It gives you good results at the end of the day. Just to think, before Boas was manager at Porto, Falcao had his head buried in the sand when it came to scoring goals, but now, he's probably buffed up his transfer value in a year just for scoring so many goals. One day, these players will thank Boas when their form gets back on track, and I wouldn't blame them for doing it. I reckon players like Torres, Kalou and Anelka are more than capable of emulating what Falcao was able to do. And if that's the case, why waste £30m on Pato?

Yeah absolutely, but Nic has been really impressive during pre-season and Kalou hasn't been too bad, which leads me to believe that Boas might still keep them before the season starts. Sturridge has scored a goal more than Kalou or Anelka in pre-season! And to tell you the truth, I believe Sturridge poses more of a threat going towards goal than Kalou.

Boas just needs to play him more... give him a few games under his belt. Then Sturridge can prove to everyone that Boas was right to keep him. He reminds me of the time when we had SWP down the right. He's very quick, likes to trick defenders and isn't shy of a goal!

Would be really stupid if we let Sturridge go out on loan again! I thought he did excellently well during the Asia Trophy. However, Kalou and Anelka are ahead of him in the pecking order sadly Would love it if Sturridge could push out someone like Kalou, but I have a weird feeling that I don't see it happening
