Who's replacing him? The striker that can't score in Spain or the one in similar form at Arsenal Price tag shouldn't have anything to do with selection if he isn't doing the job, he was bought for. Best man for the job isn't our £70m recruit.
I'd take either as I have stated before. Edging more to Giroud, the closer we get to DD but Dzeko is the better CF long term. Giroud on loan with an option to purchase is probably the best deal that's been mentioned.
I think the fact Emerson is supposedly part of the deal is why we're still in negotiations. I'm sure Baba hasn't joined Schalke yet, so I presume it's dependant on a replacement coming in first.
Needs game time more than anything at this stage of his game. He was frozen out halfway through his spell at Betis & we know the club still don't insert clause to guarantee game time. Only alarming thing about this supposed deal is the length (18 months).
Not sure if your post is aimed at anyone in particular on here or just a generalisation. I'm now of the mindset that all the clogs that make the wheel turn are to blame for our sorry state in recent windows in terms of arrivals. Managers of any club should live & die by their own sword instead of others.
We signed Zappacosta in the summer largely down to the fact Sandro wasn't obtained. I believe the player pool is smaller but the ability to get deals done isn't any different once the clubs have come to an agreement. The supposed hold up in this deal is the length of Dzeko's contract/wage. Shouldn't take weeks to come to a swift conclusion.
