  1. Actually, he's spent most of his career at Schalke playing on the left. I'm not sure were you're getting this he usually plays CAM from.
  2. We parked the bus, plane, submarine whatever you want to call it. Quite frankly, the way we played was embarrassing, like Pellegrini said, it was like Stoke. They even showed more ambition than us when they won at the Etihad. I wouldn't admit it on a "public" forum, only on a Chelsea one. The quality of our play or lack thereof was a joke and it was difficult/painful to watch. If I wasn't a Chelsea fan, I'll have been laughing at the team in royal blue on Sunday.
  3. 211 never out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMSAjC8y_jU&list=UU-KQIG4-dyR1kIHCQFOJ-hQ
  4. No he's not. While I rate Meyer, he's done nothing in his young career so far to prove he's better than Draxler.
  5. Unfortunately, there is a lot of disrespect already. "MoneyWhorepad" and such name calling is completely ridiculous. But whatever, I guess.
  6. Wouldn't it be best if this thread is closed for a while? People talking shit about Lamps, our greatest player everytime he scores a goal or plays well, that's unacceptable.
  7. Jesus, this guy can't catch a break, can he? Let's hope it's nothing serious.
  8. You're forgetting about the FA cup win immediately after that game. Pellegrini already made adjustments, Mourinho didn't.
  9. That's because we never maintained any serious period of sustained possession. Just look at the areas Willian was receiving the ball in. On the break with 1 or 2 City players pressing him. Not just him but even Hazard and Costa were losing the ball. All their attacking players had so much time on the ball, 20-30 passes worth of build up while our attacking players treated the ball like a grenade. It all boils down to Mourinho and how he sets up the team to play.
  10. Another thing that cost us the title last season was negative tactics in the league at Old Trafford and The Emirates. Two beatable teams.
  11. He's been good all season, he's just had to cover the errors of some of his teammates. He only looked better today because we refused to cross the halfway line.
  12. Again at fault for the goal. He's been a complete liability defensively all season. Doesn't deserve to be starting games at RB.
  13. It's worth pointing out that Hazard was anonymous in parts mostly because of how we set up to play. i.e little to no attacking ambition in the final third. With that taken into consideration, I he played very well with the scraps he fed off of and was brilliant in the counter for the goal.
  14. Just watching the highlights of the Leicester vs Man United game. Deary me. The way Mata get's done for Leicester's 4th goal is just so typical of him.
  15. It's a point, yes but I don't see anybody bemoaning the fact we got a point at the Etihad, just the way we played and the incredibly negative tactics we deployed. I think that's perfectly normal.
  16. Riddle me that. We would have beaten them if we actually came out to play. I'm sure of that. Not from minute one but at least as the game evolved. We couldn't even control the game with 10 men.
  17. With players like Costa, Hazard, Willian, Oscar, Fabregas and so on, I can understand and relate to the frustration of our style of play in this match. If football was solely about results then no one will have any qualms about the way we played today. But unfortunately, for one of the biggest clubs in the world, with fans all around the world, it isn't. No one is questioning Mourinho's record as a manager. His managerial record shows he is one of the best managers not only of this era but in history. But he's not perfect. And part of his defects were shown today. We were clearly set up to play counter-attacking football (as is almost always the way with Jose away from home) and the problem with that is that when it doesn't work, we produce one of the most turgid brands of football among the big European clubs. Mourinho's tactics were ineffectual today, at least part of it. He said it himself in the post match interview. The "final phase" of attack never happened. But it never happened vs Man United away, vs Atletico away, vs Man City FA cup loss away, vs Arsenal in the league away. He's going to have to brainstorm and come up with some new ideas in these big matches away from home. We have to start playing like a big team now, not just at home but away to other big teams. No excuses. Can't wait for the next game so I can forget how we played in this one.
  18. I think you need to be more respectful to other posters. Your posts generally either come off as condensing or insulting. Relax, take a break before you get banned or something.
  19. I thought he played really well today considering he was a second fullback and rarely saw the ball in attacking areas. He played a much bigger impact in the game than City's star attacking players Aguero and Silva and those guys saw much more of the ball. Scary to imagine the damage he would have done if we dominated possession in advanced areas like City did today.
  20. I watched the match. They didn't park the bus against Bayern. They actually played football against them.
  21. Pellegrini just said: "One big team playing as a big team. One big team playing like a small team, like Stoke."
  22. Pretty much summed it up perfectly. Some are to blind to see it and take any criticism of Mourinho (and his antics) as an attack on the man himself.
