  1. Still 0-0. The VAT inspector woman next to Conte again. Now I know. She is a magician !
  2. Wait. You say it is promo stuff. So if we write yahoo.com somewhere in the site, it is also promo stuff. It's never as clear cut as all that and as it happens I find his posts interesting as well as informative on the topic. The fact that there are pitfalls in this type of enterprise was of course pinpointed by me from the beginning.
  3. That's too harsh. It's an interesting application. But everyone should be cautious.
  4. Yes of course Joe. I never forget you. I don't have time. One of my major pieces of software is gone -lost the source code- and it really has to be renewed asap. So you can imagine how preciously little time I have.

  6. Internet bettors are having a rough time in most countries. In some places all types of betting is illegal. Eg. the Arab world. Did you know that in Dubai where they have the best horse races in the world, the Dubaians are prohibited from placing any bets on their horses ? The Dubai races are offered by the bookmakers for all the world, but not if you are in Dubai ! But I 'm talking of those countries where betting is legal, horses, football down to scratch tickets and yet they operate black lists and impose thieving taxes. It's diabolical. Ten years ago it was a free for all situation in most of Europe and punters were lulled into a false sense of security. But a law was needed to protect our freedoms and such a law was not forthcoming. Instead prohibition laws were proposed by the monopolists. During the days of the world cup of Germany in 2006 I had some bitter clashes with some of the punters who were falsely feeling secure. I said that without some sort of organized protest movement we are in it for the take. Lamentably my warnings came true and the avalanche of prohibitionist laws started in 2008 (with USA-France pulling the strings). Betfair tried something in the form of protest movement but it petered out. It's like living in the last chapter of George Orwell's animal farm really and I wish something could happen. I don't wish for the abolition of law and order, no taxes, no profits for the companies and no listing rights for the governing bodies of the sporting events. I 'm not such a fool. What I 'm asking is the logical application of those and the end of the dictatorial regime we are all finding ourselves in right now.
  7. WBA are of the same caliber as Spurs. Not an easy one.
  8. Well done. Certainly not like the City - CFC match of 2014 (1-0). Women in the buses were talking about that match after it was over ! But still, great victory - opponents eliminated one by one.
  9. Well it's Pool and a smidgen of hope for Arsenal. About City we will know on Saturday,
  10. I believe City will give up the ghost, just like Arsenal-Spurs-Utd already have more or less. It's between us and the Scousers.
  11. The blonde next to Conte with the VAT inspector look brings luck.
  12. Two clear chances, two goals plus Alonso who should have used his left to tap it in. Not an impressive performance but effective to take us back to the top. Pedro scored one of the goals of the season.
  13. Up the (Spurs) a**hole. Right on time too.
  14. Easier than it looked. Costa has become killer. I notice that when outside the area he is not as nimble as the others but he has become killer. I expect a fair goal margin against Spurs next week, but the one after against City looks like a more difficult test.
  15. Socrates is trying to prevent the free kick from being taken quickly. I don't understand why the red card to Papadopoulos who is not taking part in the skirmish.
  16. They say he tried to use the Greek player's pants for support, to get up on his feet. From statics point of view it looks most ill advised.
  17. Arsenal fail to capitalize in the London mini derby. Pool 0-0 after two minutes. Any odds available on Jose having Christmas with United ?
  18. I never blame managers for poor performences / poor spells of football teams. Look at Ranieri in Greece for example. They give him a squad of dummies, he loses to Faroe-Northern Ireland he gets the sack. Then he goes on to win the PL with Leicester ! There are exceptions and I 'm afraid Jose is one.
  19. The first post in this thread says Aug. 12 2012. So that's how old the forum is.
  20. The British missions abroad who are doing a great job when it comes to saving stranded individuals will get Mourinho back.
