For me, Kova has to be in our top side.

However vital Champions League revenue is to us, it's no less important to Leicester. Nevertheless, they've made a different selection decision. Let's hope that our difference makers do better than theirs and see us through.

My take is that it's not a training session. There is an important game to be played and won, and I desperately want to see it won. Priority 1 is victory. Resting players is somewhere further down the list. Way down. I know the counter argument, but I vehemently disagree with it.

No need to apologise at all. If one has opinions, and all of us here do, then there are bound to be disagreements. Where there are disagreements then there is bound to be at least one opinion which turns out to be wrong. Whose opinion has proved to be wrong here? If it's mine then I've been wrong before and perhaps all members have been there. Has my opinion proved to be wrong? Billy has done better than I felt he might there is no doubt about that, but several others who were in the CFC academy at the time of my comment have made more first team appearances than he has. Meanwhile Foden has made more appearances for a better team than Chelsea, and Diaz is a squad member for a club that can pretty much sign any player it wants. I therefore think it's too early to tell although I acknowledge that you and @killer1257 don't agree.

CL is always vital come what may. I want to win the FA Cup. For me, that means pick the best side you can. It'll be interesting to see what it means for Frank.

I can't deny that an FA Cup Final in an empty stadium would further diminish a trophy that is already much diminished from its glory days. Nevertheless, I love The Cup so much that I can never agree with this way of looking at things. Indeed, if I was the owner, it would be in my manager's contract that fielding a weakened team in The FA Cup, and losing, might cost him his job. I hope, and expect, that Frank will pick a team to win the match, not one to protect players for the following game.

There are a lot of Liverpool fans and newspapers will always pander to a willing audience as we know.. We need to keep some perspective however. Media once produced output like that about us; we were going to dominate for years, we might never loose again, they made such a fuss about the fact that we weren't even conceding goals that they incentivised Premier League players to score against us. It's all throw away silliness that's about as important as who marries who in Coronation Street or who is going to win Strictly Come Dancing.

Now, I'm loving football being back.
-
Yes!!!!!!!
-
Do it referee!!
-
One of my daughters just WhatsApped to ask if I was glad football is back. Not right this minute I told her.
-
At least 10 mins left.

OK, no need for Jorgi!
-
Get Jorgi on now!!
-
People, mostly Frank and Marina, need to listen to @Vesper.
-
It's not just the money. It's that they have focussed on quality.
-
As I say, Mason nearly always nearly gets it right. Read that opening sentence accurately, it is carefully worded. Last time I posted it most people got it but at least one didn't.
-
They are going to bring Jesus on. They are missing something with no central presence up top.
-
Expecting he'll get into the game at some point.
-
The notion that Chris would be a backup when the new signings arrive was always totally misguided.
-
Yayysss!

Logical. Indeed we could justify believing that wanting to extend Willian is a sign that we either don't want, or don't believe we can get, Havertz. Unless Frank wants him to serve to same function in the group that Drogba did in 2014/15.
-
I don't agree. You have to be able to see past the stats, or you end up buying players like Mateja Kezman.
-
Before he joined Barca, when City only had Fernandinho for that role, I was really worried that they would take Arthur. He looked absolutely perfect for their team. I really like him as a player.

Deleted. @Jype already made this point above.
