  1. He still needs to step up in the final third though (and I know it takes time). We paid 30 million for him, far too much if you ask me, considering that we bought Hazard for 32 million (a fair price was probably 22-25) and we are going to need to see some more productivity in terms of goals and assists. Hard-work, running and contribution in both halfs of the pitch is not enough at that price. Also needs to be more direct when he's in the box instead of putting in hopeful low-crosses. Can still improve a lot.
  2. Am I the only one worried about Terry being out? Luiz looked shaky against a Remy-less Newcastle and I know that Anichebe is no Drogba, but I fear that he might have a hard time against a big, strong striker, as he usually does. And I'm surprised people want Torres or Salah to start this game. This is a decisive time in our season and we need our strongest XI playing today. We still have 4 days rest till Man City.
  3. You know Oscar will never play in that position
  4. Always liked Jason Cundy. He alongside Pat are my favourite ex-blues at Chelsea TV. He's also decent on Talksport.
  5. Terry being out is a blow. Luiz looked shaky on numerous occasions against Newcastle. I hope it's not a problem. And of course we have to play the strongest available team. We have a break of 4 days till the City game and then a whole 7 days of rest till we play Everton in the league.
  6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gHCq8YHyAA Nemanja vs Newcastle The video is inverted, but it's the only compo I can find now. His surging runs and the way he plays passes in behind the opposition's midfield really takes our attacking play to another level. As well as his monstrous defensive contribution
  7. So he goes to Man United without having any insurance that he'll be playing his favourite position? Wierd. I remember Mourinho alluding to the fact that they surely would have promised to play him as a number 10, now he's being stuck out-wide.
  8. Gotta feel bad for the lad. He should have stayed with us till the end of the season and then moved to a better club.
  9. Some of the values on transfrmarket are skewered for players that were bought for ludicrous sums that don't reflect actual value. Hulk, Ozil, Neymar and so on. It tends to even out a bit eventually.
  10. It seems many Brazilians on that site don't rate Neymar as highly as Hazard. From the comment section.
  11. Just got voted best young player in the world by L'equipe readers (26,000 HUGE poll) and goal.com too. (Like we Chelsea fans didn't already know). He shouldn't rest on his laurels in the big games when the whole world is watching. This is how you get the most recognition.
  12. If we are just talking about dribbling ability alone, then Hazard is better, IMO. Messi gets dispossessed far too often nowadays. Not like in the past were his dribbling was unrivaled. In that sense, he's regressed. But of course Messi makes up for it by being a goal-scoring machine in an inferior league.
  13. You guys need to stop with this shit and stop being so small-minded. Chelsea is Chelsea. We sell no one unless we want to. Hazard is not a Madrid fan or supporter and we won't sell him. The only thing he likes about Madrid is his idol, Zidane, end of. Panicking like a little girl. Sheeeesh.
  14. Really needs to step it up. Another poor offensive performance against City. He did what the manager told him to do, but with he looked a level below other CFC players on Monday.
  15. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9mbOcNZS8o Performance yesterday.
  16. Just ignore the attention seeking twat. He only has to look at Ozil in his team to know an overrated, weakling player. Hazard is better than all the players in his team.
  17. http://m.espn.go.com/soccer/story?storyId=1704161&section=soccernetfrontpage-us&top&wjb= Mourinho: Hazard best young player in the world. Tell us something we didn't know, Jose. If this guy was Brazilian, German or Spanish, there would have been zero doubt by now. He's been the best young player in the world for like 3 years, from his days at Lille.
  18. He's a better dribbler than Messi. While he has become a goal-machine in a shitty league, Messi's dribbling ability has regressed a little from 3-4 years ago. Hazard is the most dangerous player in the world in the final third. It's almost become a must for opposition managers to double-mark him nowadays.
  19. I demand a fucking Iva gif of that hair rub after the goal!
  20. Like I said, no signing has excited me more than Nemanja since Hazard. Bossed the midfield and ate Yaya alive today. World Class.
