  1. I'm all for this!! A £10 million bid would be a real steal! Would almost certainly sort out our right back problem and would increase the "Englishness" in our squad!
  2. No neither am I, but I hope at some point, we will be notified of one happening maybe at the end of pre-season and just before the season starts! That's my predicion, otherwise it'll be disappointing if there isn't one.
  3. He has such good dance moves when he scores, this doesn't make sense!! Why couldn't he have just done that instead?? ^^ :eyebrows:
  4. To tell you the truth, having two playmakers on at the same time sounds interesting, but if it means muscling out Essien in the starting eleven, then I'm not going for it! We need Essien's strength in midfield, that's what makes us dominate!
  5. Modric AND Nasri?? No fucking way! Those four magical words... "Financial Fair Play rule"
  6. Give 'em Kalou + £22m .. that will do nicely! On a more serious note, I prefer Modric in all honesty though, at least he wants to join us, and he could be better suited for Torres.
  7. £89.5m is an obscene amount of money. I rate him as a striker but like Sh0n3x said, I'd rather see Sturridge playing on the wing!!
  8. "£26m for Theo Walcott" - Chelsea-mad.co.uk @ 16:56 on NewsNow
  9. If we sell Zhirkov, this move would make sense, otherwise, he's 27 and isn't needed. He's very quick though, I'll give him that!
  10. I see where you're coming from actually! Falcao was drawing blanks during pre-season before Boas arrived, and once his strategy fell into plae, Falcao started scoring goals for fun. The same can happen to Torres if Boas delivers the right strategy.
  11. So if they "do" go for Aguero, there won't be room for Falcao to follow him! And if they don't they could potentially move for Falcao (I'm not saying they will, because there hasn't been any reports regarding the matter yet) As I said before though, he will want to reunite with Boas if he joined the Premier League because of the relationship he has with him. He knows that Boas can get the best out of him. That plays a massive role in any transfer.
  12. I agree! If we're going to buy anyone this summer, then some players have to leave! A few articles I remember reading have definitely said something along those lines before.
  13. At the moment they are, but I don't see that being said on 31st August though!
  14. At least we don't go on a monthly spending spree, like City tend to do. We waited until deadline day to get these players, and massive shirt sales for Torres has helped to re-coup some of that money, so it not as if the situation is strongly hazardous!
  15. Exactly!! £50 million for a player like that seems like nothing now, because we have probably recouped some of those millions in just selling his shirts alone. Another good thing, is that SPORTFIVE have joined up with Chelsea, so any TV and media rights that they offer could potentially be good for our financial position as well, and this link-up happened almost at the same time as when Torres joined us, so because we're getting money from them, and at the same time, making money from Torres shirt sales, the £50m spending is already quickly re-couped! All City have been doing is breaking the bank for players and offering them massive wages every week!
  16. Yeah... "every striker"... meaning they will go for Aguero, Higuain, maybe even Benzema. I know there aren't any reports suggesting Higuain or Benzema, but there are possibilities since there's still 2 good months of transfer activity left. By the way, Citeh also have Adebayor
  17. Those days where the Chelsea players have a training session at Stamford Bridge, and Chelsea fans are allowed to watch them, is there going to be one this year?? I'd love to go up to the Bridge again to watch them train. First few years you could get in for free, but the last time we had one, we had to pay to get in I think. I wonder if Boas will conduct anything similar this year. If there's one in August I'd love to take Linda up there. She wants to come to London to see me, so this would be a really good venue to go to... (I'm trying to get her to be a "honoury" blue) :eyebrows:
  18. Not to mention the fact that Citeh are well in the Red when it comes to the Financial Fair Play rule! So if they carry on spending big, and keep totting it up, they won't be allowed to play in Europe
  19. the report is issued on sporting life now, so I class this as reliable!! Close the thread!
  20. Udinese sporting director Fabrizio Larini insists Alexis Sanchez's wish is to join Barcelona this summer. - TEAMtalk
  21. £25 million is cheaper than everyone else we seem to be linked with
  22. I've notied every time I write Ars "e" nal properly, it turns into "Arsanal"
  23. Yeah it really is! I think from the quotes that he made a few weeks ago, I wouldn't be surprised if it's us he wants to join. I don't think Sp*rs need him because they have D*foe and P*vlyuch*nko, and at the moment they're trying to sign Giuseppe Rossi. Arsanal might be a hazard in persisting though. They only have van Persie as a recognised striker, while Carlos Vela has been going out on loan, and Chamakh hasn't really been setting the world alight there. The one plus side however, is that Falcao is worth £30m and Arsanal never bid that much for anyone because they can't afford it. They tried a record £18m to sign Juan Mata! Man City don't need him... simple as! Liverpool have Suarez and Carroll, so they're sorted! The only reason why I see Falcao coming to us is because he wants a reunion with Boas.
