Yeah but you and I both know that Mikel and Essien are going nowhere atleast until the summer.

I believe we can get by with a midfield of Ramires,Lampard,Mikel,Chalobah and Essien till the end of the season without shelling out 15m.

For starters I would leave the midfield problem for the summer when True world class players are available and promote someone into the side for a squad role till then.However if we must sign a midfielder then I would want someone with playmaking ability like Rakitic.

The thing is if we really want a stop gap then why not promote from within?Chalobah I am confident can help us out and Ake did not look out of place in the EPL or Europa league last season.Why not give them a chance?Is it really neccessary to spend 15m on a player who will be nothing but a mere stop gap?I know promoting from within is risky but at the same time it is very exciting and who knows the enthusiasm that the club trained player will show might rub off on the other players as well.After all this is a transitional season according to Jose.

We have enough squad players like Lampard,Mikel and MVG(Even though he is injured right now).What we need is a world class midfielder or someone who has atleast decent playmaking ability.

You know what I blame Jose for?our transfer window.I mean our midfield is so weak yet we only sign MVG(who was hardly going to be our saviour this season injury or no injury) when we could have went for Moutinho or Witsel who granted would have costed a lot but they would have improved our team so fucking much especially Moutinho who had a 23m release clause.Then we follow that up by not signing a quality striker and hoping against hope that United would sell one of their star players to their direct rivals and when inevitibly we fail to sign Rooney what do we do? we loan out our best striker and sign fucking Eto'o of all people .Midfield,Striker and depth were our main problems last season and we only addressed one of them so no wonder we are struggling right now.

I would offer Nat a squad role till the summer TBH but thats just me.
