  1. Advice for a new manager.... - Never think the job is done or good enough - Prepare for the worst - Don't buy has-been players and invest on some youth - Buy some wingers - Smash it into the players that they are the best and can beat anyone (Our recent UCL displays have shown me that the players don't believe in themselves) - Bring in a proper number 2 - Don't be a 'yes' man and show some bollocks. - Make sure you have full control of team affairs - Pick the team and the style that YOU want. - Pick players on performances not stature. - NOBODY IS UNTOUCHABLE!
  2. Welcome to TC mate, you will enjoy yourself here, stay around.
  3. Yeah true, his first 5 or 6 games were amazing, then he did his usual shit for the next half a year lol.
  4. Congrats all for being voted, i'm glad to see my name on this somewhere finally lol but this is probably been the most active i've been the last 6 months or so. We have a great forum here and some very, very good members which i'm happy to be apart of. Always stuff to chat about and lots of differing opinions too which do wind some of us up lol but it's all good. Now Roll on the summer and see who Chelsea bring in, it's gonna be a busy one i assume!
  5. Everyone had spells, Anelka in the UCL, Drogba for the last couple of months, Torres for 20 minutes against West Ham, Mikel started the season really well and even Kalou had his moments here n there but it was quite a disappointing season in which i'm still quite confused how we came 2nd. Nobody was good this season except Man Utd at home.
  6. Man City have always had red and black away kits, kinda weird really but it's a tradition of theirs. The Barca kit looks pretty nice to me with a proper sponsor. Always feel shirts look empty without a sponsor. What is Cahill doing with Kaka? lol Kaka to Everton!
  7. It was actually posted there when i made it, i signed up there and saw someone had put it up. It ended though so i cant get any more signs and i can't do much with it, i never planned it to close so quick. Coulda got 1000 easy if it stayed another year or so.
  8. Cech, Terry, Ivanovic and Ramires were the only players that stood out this season.
  9. Then everyone else copied it. At least City were the first English side to do it, it should be theirs. I certainly wont ever do it at the bridge. Those City fans must be a bit fucked off with it tbh. anyway back on topic......
  10. Heard about that, fucking quality lol and just shows how much regard they have towards him and how much they wanted him to stay. Dunno how happy Roman would be about this but i don't think they really gave a toss, they're fed up of this sacking bullshit as we all are (well most).
  11. Thanks to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27jpQaPbpJ4 Kinda interesting bet lol. £201.95 in the pocket
  12. Either i don't see the results ot BL has crashed. Or just like hasn't got round to posting them yet. Not like i'll win anything but it's always good to av a look.
  13. We all know and understand what Roman has done for Chelsea but that doesn't make him immune from everything. He got us out of debt and gave us loads of money blah-dee-bluh we know and we appreciate it.... But from building us up from 2003/2007 and helping us become a huge world force, he's been breaking it apart. Since sacking mourinho, he's been a bit of a bastard imo and a very impatient one at that. We don't know the full story about why Jose left Chelsea in September 2007 but it was obviously due to a falling out with Roman because Roman just couldn't leave things alone. He was buying players that Jose didn't want, he was trying to pick the team, he wanted a different playing style.... he needs to get fucking real. We were awesome from 2003 to 2007 and nothing was going wrong, we won back to back premierships, The Carling Cup twice, the FA Cup, the Charity shield, 3 Champions League semi Finals and in 2008 we got to the final, Jose's team except from Anelka and nearly won it. Sacked Jose in 2007 after our most successful period Sacked Scolari mid way through the 08/09 season, should at least get a full season Sacked Ray Wilkins about 10 games into season 10/11 when we won the double the year before and were sitting comfortably top of the league. Sacked Carlo Ancelotti after a disappointing 2nd place finish. 2ND! not 6TH! ffs and he was a double winning manager the year before. I seem to keep saying this shit in numerous threads its getting fucking boring. We don't have a god given right to win anything, our managers need to be left alone to do what they do best and and the owner needs to do his job. He doesn't need to meddle with the management side of things. If he's not careful, we'll not win anything in the next few years and never win the UCL. Give it time! Hopefully mr Russian Owner learns from what he's done in the past and gets a new manager that he likes who plays the way he wants and gives him fucking time to do what he needs to do to make Chelsea the best team in Europe. We're not far away but we've got further away since sacking Mr Mourinho.
  14. Good to see someone who really has seen Chelsea change throughout the decades let alone the years. Stick around mate.
  15. Hiddink didn't have many games and Grant used Jose's players and tactics. Jose had 3 and a bit years, what an awesome record by Jose. Immense manager and the only man who can take Chelsea back over and take them to bigger and better things. If he came back i'd be so happy i'd cry. And yeah Layla is right.
  16. Well it's too early for him by a mile, too much pressure and expectation on a young guy. Lets see what he does in the next few years as we'll be looking for a new manager again in 2013 i can assume. Maybe that will be a better time for this guy.
  17. Dunno about all the hype for this Porto manager because he's won a crap league with a half decent team and won the europa league which Fulham nearly won last season. Granted he looks a good prospect but do you really think he's ready to join Chelsea with that owner that treats all his staff like shit and demands the UCL or you're sacked. If i was him, the last place i'd wanna go to develop more is Chelsea.
  18. Saw the goal on MOTD, pathetic weak defending. And JT hitting the post summed our season up really. Seemed very 2nd best tho against them AGAIN!
  19. Ok so the mission for the next manager is: - Win the UCL - Score 100 goals every season Easy.
  20. It doesn't make much sense tbh, we had a bad season but bad seasons are there to improve and have a good season next year. I think Carlo is probably quite happy tho, he came, he saw, he won the premiership and FA Cup for his collection, he got paid off £7m and now can go home. He's actually lucky to be out of Chelsea and i feel sorry for the next guy who accepts this impossible challenge in making Roman Happy. Granted we'll play good football under Van Basten and in the mid 90's, Van Basten did train with Chelsea for a spell. If he comes, i'd love to see Ruud Gullit back as his number 2.... Then i could say i'm happy. The reality is tho that the new manager probably will not be here come the end of 2013. Would be nice to see some dutch players come in tho, a Brazilian, dutch all star team sounds nice but it'll start getting out of hand like Real Madrid. The last thing i wanna see is Chelsea to be like Real Madrid from say 2002-2011. Jose's Chelsea didn't have a huge array of superstars, he bought players to fit a system and a style and it worked and we so nearly got the ucl multiple times. Now we're going for superstars and the cohesion aint there and our UCL campaigns are getting worse. Just like Real Madrid of recent years. Nothing will ever compare to the team spirit of 2004/2007.
  21. We'll never move to the next level until we have stability and the same manager for more than a few years. If we're gonna change managers every time we get knocked out of europe, we'll run out of names from the list
  22. We seem to be having a lot of matches pre season, seems too many. Would love Chelsea to play Rangers again though, we should play them every year. I remember when i did this petition in 2007, got a nice response. May try n print it, send it and see how it goes. http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/chelsea-vs-rangers/
  23. He's already working for us soooo..... Maybe Jose is too on the quiet. Maybe he combines his Madrid roll with being our interpreter for our Portuguese speaking players and maybe Ranieri is the kit man and Scolari is the kit man adviser with Grant being the cleaner, Ray Wilkins the head cheff and Ancelotti now the new appointed club secretary. Fuck knows what's going on there. What a difference a year makes.
  24. 5 transfer targets have been approved by Hiddink... What actually is going on here? Just weird. Chelsea FC = Laughing stock and a shambles
  25. So many idiots on this site, I'm ashamed of Roman and Chelsea today but i'm more ashamed and embarrassed that some of these cunts support my team. Plastic cunts.
