against us. Seeing Terry go on and continue to play would not be easy. No one has epitomized Chelsea more than him in our long history.
  6. Just because England invented football doesn't give them a monopoly on it. It's the most popular sport in the world, and it's been a long time since England has ruled the game. Maybe the Premier League is the most popular league in the world, but its filled with players from many different countries. The Chinese love football, they just don't have a quality league. That's the case with most countries around the world. There's other sports in the country that are popular, but to say they don't give a damn about it is completely false.
  7. I agree with the sentiment, but Higuain has 23 goals in the Serie A this season.
  8. Reports a few days ago that he's turned down an offer for Beijing Guoan, but getting notifications he's set to join them. Excited because I've gone to a few Guoan matches and like to follow them and that we won't be signing him up in London.
  9. Couldn't the same argument be made for Guardiola, since (aside from Real Madrid) he had by far the best players with Barça and Bayern?
  10. The biggest issue Leicester City will face in the title run-in will be the respect teams will now give them. In the first half of the season, some teams played them aggressively, not giving them the respect they deserved, which left them able to control the game. Now, these teams will be more inclined to sit back and absorb the pressure. If Leicester are able to overcome that, I don't see why they can't be champions. They already have 3 points from the last Liverpool match. Get 4 from the Arsenal and City matches and they'll be in great position to win it. Beat both City and Arsenal and they'll most certainly be favorites.
  11. I fully expect: Courtois Ivanovic-Zouma-Terry-Azpilicueta Fabregas-Mikel Willian-Oscar-Hazard Costa
  12. Maybe he'll bring Pogba with him. Wonder if this means the Cuadrado signing will actually turn out to work. He's done well at Juventus.
  13. 1-2 seasons without the league? I'd take that in a heartbeat. The decisions made at the club right now are scaring me that we'll be without Europe for 2-3 seasons. I'd be fine with this timeline: 2015/16 get into the top half of the table and get to the final of the FA Cup 2016/17 get back into the top four to get back into the Champions League, but for sure finish in the top 6 with a developing philosophy and a plan for all of the youngsters in our system. Keep the great ones, loan out the good prospects and get rid of the ones that will never play in the Chelsea shirt 2017/18 get back to challenging for the title, hopefully with a new philosophy set in place and a clear direction for the future 2018/19 win the title and giving the fingers to everyone This season has shown that our success/failure is not just down to the manager. There is disconnect between all aspects of this club and it will take significant time to repair these disconnects.
  14. It was against MK Dons. Did you see their defense? It was one of the worst defensive performances I have ever seen.
  15. Keeping us in the match. At least 3-4 shots could have gone in already if it weren't for him/mishits.
  16. Hey may not be 100%. I remember him in some discomfort after a challenge made on him on Sunday. It's best to play it safe.
  17. We like to make fun of City for underachieving in Europe, but when it comes down to it, they've had a tough go of it. It wasn't too long ago Pellegrini nearly knocked out Dortmund, who went to the final that season. Pellegrini's first season, they won the title. Last season they came in second. This season is still up for grabs. If they win this season, would people really turn down the opportunity to hire a manager that's won 2 premier league titles and a second place finish? Even if they don't win the title this year, I'd rather hire a manager that's had success in this league than someone who's never been in the premier league.
  18. He's managed 30 matches for Chelsea and has lost 1 match. We can go after a rockstar manager, one that will fill the papers and get people talking, but Hiddink has proven that he can be good at Chelsea. He provides a calm when everything is going crazy and knows how to get to the players. I see absolutely no reason to look elsewhere unless he doesn't want to come back.
  19. Di Matteo won the Champions League and wasn't given a full season. As much as I'd love to see it, this club is never going to go for it.
  20. Maybe on his way to NY Red Bulls, like a future exchange for Miazga
  21. I'm really worried about Kenedy not getting a bench spot the last couple matches. He's shown well when given the opportunity. Perhaps he's voiced some displeasure about the amount of minutes been given?
  22. I can't make fun of your optimism, but I think the top 4 is long gone.
  23. Why on earth is Watford more important than this match?
