I've been saying that for an age but everyone likes to come up with excuses from A to Z. I want players in certain to do their job rather than have jack of all trades cost after time after time. Michy can't finish, doesn't offer enough energy, poor hold up, etc. Despite all that, he has the best goal ratio out of the three options. Your dislike for Michy was made clear during preseason. To he's had "multiple chances" is farcical. Probably his only run was after scoring at the Hawthorns to clitch the title. Players shouldn't warrant chances solely based on being youth products.

He was sleeping when the golden chance arrived. This ain't Bristol City.

Honest question, how can Abraham actually be your choice out of the three? Michy should be the clear favourite with the par so low.

Abraham shouldn't have started. That single change could have seen us ahead at the break and we might be talking about a deserved victory rather than a shambolic display in the final 30 mins. Fine margins

When you have Azpi & Pedro down the right side for 90 mins, you expect the worst even against a semi decent side. Lampard's naivety showed today, unfortunately. Two liabilities in the back line will be replaced soon enough. Will have to see if that's enough.

I'd normally be livid, but I will take it as the first game and put it aside. The entire team needs to do more defensively.

The obvious downside of fielding players that aren't up to scratch at this level. Abraham shouldn't be starting games until he actually shows something of note.

We can't persist with Abraham for much longer in this game.

Zouma and Abraham are the two talking points. The former has gifted Utd their real openings in the first half and the latter was napping when a golden chance presented itself. However, aside from the scoreline, its been a promising half.
