  1. Lampard left them in 2001 so that just shows how shit they have been for 10 (and the rest) years. Their fans must be distraught haha
  2. Malawi 3-0 AlgeriaIvory Coast 0-0 Burkina Faso 2 weird results. Ivory Coast didn't seem to have any cutting edge, dominated the game but didnn't create too much. Bakari Kone missed the most chances. Nothing going to plan so far
  3. Sam lol u beat me to it. Hmm never bought clothes online, just try ebay, some shops/people sell new clothes on there. Ebay aint just 2nd hand stuff.
  4. The matches started officially today with Angola the hosts, taking on Mali who look a good bet to win the competition, real dark horses imo with the likes of S.Keita, F.Kanoute, M.Diarra and co. Jesus, what an opening game. Angola were 4-0 up with 11 minutes to go, and 4-1 up with 2 mins plus stoppage time to go and it finished 4-4. 3 Matches tomorrow, including the Drog Malawi vs Algeria - 1:45pm Ivory Coast vs Burkina Faso - 4pm Ghana vs Togo - 6:30pm Great start so far, bring it on!
  5. They'll get Henry next, you just watch. Maybe not now, but in the summer.
  6. I think it's the right decision, the grounds are slippy, the travel will be corrupt with cancelations right left and center as Hull is bloody miles away. Thousands of people all together trying to get out the ground on an ice rink is gonna be kinda tough. For the safety or the fans and the consequences travel delays could cost, the right decision has been made imo. I certainly wouldn't wanna travel up to Hull within the last 4 days or so, could get stranded or take 2 days to get there. Loads of matches off, Soccer Saturday is gonna be a tad boring lol
  7. The match has definitely been postponed. Knew it would be, no surprise at all with the length of travel. Long way to Hull and most of the country to maneuver. Gives us a rest and one less game Drogba-less perhaps
  8. We'll win if it goes ahead. atm it might not even happen with this wintery weather, specially up north.
  9. The snow is indeed back and it's back with a bang. It's been snowing here since like 10pm yesterday and it's like only been stopped about half hour. Got a massive downpour like 2 hours ago, was coming down huge. It's VERY white here. We don't really get much here so i like it (Till it turns to ice and i can't walk anywhere).
  10. GK. Petr Cech. But Carlo is seriously close. Cech prior to the head injury was flawless though. Great shot stopper and has a great reading for the game. His only flaw really his his indecisiveness at coming for crosses but when he does come, he usually gathers. RB. Mario Melchiot. Was consistent when he played and we haven't had a consistent one since. Dan Petrescu was with us still into the 2000's but was best between 97-2000 so it would be impossible to put him. Bosingwa hasn't played much and Ivanovic hasn't either. Gallas was best at center back. CB. John Terry. Captain, leader, legend. Enough said. CB. William Gallas. Loved him, showed great desire, was very quick and his partnership with JT for a number of years is our best ever CB pairing no doubt. Between them, they had everything and complimented each other. LB. Ashley Cole. Loved Wayne, but Ashley Cole definitely has shown in the last 18 months why he's the best left back in the world and why he is a level above Wayne Bridge. Was phenomenal last season. DMF. Claude Makelele. Is just simply the best at what he does. So efficient and he's one of the main reasons we conceded so little goals in 2004/2005's championship winning season. Integral part of our success. CMF. Frank Lampard. Has the lot, scores goals, runs back, brilliant passer, scores in big games. He's like the 3rd top scorer in our history or something stupid like that and he's a midfielder. His goal scoring form since 2003 has been sensational. Along with JT, he is a current playing Chelsea legend and will go down as one of the all time greats, not just of Chelsea but of the Premiership. CMF. Michael Essien. The way he over powers the opponents and controls the game is something to behold. He can do any job, he can sit back, go forward, tackle, shoot, score goals and has a hell of a hit when he catches the ball right. Still young too and has much more to offer. SS. Gianfranco Zola. Got him down as a second striker as his game was not all about scoring goals. Give GZ a free role and he's just mesmerizing to watch. Voted Chelsea's greatest player ever and we bought him at 30. Imagine if we bought him at 25. Absolute legend, you could buy a ticket just for him alone. CF. Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. His scoring record was great for us in his first 2 seasons, he basically scored all the time. His long range shooting was his trademark and he just had everything a striker needs. Not the greatest in the air but he was always there to put chances away. Fell away slightly after playing the 2002 FA Cup final injured and dont think he ever fully recovered but we all love Jimmy. Our first proper striker since Kerry Dixon. CF. Didier Drogba Just amazing. He torments defenders, gives them nightmares and he scores an incredible amount of goals. Not just scoring but you can almost always depend on him defending at a set piece too with a powerful clearing header. Didier Drogba is the most complete forward in world football today and has been Chelsea main man since 2004. There's still loads more to come too. Subs. Cudicini, Carvalho, Gudjohnsen, Bosingwa, Robben, Bridge, Desailly
  11. pretty shit that we cant watch it, there are obviously cameras at the game and in todays day and age, we should be able to watch any game we want at any time. 3-0 already, could be 10 the way this is going, game's already dead as dodo's. Loved watching Leeds earlier, they were very, very impressive. Still can't believe they won, incredible.
  12. He he performs, he'll play. If not, he wont. If u wanna play, u gotta stop being shit son.
  13. Well we dont have any strikers like Villa, we dont need a 'second striker' because Anelka always plays like a second striker and he's brilliant at it. The only problem would be, who do you leave out? Even if we bought Aguero, who would he replace? 3 up front would be scary with any of those 3 tho lol but look at Henry, he plays in a 3 (left) and he's nothing like the Arsenal Henry. I believe we probably dont need another striker and we should bring the youth through instead.
  14. I think Deco's been terrible this season, looked good in pre season and in a few games earlier in the season but apart from that, he's not been great at all, especially in the big games. He's a bottle job and gives the ball away all the time. Ballack has been good in spells, his best spell was when lampard was injured during the 07/08 campaign around xmas time but he just looks past it now, he's been disappointing this season so far. The consistency isn't there, his passing is not as it was, he over hits everything. Sheva was a failure yeah, he was a striker. Ballack and Deco have more important roles and i dont think they can do those roles at their age in the toughest league in the world. Sheva wasn't what he was in his younger days and was therefore sold/released whatever.
  15. Well if Anelka is fit now, we should be alright, he was up front a lot on his own last season due to Drogba's absence for a lot of the last campaign. He won the golden boot and scored no pens or FKs. I think we should return to the 4-3-3 tho.
  16. And it's about what they have actually done for us. I couldn't care less what Deco did for Porto or what Ballack did at Bayern, we need these to perform at Chelsea. Sheva was the same although he really did give his all bless him. We pay these players a lot of dough, they MUST perform and earn their money.
  17. We always seem to get these fuckers. They are struggling atm so i suspect we'll give em a bit of a spanking, we usually beat em 4-0 at home. Still....ive also noticed we always concede to a shit team at home in the cups, like Colchester, Huddersfield, Macclesfield, Scunthorpe and Southend in recent years so i guess it'll be 4-1 or 3-1 lol. Just give the youngsters a game but make sure we win. I'm 100% sure we will.
  18. Its great getting hammered for new years as u end the year pissed and start the year pissed all in one, great stuff. Hope you all have a great 2010 and the Blues get that Prem trophy back or the UCL.
  19. They WILL be good but they are still young and unproven. It's like running before walking, you can't just throw in Borini, Sturridge and Kakuta and say...."go sort us out for January and keep us top" it's not fair. In 3 years maybe, but not yet. This is their first season breaking into the first team, and they've only played a handful of games between em. Yes, they are great talents, but that's all they are at this present time. We do need to sign at least one player who can do a job. Awesome pic Wes lol, funny stuff.
  20. He had 2 good spells. One under Jose from August 2007 - September 2007 and one under Guus from say.... February 2009 - May 2009 and through to the end of the season. Apart from that, he's not been great really. Looks good at times, but he's a bit like Kalou. Hit and miss. He'll never be a consistent performer imo
  21. Declaring he can still cut it in the Barclays Premier League? Soz Mike but you can't :| Your time is done now i think. Go back to Germany.
  22. Gotta face facts, when goalkeepers have bad spells, they should get replaced. Hilario had one game, vs Liverpool, Clean sheet, caught every cross, and got man of the match. When the ball comes into the box, Cech is not sure whether to come or go, he's not dominant enough. That is his only fault really though but it's a major fault as a goalkeeper. Forget the Hunt injury, he's either a capable confident goalkeeper NOW or he's not. atm he's quite clearly not as safe as he once was. Let Hilario play against Watford and see what he's like in that. If an outfield player has a shocking spell, he's dropped. GK should be the same as should any player despite their status in the game.
  23. Squad rotation needs to be done, it's just part of todays game although i don't think players need rests after just 19 games lol. In the 70's, 80's there was only like a squad of 15 and 1 sub allowed, these players of todays game are also much fitter so there's no excuse with tiredness before xmas/new year. Must admit too, Kalou was actually pretty good in the 2nd half, was very lively but he just doesn't do it enough. He plays well 1 in 3.
  24. Good first touch, confident, quick, shoots first time and still shows confidence when things aren't going so well. He could be as good as Defoe if he continues to play. Once he gets one goal, just watch...
  25. Aww bless the little Fulham debutant, welcome to the premiership yoooou fuckeeeeeeeer!
