He would have to be confirmed within the next hour or so if we want to play him against Arsenal. Clearly that's not gonna happen?

Liverpool are doing better because they bought Van Dijk and Alison, not because they got rid of Coutinho. Although they did buy those two with the money from Coutinho transfer

Maybe it's about the style of football and about the targets themselves that explains why the board are happy to back up Sarri. Mourinho wants to sign players like Perisic, hard working players at their peak for huge fees as well as midfielders and defenders that are physical above all but not so technical. I don't know what happened with Conte but his behaviour probably had something to do with his sacking and clearly he wanted players that the board didn't fancy. In case of Sarri signings, Kepa, Jorginho, Kovacic and Higuain are all technical and/or young players that take us closer to playing the type of football people saw at Napoli. And that been Abra's dream for a while hasn't it, create his own tiki-taka football team in West London but until now he has sacrificed the style of play for short term results and trophies. Maybe times are changing now and Abra has more patience to wait for this particular manager to produce the kind of football he has always wanted to see here.

Coutinho and James Rodriguez for example are thousand times more likely to join us than Eriksen. Levy does not do business with us.

Pointless thread. Will never happen

I like this signing very much, he'll give us goals at rate Morata and Giroud can only dream of. However, what I have never understood about Sarri's obsession with Higuain is that the man is quite slow. You'd think a slow striker wouldn't fit well into the vertical tiki-taka aka Sarriball that relies so much on runs behind the defensive line. Are Higuian's movement and runs so intelligent and is his linkup so good that it compensates for his lack of speed?

I thought they removed that cup tied thingy for this season

If true then Marina deserves a lot of credit

What a fucking joke that game was. Italian supercoppa played in Saudi Arabia
-
Oh yes please, this would be a great deal

£40m for a player like James feels almost like cheating in today's market. I mean, how can a teenager straight out of academy like CHO with barely any first team football experience be worth as much as a proven world class player and a former World Cup golden boot winner? James isn't exactly old either, at 27 he's only about to hit his prime now. If CHO must go then I'm definitely in favour of the swap with James.

The fact that Sarri has been using Emerson as makeshift left winger in certain games speaks volumes about how highly he regards Emerson's defensive abilities. And Sarri is the guy who always goes for like for like substitutions, he would never use LB as LW as a more defensive option so he genuinely thinks Emerson's defending as about as good as Willian's. The guy has no future here

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-6594675/Arsenal-eye-James-look-Mesut-Ozil-replacement.html If they are right, and there is a possibility to get this lad for £3m for 6 months of loan, the club should hijack this deal immediately. We desperately need a creative force like James to break up bus parking teams. He could easily play LCM, RW, LW or even false 9 under Sarri. He's also left footed attacking minded player which is something we are dearly missing right now Also, we cannot allow Arsenal to get James. He would make Arsenal more convincing candidate for top4 finish
-
Could also play Paredes in that LCM role if we manage to buy him
-
She's an accountant and her job is to make the excel spreadsheets look as nice as possible. What happens on the pitch doesn't interest her lmao
-
What's the problem accepting a one year deal? If he performs, he probably gets another one year deal after it, if not, he's able to move away for free
-
I bet thats far from being the only shocking stat involving Alonso
-
If we played simple football people would complain that we lack identity
-
Its always good to have some competition. It was clear from the start that Cesc was only a backup, not a serious competitor to Jorginho Jorginho clearly needs a break. He has pretty much been playing non-stop from mid-July
-
I haven't seen a good corner kick from us since Munich 2012
-
Completed for sure. There have been single games where Luiz has attempted 25 through balls
-
Even if we put Kante to CDM, who's the playmaker when Jorginho has a bad game? Barkley? Yeah no. We need a playmaker, whether he plays CDM or CM isn't relevant
-
Imagine replacing Neymar with Willian lmao
-
Kovacic has been quite disappointing lately. He's obviously incredible talented but you barely even notice that he's on the pitch because he doesn't do anything with the ball
-
Kovacic isn't contributing anything in this role I'm afraid We should be playing Hazard as the most advanced midfielder. Bring in Giroud for Kovacic or Kante Also Willian needs to fuck off
