Fluctuat got a reaction from The Chels in Chelsea v PSG
Hi guys !
I really don't know what will be the tactics for Tuesday, but PSG philosophy is to play his own game. So, it is very possible we will not just park the bus as you seem to think.
I can see Chelsea putting a lot of pressure early in the game and PSG trying to hold it and then trying to develop his passing game.
As usual, small details will decide the outcome (referees, set pieces, individual mistakes, luck...).
I saw your game versus Stoke City and i'm rather confident PSG can go through.
However as i said previously, you never know.
Hope Cavani will do his job (he is playing very very bad since his injury).
Have a good night.

I always kept respect in your forum.
I didn't even translated the fact that i'm very happy my side won yesterday.
I,m keeping pragmatic because i know you are obviously feeling bad about the loss and there is no need to brag. It would seem classless.
I brought up some debate for you but nobody is answering:
Mourinho stated you did well in the first half, that everything was under control.
What can explain the failure in the second half ?
I think it is a sensitive point, because if you can address this issue maybe you'll have more chances in the second leg.

Do you know the club has only 4 decades and is the one who has won the most in the past 20 years ?
We aren't (yet) an european giant but we are surely a big french club...
I really don't see the point of belittling the others.
We were better yesterday and will come to the bridge with a nice lead but i don't think you are a shit club either.
You'll have to do your job and us ours.
At this stage, the smallest details can have a big impact: poor header= lavezzi goal, zlatan loss of the ball = penalty, luiz foul=lead to owngoal.

Speaking about forwards, Ibra and Cavani were really poor today. They missed all they tried to do. We were lucky that "el Pochtron" manned up today. We trashed him all the season but well he has done ok today so props to him.
Courtois on an another hand is a fucking beast. You'd better not lose him, it would be one of the worst mistake ever.
Football is about cycles and you have some big prospects, maybe they are not ready now but in some years. No need to offload half of them as i see in some posts.

Yeah, actually i was thinking the same. We were thinking Lavezzi and Jallet would have been the weak links but they did very good. Ibra and Cavani were poor/average. And i would have never thought about that Pastore wondergoal. I literally jumped out of my seat and screamed !!!
PSG was poor in the first half, due to very good Chelsea pressing.
You could see the two faces of Verratti, he gave away ton of balls in the first half but step up his game in the second half.
I'm actually sad Ibrahimovic have been injured, might be the end of the season for him and we still have important fixtures (UCL second leg, Coupe de la Ligue final..).
I won't brag because you are all sad about the loss but saying PSG is a joke while you have been defeated sounds bitter.
KTBFFH: blue team won tonight !
Hope we will see a great match next week: PSG has a comfortable lead but you cannot surrender. If you don't believe in now, when will you do ?

Each fan has the right to cheer and defend his side but there is no need for being contemptuous or for the nonsense (racism, wars, etcaetera..).
I'm a PSG fan and i'm nice to meet you.
I'm very excited about this game, hence i registered on your forum, to discuss and see your views about the different match-ups.
I think it'll be a nice opposition of stye between a team which likes to keep the ball (and plays a bit too slowly) and a team which likes quick transition into counter-attacks.
In this type of games, the slightest details will have a big impact. Just look at the Arsenal vs Bayern: a slight mistake led to a red card and an easy win for Bayern (which was stronger indeed).
PSG players tend to waste a lot of goal situations but are usually that much stronger than the opponent that they will end up winning. However, Chelsea is a tougher opponent, so i hope we won't miss too much. If PSG can score a fast goal, i think we will have very good chances. Our best performances so far is when we take an early lead, making the opponent strategy (stay back and defend toughly) ineffective.
The best strategy to defeat PSG is to apply a lot of pressure on their midfield, Thiago Motta and Verratti especially. They are the ones who make the play, with Ibrahimovic when he goes deeper in the midfield.
Our right wing is our biggest weakness as you all seem to know. Van der Wiel is not bad per se, but average, defensively but rather good offensively. Actually, he is more of a winger when we are in an offensive phase (like following):
------------------------------Sirigu--------------------------
-------Alex------------------Motta-----------------Silva----
---------------Verratti-----------------Matuidi-------------
--VDW/Jallet----------------Ibra---------------Maxwell----
----------------Cavani------------------Lavezzi-------------
Overall, this game can go either side and with a small or very inflated score, dependind on how efficiently both teams will perform and if there are some game-changing refereeing decisions.
PS: About the Ligue 1 trashing, i think most french guys want to say that, of course, Ligue 1, due to financial (heavy taxes), cultural (football isn't as praised than in England, Germany or other countries) and others factors, is a tier-2 league. Many hopes that with rich PSG and Monaco, better players will come, meaning more commercial, merchandising and TV incomes; bringing again better players etc => better league. The big question is, as weak as Ligue 1 is now, will PSG be able to step up their games aaisnt tougher opponents. That is why people gets excited aboutthe game incoming. Nevertheless, that doesn't mean we are feeling inferior or weaker, because if the Ligue is weak compared to BPL, it doesn't necessarily need that PSG will be weaker than Chelsea. Take the example of Bundesliga: Bayern is trashing everyone in this league with tennis scores, but we all know they are freaking beast in Europe. Be cautious, i'm not comparing Bayern to PSG. I'm just saying that even if you have no tough opposition in your own league, you might be, as a team, as good as a BPL top team. The game will give us some answers.
I don't expect your team to perform as you did against Crystal Palace because i know you put 7 persons to prepare a plan. Furthermore, Blanc is not really doing a lot of tactic changes, he has found the ideal team for him and he keeps putting the same players at the same position whenever they are all available. Moreover, you have a lot of experience as a club which we still lacks (as player's experience it is not exactly even but closer since we bought some word class players with huge competition anger).
About the FFP, i think we will get a fine. No way we get expelled as i saw in one post, because, as stated Platini, they don't want to jump on the hardest sanctions at start. They want to educate clubs and if they see you are not putting any efforts to comply after some reprimands, then they might go for full sanctions. PSG is trying to buy time to do a Chelsea (even faster to get more and more incomes even if being in France bring some limitations).
Hava a nice day !

First of all we are PSGFC fans, not CavaniFC fans. Last year we were playing with Ibrahimovic and Gameiro upfront, but the latter wasn't good enough. Leonardo was seeking for Cavani a long time ago and before his depature, he finally bring him to us.
Secondly, Ancelotti left us and we weren't prepared for this, so we had to bring in a new coach. As you know, a new coach has in own ideas (like Mata your two latest season best player who was substitute as soon as Mourinho came in). He started the season with a 4-4-2 but we were utter shit. Then he tried a 4-3-3 and it works a little bit and then better and better.
I hope that Cavani prefer winning playing at his right position rather than losing playing as a pure striker.
About the joke Mourinho made about Ligue 1, we can say the same with Bundesliga and Bayern. Of course, our squad has a lot more quality than others and Monaco is an hybrid team (some top players, some players from Ligue 2, some who have past their prime). But we can't deny the guys are doing the job anyway, like true champions.
If you know something about PSG, we have an history of big chokers or unlucky guys. Like we had 16 points lead and we finally didn't win the league. Like we were winning 0-3 at La Corogne and we took 4 goals in the 25 remaining minutes (all headers). So now, having true champions, true mentals leaders, true professionals is very good. And you might think winning the league is nothing but it makes us very happy. Yet, we are expected to win it but it is always an achievement.
Moura is a very cool and kind guy but a weird player. The guy has all you want but not waht makes you a footballer. ^^ I mean he is lightning fast, he is physically ready (not always the case for Brazilians), he has dribbling skills but he has a terrible decision making and rather poor at finishing. Recently, he did show a lot of improvement. If he can keep getting better, it will a be very good player. Let's hope he doesn't stay that raw.

Thanks for the answer !
We really understand what is FFP is about and it is not very "fair" rules.
For example, in France we have bigger taxes (now even a 75% tax on the earning above 1M) for decades. That is why at start the best players (and now even the average) were leaving among other factors. To earn as much as in England, french clubs have to pay a lot more (about twice sometimes). Contrary to the "La Liga", the TV incomes are equally spread. Also, French clubs are not allowed to have debts like English or Spanish because of the DNCG. If not you are relegated to amateurish level.
Due to this limitations, french clubs can't really grow. As soon as you have a good talent he will go abroad, because he will be paid more and he will have more chances to win something. The clubs are getting weaker in the field then, and won't be able to compete in financial terms too. Who will want to buy a Brandao shirt in the world ? Who will want to pay to sponsor a no name team ?
Qatari are actually doing dumping, splashing ton of money to build a strong side in the field with big names for the merchandising. Ibra is known worldwide and his name is associated to PSG. Our incomes are grown a lot recently. Without the mega QTA deal, we will be around 250-300M. They are marketing around the name of Paris, a capital of luxury. They even changed the logo to make more space for the name Paris and less for the "Saint-Germain" part.
I'm not that confident aboutt he FFP because UEFA reportedly found our board a bit contemptous and they'll have to make something not to appear like fools with their FFP.
Platini has already stated they'll not ban us from UCL next year but we can fear a big fine.
On the other side, our owners are thinking they are doing the things right and they'll prolly sue UEFA.
In my opinion, the most fair rule would be to allow any team a maximum budget so that everyone has the same chance at the start, but it is not legally possible.

You are mixing different things.Whenever you speak about a good player of PSG, you keep saying it is a disgrace and they lack ambition. So tell me, was Makelele ambitious for you leaving Real for you at this point.
Of course, after some years, Chelsea won trophies and players were proven right to come at Chelsea. A decade ago, Chelsea was just facing the one you are doing towards PSG. I wonder if you truly love Chelsea and know its history.
About the whole Germany thing, i can remember that two or three years ago, nobody was saying it was a top league but after last year UCL achievement, it is the opposite. I think it is a nice league to watch with a lot of goals but except bayern and a fullyfit bvb, other teams are average.
And yes, the biggest weakness is to be a french club: lot of taxes, equally distributed tv incomes...
French league was maybe the most fair league in the last decades and that ce cost was the loss of competitivness.
The only difference between Psg and Chelsea moneywise is that you could outspend during 10 years while we are doing it within 3 years. Let us more time and we will generate a lot like the way you establish yourself.

You can love your club without belittling others i think.
About the money thing, don't forget that CFC would face bankruptcy if it was not for Abramovic. If i follow your logic,Makelele who left Real Madrid for CFC because he wanted a better contract was just a money-hunter and was lacking ambition (imagine, leaving a club with the best trophies,a big history and some of the best players of this generation. Don't forget that Drogba stated he didn't want to leave OM but for CFC but the clubs had agreed for this. It reminds the story of Thiago silva who didn't leave Milan but it was too much money to say no for both the club and him.
The facr is our clubs are both rich which allow them to buy and keep world class players and have some ambition on european level. You don't have to love Psg, you don't have to fear it but you can show some respect.
If we come here, it is discuss, exchange and know more about our opponent, be it the team, the club or the fans.
