  1. Exactly! That's why I said before... all AVB does is play the mind games on the press, getting them to think there is no interest at all, when really, there is!
  2. What did I tell you eh?? I knew AVB was talking bollocks!
  3. DEFINITELY a player I would sign today! He has 10 times more pace than 4 Kalous and 2 Maloudas!
  4. If he was injured, surely Shakhtar would confirm that on their website?
  5. Seriously, who gives a fuck what AVB thinks anyway... he's only the manager, he's not the brains behind every player we sign, that's up to Abramovich and our unwitting board to sort everything out in terms of that. AVB is just there to give the media mind games... surely what he says in front of the press is all lies compared to what is really happening. It was the same under Grant, Scolari, Ancelotti etc.. seriously, people look into this way too much than what's required!
  6. I always get frustrated when AVB denies any move for players, but he does have a point... Willian is cup-tied and there wouldn't be much point in signing him if we're looking to win the Champions League! Willian is still a playmaker though, and I don't care what AVB says, we need someone like him in our side to give us some creativity!
  7. I think it would be silly to sign him now because he's already played for Lille in the Champions League... but what choice do we have? By the time summer comes around, and he hasn't signed for us... we're probably going to be outmuscled for his signature by the likes of Real Madrid... what if we don't even qualify for the competition?? We'd be completely out of the race altogether because that's what Hazard prefers!
  8. Definitely agree with this, especially your first point! I honestly don't think the score reflects the way we played at times. We managed to create chances, but I think it was unfortunate that John Ruddy had a MOTM performance, otherwise we would have gone away winning 2 or 3-0 The high-line works, at times when we're on a roll in terms of attack.. however, if we are getting attacked down the wing or through the middle by the opposition, our defence looks uninterested and piss poor, which is why I feel it's the best intention to change the approach every now and again, depending how the game is panning out! If things get heated during the game, start going defensive... if the other side are making costly mistakes, get the high-line up there and it'll give us the upper hand! Torres didn't look confident today because our service is just shit, full stop... the problem seems to be, that he doesn't get enough of it, and that's because there's no creativity! I explained earlier about Meireles and Ramires being too similar, and that Meireles is just a useless pile of shit! We need to replace him with someone creative, so that Torres will benefit from it, and thus, his confidence in front of goal will get better week in week out.
  9. Totally agree! Luiz had one of his better games.. played more Carvalho-ish if I do say so myself... gives Cahill a bit more work to do if he is to push into AVB's side!
  10. I hate to say it, but I honestly believe that's where the problem lies! If you think way back to when everyone was saying Lampard and Gerrard couldn't mould into the England midfield naturally, it was because they were too similar in terms of tactical play and positioning. I kind of feel the same way about Meireles and Ramires. Don't get me wrong.. I think Ramires is a fantastic player... and one of our best this season I might add.. but what really gets me, is the fact that I see Meireles as a player we shouldn't even be fielding, and instead, someone more creative is what we need! You could place Mata in there, he could do a fantastic job for you, but I see him more as a winger, rather than a playmaker... which is why we need to scrap using Meireles and get a fucking playmaker in there... Hazard, Jovetic... anyone, just so it could give us that attacking edge, and something that would benefit Torres' game! Terminator X was right... Meireles was a panic buy at the end of the transfer window because we failed with Modric, and thus far has given us nothing if I'm honest!
  11. I had to watch the game on mute because I was talking to Linda at the same time, but what I got out of watching it... Torres and Mata both had massive chances to win the game for us... but we didn't take them... I think we dropped 2 points out of the fact that we were unlucky with our chances, not because our tactics were wrong, or the fact that we didn't play well, because that's not true at all... I think we played really well... our passing looked fresh at times, and I really think Torres and Mata linked up really well. It was also good to see Lukaku getting a run out too, about time we saw him running down the flank and beating people for pace! I thought he did that really well today! Also, Malouda has to go! He was the only player out there I thought looked awful! It's so frustrating watching him... seriously!
  12. I'd treat our rivalry with QPR as genuine.. but it's no rivalry like the ones we have with Arsenal or Tottenham... as a lot of people have said... QPR is just a small club like Fulham who are under our shadow!
  13. G'day! welcome to the forums dude!
  14. Even signing him at £30m seems too much, for the simple fact that he isn't proven! Cahill was a sensible signing because, as he said in his interview, he was at the right peak of his game at Bolton, to move on up in his career, and make the move over to us, and at £7m, that's not to be sniffed at... also, at 26, he has plenty of years ahead of him to fill the void left by JT whenever he decides to hang his boots. Signing Hulk doesn't make sense because we have Torres, Sturridge and Lukaku, fighting for primarily, one attacking place in our squad.. and yes I know Hulk can play as a winger, but it's the price tag that speaks the volumes, not where he plays! Seriously think about it... Hulk worth as much as Ronaldo?? ... do me a favour! .... While we're at it, we might as well offer Barcelona £150m + Lamps, Cech and JT for Lionel Messi and get told to fuck off!
  15. I don't know enough about him to even comment.. but if I'm honest, I'd rather see anyone but Bosingwa at right back playing for us every week!
  16. I really don't know why we're still talking about Hulk to be fair... his transfer fee is over £80m, so what's the point in even discussing it... any expensive player who joins the club have taken a while to settle into the club (a la Shevchenko and Torres)... plus a fact, any striker signing would only just push players like Lukaku down the pecking order! No! Scratch the idea of signing any striker. Yes, Drogba has gone to the ACON and he won't be available for some time, but it's this amount of time that we should be giving Torres, so he can improve his game, not replace him with another expensive import! We need to use the money we have to bring in a playmaker, and/or a winger
  17. I would clearly say my favourite player at the moment... Mata
  18. Piss off Lille.. I'm sorry, but that's too much money for a young Belgian who is unproven in the Premier League in all honesty... we're better off getting Jovetic for 15m cheaper! If we can't nurture Lukaku properly at the moment then we don't deserve Hazard.. not if we're going to throw 35m away for him...
  19. So, JT's going back to the place where he's hated the most then.. Loftus Road... I hope this time, we bollock them, and knock them out!
  20. HAHAHAHA! Kez you are an absolute joker!
  21. I agree with Jaimin to be fair. Lille are still in the CL, so in order for them to progress as far as they can, you need your best assets. Also, why sign him in January when he won't even be eligible to play for us in Europe! It would be pointless really...
