  1. A house was set on fire in Richmond (USA) with a child inside and the rioters blocked the fire brigade from getting to the house. Animals. By the way, the child escaped ok! Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  2. The west is really fucked both in the immediate and far future. Theres no reasonable middle ground anymore for people to disagree let alone have plausible views. The US is furthest along. The racial tensions have no clear possibility of simmering down. The police in many places has a real deep ingrained culture problem. Any progress has only been recent decades and its fragile. On the other hand, you've got the worst, twisted perspectives coming from Frankfurt luvvies. Racism has been redefined that youd think america was nazi considering what people seem to think white supremacy is nowadays. People lurch to the right or left rationalizing that they surely cant be the unreasonable ones. It's a fight for power (in no short reason due to those who see EVERYTHING as a struggle of power) and everyone is partisan now. Ridiculous and well and truly fucked. Cant even be optimistic. In the meantime, theres a lovely breeze this time of year! Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  3. It seems theres more ambiguity into Trump's comments. When you read the transcript it's not clear he meant inject disinfectants. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  4. Which is why the question of how long the lockdown remains is a necessity. We are trading off scenarios which will end in death either way. Direct death from the virus and indirect death from crippling poverty. The question is the extent of death from either case. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  5. That's so stupid. When Christian's in the first few centuries stayed to cart for the sick on cities which had been emptied by those who could move, did they ask those who hoped whether they agreed with same sex marriage first? Stupid. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  6. Same to you mate Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  7. Is that supposed to demonstrate a logical contradiction? Even since Mackie in the 80's most atheist philosophers have dropped the logical problem of evil as a failure. They've moved to the less optimistic probabilistic version. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  8. What are the alternatives? I've been out of the loop for a week. Is there current plan to lockdown for 2 or 3 months? Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  9. Maybe my eyes deceive me then because christensen has always looked shaky to me. Will confidently disagree regarding his passing ability though. He's petrified to pass the ball forward at any alight pressing or shuffling into passing lanes. I mean ANY pressure and its straight back to his partner CB or GK. Really grinds my gears. 10. I've always thought that a CB that can play dm or a dm that can play CB would be a great asset to a squad that can play a back 3, because that one player can allow you to effortlessly switch between a back 3 and a back 4. Rudiger Ampadu Zouma James kovacic kante Alonos ◇ James Rudiger Zouma Alonso Ampadu Kovacic kante It completely falls apart if the full backs are shit though. But you see Henderson do something similar at Liverpool. He sits right inbetween the 2 CBS as the full backs basically act like wing backs. Jorginho is shit at this. 11. Putting aside the circumstances which put people in the at risk group, how likely are people to die from Corona then? If my grandmother is lying in a hospital bed at death's door and in order to visit her I have to put my hand in a jar a pick one marble out of 100, with 3 of those 100 marbles poisonous, I would consider those odds insufficient to stay away from being there with her. Obviously in this case, it's more like picking a contagious marble that can affect other people. But then it's a question of caution. What would be the chance of other people catching it from me? I could self isolate after visiting the hospital. I could take private transport home. I could do a number of things to mitigate the chance others get it from me. It's not fool proof, but life is a game of probabilities. I cant help but think that theres a virtuous medium between having a gung-ho careless attitude to the pandemic and an overly timid approach where we give up some of the most important things in life. I see comforting and supporting dying loved ones as one those vital virtues. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  12. I cant handle it mate [emoji29] Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  13. I saw Majid Nawaz tweet a video of someone cooking a LIVE dog on a griddle. Cant say he was Chinese (though Nawaz may have mentioned where it was) but certainly far east. That shit is fucking barbaric Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  14. I think close family members who have the right characteristics (young, healthy with no underlying health conditions etc) and so will most probable get through Corona like it's a standard flu, should be there for loved ones on their death bed. Obviously this can be abused with unnecessary amounts of people coming into contact, but its immoral for not one close family member to be there at someones passing. It's a matter of prudence Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  15. Again, my original post stands for itself Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  16. I should just point out that Ed Feser is an independent philosopher that doesnt work for or have any ties to the heritage foundation. He was invited to present a paper on the political philosophy of socialism. As such any problems to do with the heritage foundation or any other background parties have precisely nothing to say about whether his presentation has any good points or not. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  17. Loads of talk over what socialism actually is over the past few years. Here's a good talk on the political philosophy; Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  18. Thomas Sowell - there are now solutions, only trade offs. Welcome to a pandemic. There is no magic pill, we must choose where to try to save and in doing so what go let go Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  19. Lol. 'Hey nurse, I need he urgent. I've been stabbed and its caught an artery' 'Dont worry our surgeon Goldstein can see you immediately' 'Nevermind I'd rather die' 'I thought youd say that. Can you do it outside?' Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  20. It's a shame vesper left this thread just as I joined. She was a passionate heartbeat of it. Anyway, for all those looking to do what they can with Corona on the prowl, I would heartily recommend vitamin C & D. Both are vital for the immune system and those in the northern hemisphere struggle to get enough vitamin D in the winter months. Vitamin C was actually used in the SARS outbreak a few years ago and was found to improve survival rates for those that developed pneumonia like complications. It might sound silly for such a standard vitamin but China are actually midway through a study to see its effects on Corona its reputation is that good. So go nuts on vitamin C you cant overdose on it. 400mg of Vitamin D a day will help too. A strong immune system should keep Corona as a throat virus that is defeated before it travels to the lungs Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  21. Let's hope we sont fuck around with CBS anymore. Worst place to mess with. Rudiger and zouma let's just stick with them. May as well keep Alonso in for my stress levels and his free kicks. Huge gilmour time in jorginhos ban. Hope and pray pulisic, CHO and RLC are back in 2-3 weeks Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  22. I've got to say it seems Frank's hasnt got a clue how to coach a back 3 - and you definitely need to coach it. We've already lost the patterns we had under Conte (understandable) and hes not getting it back. Api and tomori were so fucking close on saturday it was difficult to pass out when it should have been the easiest phase. Honestly Frank play the same 11 when we were playing good football. 433/4231 hybrid especially with kante out. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  23. Conte is an amazing coach. One of the best we've ever had Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  24. Exactly. 2 seasons of football are showing an extremely clear pattern. It's a glaring weakness. If he stays at Chelsea he needs an assistant that can coach the defence like when we had Steve Clarke Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
  25. Has anyone found out if poch was invited by bayern or us? Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
