I was mainly referring to our main players and those behind them. We can't afford to rest/swap at least three of the players you mentioned for starters in games that matter, resulting in less minutes for players that either aren't ready or those that should be long gone (Cahill & Drinkwater are two from a bunch). Emerson can't even get into our match day squad ATM, so there has to be more than meets the eye in his regard alone. There's obviously a drop off in quality in all squads, but our weekend midfield trio to DD, Cesc & RLC is massive.

Our back up players should have enough to make it out of a EL group or they shouldn't be here in the first place. I'm only talking about the group stage. I expect our line ups to get stronger, the further we go (hopefully all the way again).

They'll be playing the 6 EL group games along with a FA Cup outing.

He's a decent attacking LB who lacks pace and awareness, which doesn't make him an undisputed defender at this level. I think most people give him his dues when deserving.

He'll always have a lapse of contraction and that's something that isn't acceptable as a CB.

I think it's unlikely he'll change his ways despite the change. Time will tell, though

Balotelli signed a new contract at Nice, so he was probably a stumbling block for potential suitors (Marseille, Roma, Napoli, etc).

The fee was excessive for position we didn't necessarily need strengthening in Jan. Certainly not losing any sleep about his performances.

I'm sure he'll be our top scorer if he stays fit. Our best finisher by some distance
