  1. Cech Ivanovic Zouma Cahill terry Dave Ramires mikel matic RLC Fabregas Play the most defensive football ever and hold the b**tards to a draw. Cost them 4th lol Boring boring champions
  2. You know that website I gave, when he said we are interested in Koke and Roman was asked to confirm the price? Well he just said that Madrid are after Mikel!! Lol sounds bizarre! All I can think of is Ancelloti loves him still. If this actually happens then I know the site isn't complete BS
  3. Bale gives what we desperately need, something we haven't really had since Lampard was still near his peak..... Someone who can reliable score goals from outside the box.
  4. I was a big fan and am now a big suspect. The hope is he needs to get used to less time in the ball and needs more strength (and balance too) This should then improve confidence. Or he's just not made for the PL
  5. Listening to media saying how adaptive we are, i had a thought..... well more of a dream team to be honest, it would be the greatest team of chelsea's history, really more fun to think about than expect to happen! But, could you imagine Jose building a team which could play in a similar way to all of his great teams? the machine like efficiency an direct ruthlessness of his chelsea 2004-06 the unbeatable defence of Inter with a midfield of counter attacking prowess. the glitz and aesthetic of his madrid title winning team. Thing is, im not so sure you have to really sacrifice one for the other (within reason)? i think your defence needs to be able to play both deep and high pressing? your midfield needs to be athletic and powerful (chelsea midfield) have the defensive screening of cambiasso (matic?) and have someone to control possession and be good at starting counterattacks (dont think thats cesc, but i do think Koke) Hazard gives the spark, the magic in attack. Costa can be dynamite and ignite a game that much more through confrontation, but we need another attacking theat. i think we need a winger/striker. someone who can play the role malouda/anelka did for us, etoo did for inter and ronaldo for madrid. ? such a team would win the league three times in a row very unlikely to happen though, i think we'd still have to redo at least half the team? what would be your dream mourinho team?
  6. Why is it a moot point that Terry is a centre back? at least we can say Ancelotti still had a good defence. David Luiz was incredible - on average - from January to the end of the season. scored against United and City. in fact he was MOM against city. assist in important games too, on average his contributions outweighed his brain farts. So Lampard suddenly went down hill from the season before? are you telling me that the drop off was that sharp? Well you would have to choose those two teams (its convinient to forget that Jose built that team, getting rid of like 5 or 6 squad players - big players like Descially and Hasselbank, Veron. He chose to drop Cudicini But lets make it fair, what was Mourinho given in his final season? robben was replaced with malouda, ben haim and sidwell and Pizzaro were brought in. Duff was replaced by Kalou. the year before. Mourinho's first year back he had a team which had been off the pace for years in the league, starting with Carlo's last actually. Azpi turned into the player he has because of mourinho, he was completely different the moment he started his first game in Jose's first season. He took a team with torres, Ba and a 34? year old etoo and finished closer to the title than carlo could with Drogba, Anelka and Torres - not to mention with a midfield of ramires - lampard/ mikel - lampard for the first half of the season compared to Ancellotti's lampard - ramires - essien. Plus he took a Hazard who was amazing in one match and off in others and made him PFA player of the year. This isnt to knock Ancelotti - he has his perks and his cons. But he can't touch mourinho. mourinho can change a team to win when it plays crap, he can turn good players into very good players. But Ancelotti has that eye brow
  7. he's a manager who picks the best players in the squad. when it goes good then all is well but when it went bad he had no idea how to stop it. considering the age of terry, lampard and drogba now - what 4 years older? terry's been amazing, lampard was winning city games at the start of the season and drogba at 37 has at least played a part. he was given david luiz in January and had at least had a decent squad size. Benayoun was never used and ramires was bought to replace Ballack. I think he is tailor made for Real Madrid.
  8. hiddink is the only one who was as good as him
  9. It was disgusting how he can continue after, disappointed in the medical department Really hope Oscar recovers
  10. In 5-15 years time, kids will be becoming up and saying I wanna be the next John Terry.
  11. Have a feeling that in a few seasons when we have transitioned, when Terry is gone, we have CB's that can play a high line and we go forward more...... We will look back and say damn that team could defend. Terry and Cahill are unbelievable when playing deep and Azpi with Brana make the back four top top quality. I mean world class. 3 games lost all season - one without matic (a place we definitely need to improve) and the other was an FA Cup game with half the team out. Everyone moans at PSG but in the home game the players just played terrible, nothing to do with mourinho. And it was 2 corners. And we still didn't lose. Chelsea 2014/15 champions
  12. I don't care what people say - how can you not find entertainment in being the biggest troll and winning the league?!
  13. Also Koke had a great understanding with Costa last season, him and Fabregas would create do many chances for Diego
  14. Thing is, I think our team would be better not because Koke is better in every way than Oscar but because the team changes, I can see the average position of a matic - fabregas - koke midfield being like a reverse of the 4231 triangle, basically Matic and the bottom with Koke and Fabergas ahead. This allows for better pressing and overload in attack and straightforward transition to a flat 3 in front of the defence when without the ball. All those three are good on the ball and I think are passing would be better than this season. Oscar's pressing fades in the second half for some strange reason so throughout the season pressing would be better. As would defensive solidarity. To be clear I think we should keep Oscar. Maybe he rises to the competition
  15. Yeh I'm just offering my view, which is nothing like Oscar. I think he's more of a robust, defensive Fabregas. Although Fabregas' technique looks so much more classy than Koke's. Plus I'm sure RLC is hardly going to walk in the first time (I'd love him to progress that fast but I think it's unrealistic)
  16. Here's how I see it, out of everyone in the transfer rumours section Koke seems most likely to come when you take into account the media lately and the type if player Jose likes. Plus, we have had a good relationship with AM since we lent them courtois, the communication has been there for years. Will he give us that hazard on the right? No Will he gives us that hazard in the middle? No But that's because I honestly can't see him player anywhere other than in the pivot - if I'm right - why the comparisons with Oscar? Surely that means Oscar and cesc will compete in the number 10? I think Koke will do to us what xavi did to Barcelona, not to that extent of course, but he will he the metronome. We've wanted someone to control out possession right? Take out good form and play into the big games? Koke will give us that platform. I see why people are talking like they are when they see him play for AM? I really do. But he won't play like that for us. Won't play in the same position, have an emphasis on so many long forward balls (certainly at home)
  17. Well we can see you don't know much about Koke - he plays mainly on the right and does better tracking back and pressure than Oscar. As a result he is always deeper and is one of AM's main attacking outlets in their counter attacking system. Risky, 15-20m forward passes are his norm, it is what he is asked to do. 78% for someone always playing those passes is hardly average. Perhaps you should check his stats for Spain.
  18. Coutinho's a mystery - it must have been the step-overs which did it. As for cesc I'm not sure I would have felt right him being there next matic and Sanchez. For me cesc compliments the midfield, he doesn't own it, put his foot down and take control and I mean in the big games not a home game against a minnow. When we played well he was sexy, when we played bad he was a shadow, but hey against 70% of the league he'll have an impact and that wins you titles.
  19. Koke suits Chelsea's needs. He can play in DM with matic and give defensive screening that fabregas dreams about. He controls the game more than any other player we have (would be our number one player at controlling possession) His delivery and attacking passing is as good as fabregas (better at crossing) our counter attacks would become more efficient. He has created more chances in the champions league than everyone except messi. So improves our defence, possession, counter attacks and overall chance creation? Can't see the problem. He's not an athlete and won't dominate a midfield like pogba, like yaya and not like matic. Even Verratti has more control of a game physically anyway. But he's far from weak and I wouldn't call him slow, just average. Verratti is impossible to get. Pogba is very very difficult.
  20. sure. The site looks a bit noobish I know but.. well all I can say is just see what he says (the guy is ED002 who is the main one to reply) and then compare to what happens in the summer. If he's wrong then don't take no notice. Just search for Chelsearumours.co.uk on google. its actually part of a bigger transfer rumour website. As I said, see what happens over the summer and you can see if he's a BSer or a reliable guy to check out.
  21. So there's a football rumours website I go on and there's one guy who's been very accurate for years (I know I know, same old story) But he had the Torres, mata, costa, Luis, willian and matic transfers right just from my memory (and before they heated up I'm the news) Anyway regardless of you taking what I say with a pinch of salt or completely ignoring me, he said that chelsea and atletico are advanced enough in their talks for the question to go to ambramovich to give the green light. Regardless I'm excited as hell. So not really seeing much of him I went to compare him on squawka, specifically with matic, carrick, Coquellin and Pogba. I wanted to see if he can't help us be more solid defensively while playing football like the start of the season. http://www.squawka.com/comparison-matrix#la_liga/2014/2015/koke/136/136/1546/0/p|premier_league/2014/2015/nemanja_matic/126/126/9284/0/p|premier_league/2014/2015/michael_carrick/126/126/575/0/p|premier_league/2014/2015/francis_coquelin/126/126/380/0/p|serie_a/2014/2015/paul_pogba/137/137/2710/0/p#total_forward_passes/total_passes/pass_completion/key_passes/chances_created/avg_pass_length/tackles_won/tackles_lost/successful_take_ons_%/aerial_duels_won_%/fouls_committed/interceptions/blocks/defensive_errors/cards_for_bad_tackles#total He's better than I thought. Not an out and out DM but very proactive. He tackles loads and his success is he similar to Matic, he seems very poor actually running with the ball and only wants to pass but that's what we need - someone to control the game for us. His range is excellent and I expect his longe range passing to be even better when playing deeper for us than on the right as he does for athletico. To sum up - he would compliment matic and help in defence, but matic would be the main DM. Pressing would improve as well as control of the ball in the bigger games. He would take pressure of cesc both offensively and defensively and would probably do the same for Oscar. He won't make the attack or defence but he'll chip in effectively in both and allow hazard, oscar and cesc to perform better, same will go for matic. Courtois Bane Cahill Terry Dave Matic Koke. Fabregas Willian. Hazard Costa Oscar and Zouma at least will be challenging for a place in the 11 so competition should be higher for places next season. Just have to hope all of this isn't BS
  22. Does that mean drogba is not on the bench? Which means remy isn't starting?!
  23. Still waiting for this thread to heat up
